We always loved the informal yet the classic red and white checkered table cloth vibe of this restaurant. However, today was a disappointment both in service and food. Other than when we placed our order, and got our check, we didn't see our waitress. I know it was a busy Friday night, but I would expect at least 1 checkup of how we were doing or if we needed anything. Since there other staff available, I was able to ask the bus boy to get additional lemon or red pepper flakes for my meal. We usually order the pastas. Today we decided to get a pizza (Diavolo) and chicken piccata. The pizza was just Ok ( we have had better at other places) and the chicken piccata was dry (so I asked for lemon). We were disappointed in our meal. However, looking around other tables, some of the entrees looked amazing. There was pasta being made inside a cheese wheel. Looked great. Don't know if I will be back anytime soon. But if we do, we will order the pastas instead.

Once in a while I am pleasantly surprised by food that I'd think it's "run o' the mill". The seafood spaghetti was it. Not just your "drenched in marinara" and "toss in some shrimp" seafood pasta. That sauce was very delicious. The pizza was pretty good (sorry, for me, nothing has topped the mushroom pizza at My Pie in NYC). The table side Tiramisu was pretty OK as well. Service was pleasant. Place was quiet, clean and nicely decorated... but, no spoon for my pasta?

Great dining atmosphere right on fifth Avenue. This is an upscale Italian restaurant served at a reasonable price with great hospitality. This place also turns into a nightclub certain nights of the week and always brings great music and vibes. Drinks can be pricey the food between 20 and $40. So within reason for a decent Italian.. as I deal with all new Italian places I go to I ordered the lasagna as you can tell a lot about a place from their lasagna. It was dry with little sauce and was overcooked to where the pasta was hard. I'm sure there other dishes were great, but lasagna definitely was a letdown at the end of our meal. We are offered complementary lemon cello shots. Which was very nice and then asked for a Google review, but I stick with Yelp.:) definitely recommend checking this place out for a place to go out on the town as a nightclub possibly get something different from the lasagna maybe a pizza. Those looked pretty good and cooked perfect perfectly.

Birthday Dinner to Remember at La Trattoria Napoli Celebrated friend Sara P. birthday here and she couldn't have picked a better spot! The atmosphere feels like an authentic Italian escape -- warm lighting, cozy tables, and that welcoming Naples charm. Our server was kind, attentive, and made the night feel genuinely special. I ordered the bruschetta salmon and shared the deluxe pizza, and both were incredible. The salmon was fresh and perfectly seasoned over crisp, flavorful bruschetta, while the pizza came out hot with a perfect crust and just the right balance of toppings. The vibe was full of laughter and energy, and when the staff joined in to wish me a happy birthday, it made the whole night unforgettable. If you're looking for a place in Naples with great food, heartwarming service, and a touch of local Dj mix-- this is it. Can't wait to come back for another slice and that same amazing hospitality

Yesterday, Sept 3rd, was my birthday. Mrs. K wanted to take me out for supper. I came up with La Trattoria as a place I would like to try again. As I mentioned in my previous review, it is like going back to Italy. After this visit, I now have to go back and try two more dishes. The Chicken Parm looked terrific, and their Spaghetti Bolognese is not your typical American red sauce. The bolognese was not soaked in red sauce; it was almost coated. I had the pasta with black pepper and truffles. Prepared table-side. My first and last thought about the dish is how rich the sauce was. I have never encountered a sauce that rich. Very heavy, full of flavor. Visually, the truffles frame the perfect dish.

Had a pizza here (diablo), pasta, salad, and wine (cab). It is a great location, at the tip of 5th ave in Naples. Very crowded and we got a great table on the street and the weather was cooperative. The pizza was VERY salty and hard to each. The salad and pasta were good. Overall, the only interesting thing was the location and the bathroom entrance - see below.

A little bit of Naples, Italy in Naples , Florida! Parking: can be challenging as it is on the Main Street but during the off season it isn't too bad. Drinks: really good selection and really good sangria Food: pretty great. Known for pizza but we didn't have any. The salmon pasta with the Mare sauce was amazing. The chicken parm was just okay. Service: great service from Kevin the waiter Atmosphere/vibe: amazing and appropriate for all ages Age group: all Bathroom: clean! Return: yes!

really enjoyed our experience here, sat outside since it was nice, but beware because the bugs are annoying! our waitress laura was so nice, let me try a few wines before I committed which I really appreciated. Prices are more on the fair side, would def come back! the mussels were SO good

if you want a taste of authentic Italian food, this is the place to be! The servers are incredibly friendly, and the bartenders always know exactly what you're in the mood for.The music and overall vibe are just perfect. No exaggeration -- I find myself wanting to come back here every single time. Honestly, I've become such a regular that I probably need a VIP card by now (haha, just kidding!). I truly and sincerely recommend this spot to everyone!

Delicious food and drinks, a nice heated outdoor seating area (on the sidewalk), and a truffle mushroom risotto that's perfect. Friendly service and seated quickly.

This place is absolutely amazing. At night its always packed! Highly recommend making reservations. Even with reservations we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table to be ready. But it's worth the wait. Inside they have the cutest rustic Italian aesthetic. They also offer some outdoor seating. The bar is popping. It's packed with people, and I can tell why. The music in there is vibing. They were playing some Spanish hits. Our server gave some great recommendations for the night but we opted for pizza. We had seen some pies coming out, and we just had to try it! We had the Margherita pizza which was absolutely delicious. It tastes like a real authentic Margherita pizza from Napoli. The red sauce had an amazing flavor. We also tried the Toscana pizza which was my personal favorite. It was so unique, a white pizza (no red sauce) with truffle ricotta, mozzarella, mortadella, pistachio, and lemon zest! It was an explosion of flavor! The subtle taste of the truffle with the mortadella was amazing. And the lemon zest really gave it such a refreshing brightness. They also offer pasta dishes which looked really good. They had a guy going around with a parmesan wheel making some pasta. I had my eye on him... Definitely making a stop again to try that out! Parking: There is a garage with free parking down the street. Definitely recommend parking there and walking over. Much easier than trying to park on the street. The restaurant is right on the corner of Fifth Ave South so it can be tricky.

The atmosphere is cozy with warm lighting, making it a good spot to relax and enjoy a meal. There is also a bar area with TVs, which felt a little different from the typical Italian vibe, but it did not take away from the experience. Service was friendly, but it was a busy Saturday night and you could definitely feel it. Everything moved a bit slower, and we had to wait about 10 to 15 minutes for the check at the end because our server was not around. We started with the meatballs in red sauce and really enjoyed them. Simple, flavorful, and a great appetizer to share. One thing I was not expecting was being charged for the bread. It was fresh and good, but it is not something I usually associate with Italian restaurants. For the main course, we had the cacio e pepe. The flavor was there, but the sauce was a bit too liquid for my preference. It is a difficult dish to get right, and while it was good, I think it could have been a little better. The tiramisu was absolutely the highlight. The balance between the cream and the ladyfingers was spot on, and it ended up being my favorite thing we ordered. Overall, good location, nice atmosphere, and solid food. The tiramisu is the one thing I would absolutely come back for.

I started with a Caesar salad, which I thought was super pricey, but was very good. I was able to enjoy it before I ordered my entree. I chose the gnocchi and a glass of wine. Unfortunately, that's about where the compliments end. We started with drinks. If you've ever been to college and remember what a cheap, watered-down beer tasted like, that's exactly what my beer reminded me of. My regular Coke was also completely flat, which wasn't exactly a great start to the evening. For an appetizer, we ordered the broccolini and sausage with garlic bread. It was incredibly bland--no salt, very little seasoning, and almost no flavor. We followed that with a Caesar salad, and I'll give credit where it's due: the Caesar was actually pretty good. Easily one of the better parts of the meal. Then came dinner. I ordered the pistachio and sausage pasta, which sounded fantastic on the menu. What arrived was honestly hard to understand. I received about seven noodles that were severely undercooked, sitting in what felt like an entire swimming pool of pesto. There was so much pesto that I'm fairly certain every available basil plant in Collier County was sacrificed for my plate. Somewhere underneath it all was a small dollop of pistachio. The frustrating part is that I can actually see this being a delicious dish if the pasta were cooked properly and the ingredients were balanced. Unfortunately, what I received wasn't close. My wife ordered the beet salad, which arrived essentially "salad-less." She was disappointed as well. We spent approximately $140 for dinner, and at that price point, expectations are understandably higher. Beautiful décor and friendly service can only carry an experience so far when the food and beverages miss this badly. I genuinely wanted to like Casa Cotzelli, especially because the restaurant itself has a great atmosphere and the menu sounds promising.
