Love this place down to earth, to the core and up. The customer service is always outstanding, they always chop it up with me and leave an impact on my day, I walk in there with a frown and leave with a smile. I go every so often and since the first few times, they've remembered my order and that makes me feel over the top because I'm reminded that there's people who pay attention to the details I let out. That's the place people want to go to so they can retrieve their favorite pie or other dishes they wish to desire. Which leads me to my next point, OH BOY, the variety they have on their menu overflows my mind with fireworks and consumes my thoughts. Awesome place I love hole in the wall family owned restaurants mostly because the care about the food. This place was great closed my eyes and thought I was at rays pizza in NY. The pizza was fresh hot and tasty the Stromboli's was perfectly prepared not greasy with meat in every bite. If I had one think I didn't like was the garlic knots they were over done but that could be a fluke... will definitely go back and try different things. Just moved down from Long Island City. Let's keep 100. There are pizzaire's in NYC that shouldn't claim NYC style pizza. With that said, this shop shouldn't either. The cheese is average and the dough is horrible. I went in on a slow night and asked for a large pie with pepperoni. I was told it would take 15 minutes. I went outside and came back in. The same guy that took my order asked me if I ordered a large cheese, I said no, "I ordered from you a large pepperoni". He checked the order and gave me the box. I went outside and checked the box and discovered that only half the pie had pepperoni. I went back in and advised him of the discrepancy, he told me they made a mistake. Next time we will get it right. No you will not get it right, there will not be a next time. I ordered a large pie with Pepperoni, not pepperoni and Rona. We love thin crust pizza. We were visiting and in town for the week and after attending the Carson5th car show, we were wanting something quick while on our way back to our place. Saw Moravela's and decided to stop in on a whim. Absolutely loved the pizza and experience. Great service from the owner and his staff. My wife and I both had a slice of meat lovers. We enjoyed it so much we stopped in a couple more times while in Naples. You can get whatever toppings you want! Definitely recommend this place if you like a thin crispy NY Style crust and ask for the toppings you want! They will accommodate you. OK, I have ordered twice from Moravelas Pizza, once for a Sicilian pizza, which was fantastic, and once for a cold Italian sub with the works, also fantastic. The ingredients used in their food are top of the line, fresh, and delicious. I've eaten a lot of Italian food and having the best ingredients really matters. I ordered for home delivery and each time, someone from the restaurant called to confirm that what I had ordered online was actually what I wanted. I personally appreciated that extra touch. We went to Moravela's after reading the recent reviews here on Yelp, and despite our expectations being high, they were nevertheless exceeded by what is definitely the tastiest thin crust pizza I've ever had. Now, let me be frank. I'm a bread-and-butter Midwesterner who grew up in Detroit. Back then, my favorite pizza was a deep dish square pie from Buddy's; authentic New York style pizza was a relative unknown. So while I may not have the pedigree to really know a great NY style pizza when I taste it, I can't imagine that it gets much better than Moravela's -- and certainly not in Florida, which (as I've discovered in my 10 years of living here) is not exactly known for great pizza. Moravela's is in a little plaza mall on Airport Rd. just south of Davis, across the street from the Home Depot. It's a small place with a counter and a handful of tables, but there was no one there when we arrived and thus plenty of room. Deciding to dine in, I ordered a 14" thin crust pie with beef, onions and green peppers (an old childhood favorite). While we waited for it, we received two free mini-slices of cheese pizza to sample, and I was impressed even by them -- hot and fresh, just the right amount of crispness to the crust, great balance of sauce and cheese. My wife doesn't like pizza, but when she saw how much I liked the samples, she ordered a plate of spaghetti with sausage. When the food arrived, I was honestly blown away. The pizza was generously topped with fresh vegetables and perfectly-seasoned, flavorful beef. I tend to prefer thicker crust, but this was among the best thin crusts I've eaten; it was neither too dry or too tough, which is the problem I often run into with thin crusts. My wife's spaghetti came with an extremely flavorful sauce and very generous slices of sausage; the owners were happy to prepare it without butter or cheese per her request, and she thoroughly enjoyed it. In the years I've lived here, I've tried a variety of local pizza parlors and never really came away being "wowed," although a couple of places came close. But Moravela's is a whole new ball game. Just went to the new shop on Everglades last night. We picked it up. The crust tasted like cardboard. That sauce has no flavor and the pepperoni was so spicy that we had to throw it away. Walked into a small dining area, you could look into the kitchen to see dough being formed and pizzas topped. We sat down and looked over the to go menu and finally decided on a 18" Hawaii pizza, 1 slice of Bianca, 1 slice of white broccoli, and one slice of white chicken broccoli. At first the gentleman taking our order seemed troubled that he had to make 3 fresh pizzas just to sell us a slice of each but the lady there who seemed like she was in charge ;) told us of course they could make it for us. We were excited about that and returned to our seats until our pizzas came out. Inside: a few tables and a high top bar area over looking the kitchen. A tv was mounted on the wall had a soccer game on. It was pretty hot inside, probably due to the large oven. Over all fairly clean area. Food: Our pizzas came out and we headed home, the price for our lunch trip was $35 which seems fair for some fresh, made right in front of you- slices. The Hawaiian was delicious! Crisp crust, generous amounts of pineapple and ham, and a delightful tomato sauce with the perfect amount of sweet to it. The white chicken broccoli and white broccoli were both missing the tomato but was none the less devoured and delicious. My Bianca was good, a little dry for my liking but I still enjoyed it. Overall experience was good, we would return but I recommend you call ahead so you can pick up the pies and enjoy at home, especially if you have a party of 4 or more. read more
