The Bronx pie and a Cheese Pie
    Duuglas Q.

Quality of the pizza seems to have gone down since the opening, would have left it at a 4, but the $20+ per pie you should at Least get a consistent cheese pie- not to mention went in for a quick lunch the other day- no cheese slices available at 12 pm? Wierd- def Thought that was odd. Meatball sub is good, chicken roll good too a bit doughy but good- but imo the pizza should be a staple and it's just been off the mark the last few months, from sloppy lopsided cuts- to minimal sauce, to today's pickup of a thick breaded pie- it's just not really leaving me feeling like there's a reason to come back- even the slices look meh lately- I haven't seen Tony there on my drop Ins, so maybe that's the missing link idk-

    The Bronx pizza

After reading the reviews on Tony's NY Pizza, I knew it would be on my list of places to eat. It's always fun to try and find real NY style pizza. The restaurant impressed me with its cozy brick wall and wood tables. The menu has a great selection of Italian favorites and of course, pizza. We decided on a pizza called The Bronx, with meatballs, ricotta cheese and fresh basil. The toppings were delicious although the crust was a little too crispy. Some of the best pizza I've eaten in New York had softer crusts. A crisp crust doesn't have much flavor and usually tastes like cardboard. I've noticed that a soft crust brings out the tasty bread flavor of the dough. Still, their crust was good, although not quite to my liking. The server was quick with our drinks and food, the restaurant was clean and surprisingly reasonable, considering this restaurant is located in the heart of expensive Tamiami Trail. I'd recommend checking out Tony's, especially if you enjoy authentic New York style pizza.

Although the restaurant is small, the flavor is big! The menu has a good variety of pizza, calzone, salads and even a few subs. The pizza with the cauliflower crust was interesting and so was the Sicilian, but we decided on the usual pepperoni. This was a great choice, the flavors were balanced and the crust is true New York style, both crusty and chewy. It's one of the best pizza crusts I've found in Naples, IMO New York crusts make the best pizza. Service was fast and the staff is great, it's obvious they make a lot of pizzas here and know their stuff. If you like New York style pizza, this is a place to check out.

I must have made a face when I took my first sip as the bartender asked me if I liked it. Actually I didn't, It might be the worst I have ever drank, and I order them all the time. He asked what he could do to make it better, and I didn't really know what was wrong with it. Maybe there wasn't any simple syrup? We were fortunately seated outside, as it was very noisy inside. We had a great table and our server came with our menu and the wine list as well as some crusty bread. There are numerous salads, appetizers, entrees, and even pizza on the menu. I started with a Caesar salad, which I thought was super pricey, but was very good. I was able to enjoy it before I ordered my entree. I chose the gnocchi and a glass of wine. The gnocchi came out in minutes and was some of the lightest, fluffiest gnocchi I have had since New York City ages ago. Good choice. The server wasn't rushing us, but let us enjoy our meal at our pace, which was refreshing. Overall, nice experience.

The atmosphere is cozy with warm lighting, making it a good spot to relax and enjoy a meal. There is also a bar area with TVs, which felt a little different from the typical Italian vibe, but it did not take away from the experience. Service was friendly, but it was a busy Saturday night and you could definitely feel it. Everything moved a bit slower, and we had to wait about 10 to 15 minutes for the check at the end because our server was not around. We started with the meatballs in red sauce and really enjoyed them. Simple, flavorful, and a great appetizer to share. One thing I was not expecting was being charged for the bread. It was fresh and good, but it is not something I usually associate with Italian restaurants. For the main course, we had the cacio e pepe. The flavor was there, but the sauce was a bit too liquid for my preference. It is a difficult dish to get right, and while it was good, I think it could have been a little better. The tiramisu was absolutely the highlight. The balance between the cream and the ladyfingers was spot on, and it ended up being my favorite thing we ordered. Overall, good location, nice atmosphere, and solid food. The tiramisu is the one thing I would absolutely come back for.
