    Carbonara pizza
    Carrie C.

First time and saw outside that it had won some Best of awards. Guy Fieri had been there and that was enough to give this a try! So glad we did. It wasn't busy that day. We were in between lunch and dinner. Host sat us where we asked outside and everyone there was delightful! The decor was simple but very welcoming and it was super clean! We ordered some cocktails and the carbonara pizza! It was probably one of the best pizzas I have ever tasted! Well done! We will be back!

Went because it was on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and was worried it was going to be all hype but the food wasn't disappointing. Had to order the meatballs as they were featured on the show but that was probably the weakest of the three things I had. The meatballs weren't bad, but they did not blow me away. I also shared fried seafood (calamari and shrimp) with my son, it was excellent. How, not greasy and the shrimp were particularly nice. The highlight was the fish special, grouper with risotto. The grouper was fantastic, fresh, great texture perfectly cooked. I am not a big risotto guy but this was fantastic, very, very rich and flavorful.

The service and ambiance was some of the best I've ever experienced! Not to mention the food... I've been to Italy several times and this food was just as good, if not better. From the meat to the sauces, and the pizza was some of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend! Lastly... DO NOT miss out on the Nutella Pizza. Best desert ever!!

This place has a real Italian vibe just like the motherland. The ambience is great and the staff are all amazing!! We started with mussels which were amazing with bread to swap up the delicious sauce. I had the veal Milanese. It was the bomb. The salad on top was perfectly dressed so it didn't take the crunch from the veal. My wife had the lobster ravs with half a lobster. Amazing!!!! Definitely will be back.

We went here for lunch a few days before Christmas. We sat outside which was nice. We had ordered a pizza and salad to start, pizza was good but a little soggy in the center. Everyone enjoyed their main courses. The bread was delish and we couldn't get enough of it! The service was good but could've been a touch better as far as attentiveness. Overall I would go back!

3/7/25: Molto Trattoria is very charming from the outside. We did make reservations since it was a party of five. However, I would skip this place in the future. We had the option of indoor or outdoor dining. We opted for the outdoor dining. Since we were a party of five, they put two tables together. A female server took our order right away. It took a long time for the drinks and food to come out. My bf and I shared a Margherita Pizza. It took a long time just to find a server to request some oregano. You would think in a casual Italian restaurant they would have it on the table? Even with the oregano, I thought the pizza tasted like cardboard. There were other issues. I think one person out of the five of us, enjoyed their meal. When we were finished eating, it took forever for someone to come to clear the table. Again, we waited a long time for someone to come with the checks. The initial server came back with the checks. Unfortunately, she had an attitude. Maybe there was an issue getting enough help? On a Friday afternoon, a business better have enough help. Parking is a whole another issue in that area.

My experience began with a very warm greeting from the staff. We were able to sit anywhere since we went mid-afternoon. The dining room is absolutely adorable! The bar is very enticing as well and I'll be back, when possible, to sit at the bar and enjoy happy hour! Given the time of day, only ordered a cocktail and "snack" -- pizza. The cocktail was delicious. I was pleased they were able to accommodate me by changing rum instead of vodka due to an allergy. Wish I could recall the cocktail's name. There were SO many that sounded delicious! I ordered the pizza that has 1/3 margarita, 1/3 with Buffala cheese & 1/3 with arugula and prosciutto. The pizza was absolutely delicious and definitely reminded me of the pizza I had in Napoli, Italy. The crust was very thin and also very tasty. The ingredients used tasted top notch! Looking forward to going back and trying more dishes and cocktails. Parking is very limited. As far as I could tell there was only street parking. There are 2 handicap spaces at the bank of the building, through a very cutesy alleyway-ish. Restrooms are for 1. Give it a go!! I'll certainly be back!

Delicious! We split a pizza and everyone got their own pasta dish and we loved every bite. The restaurant was busy but service was quick and efficient.

This is my second time here and I think I've had the same experience both times. I came her with a group of 5 last night. The restaurant is always full. Very authentic Italian vibes. The same woman took our orders but every once in a while, a male would come over to ask if we need anything but anything we asked him for did not come. Here's what we ordered and what I thought: Apps: - Molto Pizza -- very good! Parma was my favorite (most flavorful). - Calamari -- very good, came with shrimp. Should have added lemon. - Caesar Salad -- added anchovies for $3 and the server didn't tell me that first. Mains: - Tagliolini con Polpette e Ricotta -- good but pasta lacked flavor and so did the meatballs. - Tagliolini with Truffle and Mushrooms -- also good, but again lacked salt. - Spaghetti Carbonara -- super salty!! - Pappardelle Pesto and Shrimp -- my favorite of the night!! Very good! - Gnocchi alla Sorrentina -- my least favorite of the night. *they also give complimentary bread and it's the smallest loaf and they only bring one?? It was so weird.

Molto had a trendy vibe and all of the staff were friendly and attentive. They tend to be busy so make sure to get a reservation in advance. The bruschetta appetizer was phenomenal on warm toasted bread. Caprese was simple and delicious. For dinner we had the chicken parm and pasta with meatballs. They weren't bad but I wish we had chosen different dishes. The chicken parm was too breading heavy for my liking and wasn't like a traditional bread crumbed cutlet. I also like my cutlets very thin. The meatballs lacked flavor to me and the sauce wasn't anything amazing. I think it would've been better to go with some specialities on the menu and things that are less American. The almond cake and gelato were good and a nice way to finish the meal. Would go back but would order different meals for sure!

You cannot beat the service at Molto Trattoria, their staff is on top of every detail! We ordered up the Homemade Meatballs and the Margherita Pizza...both were outstanding and the ingredients seemingly fresh from Italy! A very busy place on a Wednesday night so make sure and make reservations! Very classic Italian feel to the place and you can see the big oven from the front door. This was our 131st Diners Drive-Ins and Dives stop and a very good one at that.

From the moment we sat down, the energy and ambiance set the tone -- lively, authentic, and exactly what you hope for in a great Italian spot. The food was exceptional across the board. The chicken parm was perfectly prepared, the carbonara rich and authentic, and the chicken piccata balanced beautifully with bright, fresh flavors. Every dish felt like it was made with real care and tradition. Dessert took it to another level -- the gelato was fantastic, but the real highlight was the tableside homemade tiramisu, which was both impressive and absolutely delicious. A perfect ending... until the espresso martinis arrived. Smooth, well-crafted, and honestly some of the best we've had. What truly made the night unforgettable was the service. Leonardo -- straight from Amalfi, Italy -- delivered one of the best dining experiences we've ever had. Attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm, he elevated the entire evening. Great food, incredible service, and an outstanding vibe. We'll absolutely be back.

5+ Star Review for Mercato Italiano…read more From the moment you walk into Mercato Italiano, you know you have found something special. This is not just a café. It is an experience that brings authentic Italian flavor and warmth right into the heart of Naples. Let me start with the espresso. The flavor was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. You can taste the quality in every sip. It had that true Italian profile, bold but never bitter, and it set the tone for everything that followed. Now the food. I ordered a croissant sandwich, and it was nothing short of exceptional. The croissant itself was fresh out of the oven, light, flaky, and buttery in all the right ways. Inside, I had two sunny-side-up eggs cooked just right, paired with prosciutto, bacon, and ham. The combination of flavors was incredible. Every bite gave you a perfect mix of savory, rich, and slightly salty notes, all brought together by that warm, delicate croissant. What really stood out was the presentation. This was not just a sandwich thrown on a plate. It was carefully arranged on a platter, clean, inviting, and done with pride. You can tell they care about every detail. The atmosphere completes the experience. The energy inside is welcoming, relaxed, and full of character. It feels like a place where people come not just to eat, but to slow down, connect, and enjoy the moment. Whether you are stopping in for a quick espresso or sitting down for a full breakfast, the environment makes you want to stay. The experience was outstanding along with the service that made you feel like Family. If you are anywhere near Naples, this is a must-visit. Mercato Italiano delivers on flavor, presentation, and experience at the highest level. This is easily a 5-plus star spot, and a place I will return to again without hesitation.

A Hidden Gem in Downtown Naples -- Don't Sleep on This Place!…read more I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and the place was buzzing -- the outside patio was at full capacity. I asked for a seat at the bar, and even though space is very limited, the staff went above and beyond to find me one. That kind of effort on a packed afternoon says a lot about this team. The bartender was phenomenal -- attentive, warm, and somehow managed to make every single person at that busy bar feel like they were the only guest in the restaurant. The whole staff carried that same energy. They were also wonderfully descriptive about the daily specials and menu offerings, which made ordering a pleasure rather than a guessing game. I decided to try the crab cake, and I'm so glad I did. I grew up on the East Coast eating crab, and I've had my fair share -- I've long held that Phillips in Maryland made the gold standard. I am happy to report that Captain & Crew has dethroned them in my book. This crab cake was pure lump crab meat, not overpowered by fillers or seasoning. You could actually taste the crab. The accompaniments they served alongside it elevated the whole dish even further. Thoroughly impressed. The wine pairings were equally well-curated. I took the staff's recommendations and they absolutely nailed it. A heads-up for first-timers: parking is the one small challenge. There's no convenient lot right there, so you may need to use a parking garage and walk over. Honestly? Embrace it. If you're already in Downtown Naples, it's a beautiful stroll that perfectly sets the mood before you arrive. Captain & Crew is a true hidden gem. Many people come for the fresh seafood market, but don't overlook the restaurant side -- it's absolutely worth your time. Highly recommend.

The Tiramisu Was Easily the Star of the Show…read more Stopped by on a Saturday and had a nice dinner overall. The atmosphere is cozy with warm lighting, making it a good spot to relax and enjoy a meal. There is also a bar area with TVs, which felt a little different from the typical Italian vibe, but it did not take away from the experience. Service was friendly, but it was a busy Saturday night and you could definitely feel it. Everything moved a bit slower, and we had to wait about 10 to 15 minutes for the check at the end because our server was not around. We started with the meatballs in red sauce and really enjoyed them. Simple, flavorful, and a great appetizer to share. One thing I was not expecting was being charged for the bread. It was fresh and good, but it is not something I usually associate with Italian restaurants. For the main course, we had the cacio e pepe. The flavor was there, but the sauce was a bit too liquid for my preference. It is a difficult dish to get right, and while it was good, I think it could have been a little better. The tiramisu was absolutely the highlight. The balance between the cream and the ladyfingers was spot on, and it ended up being my favorite thing we ordered. Overall, good location, nice atmosphere, and solid food. The tiramisu is the one thing I would absolutely come back for.

She didn't offer drink refills, didn't check in on us, and basically just plopped the food down and walked away. My pizza was not cooked thoroughly and tasted like dough. I asked to have it put back in the wood-fired oven, and while it came back with a crispier crust, the actual pizza still tasted undercooked and doughy. The lobster ravioli was also disappointing and felt misleading. Every lobster ravioli I've ordered elsewhere has usually been stuffed with lobster or at least had a decent amount inside. This was basically cheese ravioli with very little lobster sprinkled throughout. Definitely not worth it, and the cheese itself tasted off. Overall, there are much better options in Naples. For a ravolli, a salad, and a drink, the total was around $80, which is ridiculous for food this subpar. Do your research before coming here.

A Fantastic First Visit - Happy Hour Done Right!…read more I stumbled upon Lola 41 in Old Downtown Naples for their happy hour, which kicks off daily at 3:30 PM. I arrived a bit early - around 3:10 - and by 3:25 a small crowd had already started to gather, which tells you something about how popular this place is. Despite a little drizzle, people were eager to get in, and I quickly understood why. This was my first visit to Lola 41, and I was immediately struck by the space. The ambiance when you walk in is absolutely fabulous - beautifully designed and full of energy. The doors opened right at 3:31, and the bar filled up fast. As it turned out, they were celebrating their 2-year anniversary, which I had no idea about, but the buzz in the room made it feel like a special occasion. The bartending staff handled the rush with impressive efficiency - drinks were coming out quickly even as the place packed in. I thoroughly enjoyed my cocktail, and it delivered exactly what I was hoping for. I also ordered off the happy hour menu, and while there was a small mix-up with my food (completely understandable given the volume and the anniversary excitement), the staff was absolutely wonderful about it. They accommodated my request to have my order packed to go without any hesitation - and I have to say, once I got back to my hotel and dug in, I was not disappointed at all. For anyone visiting the Naples area, I highly recommend making Lola 41 a stop, even if just for happy hour. Grab a cocktail, try an appetizer, and I promise it will leave you wanting to come back for a full dinner. This one has earned a regular spot on my list, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!
