We have been taking our vehicles to Deke's for at least 10 years (probably more like 15). I also convinced my mother to have her car serviced there as well. We both live pretty close to their shop, but it's rare that a repair shop offers a customer a ride home, which is what they did for my mother on a regular basis. I've had 2 Mercedes, an Audi, a Jaguar, and a Ford Explorer serviced by them and they've always done a great job and finished on schedule. We highly recommend them. read more

We have been going to Deke's for mechanical repairs/ maintenance on our family cars, for over 15 years. I have lived in 3 states and have owned over a dozen cars. Deke's, without question, is the most honest shop I have ever dealt with, and not only fixes the problem you have, but does not fix problems you do not have. For a recent example- the transmission on my 13 year old, 190000 miles minivan was going - wouldn't shift, the usual symptoms. I was bracing for a huge estimate. Turned out to be leaking / corroded transmission fluid lines, *not* the transmission itself. They fixed (without even damaging the radiator bracket) and all is well, for much less than a new transmission. read more

Do not take your car here. I had two bad experiences. First, I tried had my passenger side mirror replaced and they tried to replace it with a cheap plastic version and charge me over $200. If I had wanted that, I could have ordered one online for $30 and done it myself. I took it into a mechanic because I wanted a quality part, and I wanted someone who knew what they were doing to do all of the electrical connections. I did tell them what they had done was not satisfactory, and they redid it. Then, I took my car in to have the brake pads replaced. Again, they completely overcharged and put in shitty pads from China. I didn't realize this until my car sounded like a freight train just a couple weeks later and I took my car somewhere else. If you want to do shortcuts and provide people with a cheap place to take your car, go for it. But to try to charge dealership prices for poor quality and service is pretty insulting. read more

Deke's technicians installed four new tires and performed a few other necessary services including the timing belt replacement on my 2006 Toyota Highlander. They surprised me by having my car ready for me to pick up much earlier than anticipated! The biggest surprise however was how nice my car is driving now! It handles so much better and I feel like I'm riding on a cloud with my new tires! It makes me want to go on a road trip ASAP! We got stranded while on a cross country road trip with a failed starter. The crew at Deke's got us going again. They were extremely helpful helping to diagnose the process and communicate their status. They completed the job in fewer hours than the "book" rate and billed us only for their time. I had my truck towed into Deke's Auto Tech for an estimate and repair on 01/14/14 Tuesday afternoon. Promptly the following morning Deke called me to explain the basic problem with the vehicle. He was very professional in his explanation and quoted a reasonable rate for the repair needed. My issue wasn't that he charged me $90 for the estimate of the work needed despite that fact that the company's website advertises free estimates. The rub was the fee for the estimated would be on top of the price of the repair. I can understand charging for your time if the client isn't going to complete the repair with your business. (The DEALERSHIP even waves the estimate/diagnostic if the work is completed in house....geeesh) After discussing the price of the estimate with Deke I was no longer comfortable doing business. I live over 40 miles away and I'm towing my truck home to my local auto repair garage. I'm very disappointed because my family and I always look to patronize small/family business as our first choice. We feel as if the services/products they provide are superior and small business is the backbone of our economy. read more

I was extremely happy with my experience here! My husband is a mechanic himself so when our truck wasn't running properly and he didn't have time to fix it, we took it to Deke's. They were so quick and went above and beyond to get our car running right and charged a very fair price! On top of that, the customer service was amazing and everyone was so friendly! STAY AWAY! He replaced timing belt on truck and called and said I had a really bad radiator leak, it was pouring out and I would not get it off his lot. However; for $300.00 he could fix it. I told him not to repair it that I would be in to see it. Went to his shop and found NO LEAK! I paid for the timing belt repair, and NEVER WENT BACK! read more

My husband and I have been using Deke's Auto Tech for over 15 years, and I would never go anywhere else. They are honest, reliable, efficient, and very professional. I had an issue where my battery died while I was at work. I happen to work right next door to a chain muffler/brakes establishment, so they replaced my battery. At checkout, they presented me with a list of "critical issues" that I should immediately have fixed to the tune of over $800. I thought it was strange, since I had just had my car at Deke's and no mention of any of these "critical issues" came up. I called Deke, who had me bring my car in, along with the list I had been given. Two of the items on the list didn't even exist on my car! Needless to say, the other place was totally trying to rip me off. I trust Deke's and would never take my car to another repair facility. Through the years, we have had Deke's service 8 of our vehicles. I have never ONCE had a problem with the repair work, or the materials used. Their prices are very reasonable, but more importantly, I know they will fix my car correctly the first time. read more

I called Deke's and explained my Driver door latch did not function and could not open the door from either side. I had already removed the inner panel, but despite the non helpful internet posts, could not unlatch the lock. When I called to set up the appointment, I told them they would probably have to break the latch and replace it. I dropped off the car, and when the first person called me back, I explained this and he confirmed that would be the best way to go, so he quoted me a new latch and installation. Two days later I get a call back that they had spent several hours trying to save the old latch, watching internet videos that did not work, and would have to charge me more money to break the latch and replace it. This brings up two questions. Why are they trying to save a lock they are charging me to replace ( were they going to keep the old one in the car and bill me for a new latch), and why when they say they know how to work on these cars, are they watching internet videos on how to work on my car? Fearing they would do something else to my vehicle if I called them out, I agreed to pay the extra $95 to get my car back safe. I then received two more calls asking me if they wanted the door panel put back on ( which I asked them to leave off) and complaining about how tough the job was. UPDATE: Since I have written this review, I was contacted personally by Deke and we discussed my experience. I do think there was misunderstandings on both sides and there were positives to my experience: They worked really hard to get my vehicle back to me before the weekend, the work does appear to be done correctly and Deke refunded the additional money. That Being said, I have upped the rating and will give them another chance to service my vehicles. I would also recommend them like people have recommended them to me. My Father in Law swears by them for his Lexus. read more
