Dr. Eric Eichhorn lied to me. He told me United Healthcare would not cover a nuclear stress test…read more(the day I was there for it, much to my surprise), and my next option would be a heart cath procedure. I went along with this, only to discover months later that United DID NOT turn down the nuclear, and in fact, faxed this doctor twice to talk with him on the details of the nuclear test (peer-to-peer) so that they could approve it. Eichhorn's office did not return any call or fax from United regarding this nuclear test----sloppy and not professional. To me, this is insurance fraud, aside from the fact that several members of his office lied to my face as well that the nuclear test was not approved. In the end, it will cost me over $3,000 out of pocket, because of his lie. Oh, and did I mention, nobody from his office will return my calls, or answer my calls? Completely avoiding me because they know what they did. What professional physician operates like this? They also had over 27 days to get the nuclear approved, and waited until 4 days before I came in to have it, to send the request to United healthcare. I was told they were running behind and were understaffed, and even the person that was working there at the time getting the insurance approvals has left. This doctor put me in a very risky procedure, vs. a much less invasive inexpensive one, to line his pockets with money......DO NOT use this physician!!!

I was prescribed medication that was ineffective, and after I reported that it wasn't helping, I still felt my concerns were dismissed rather than investigated further. What frustrated me most was the lack of guidance. When I asked about medications, treatment options, or what he recommended, the response was often, "It's up to you," without much discussion or medical direction. I understand patients should be involved in their care, but I was looking for professional recommendations and felt like I had to do most of the research myself. I also discussed ongoing issues I was experiencing after my medication manufacturer changed. I explained that the medication was no longer working well for me and shared my concerns, but they were largely dismissed. Instead of helping me explore options or discussing possible alternatives, I was left feeling like my concerns weren't taken seriously. Because my mouth issue continued for so long, I eventually sought care on my own from both a dentist and another medical provider. I learned that persistent mouth lesions can sometimes be a sign of a serious condition, including oral cancer, and that they should be evaluated rather than dismissed. Both providers were surprised that my symptoms had continued for so long without additional workup or referral. I am now having to pay additional money out of pocket from another provider and undergo further evaluation, including a biopsy, and I sincerely hope everything turns out not to be worse. Looking back, what concerns me most is that this issue persisted for nearly a year without anyone suggesting I come into the office for a closer examination or referring me to the appropriate specialist. I reached out through email when it had gotten too painful & only then was I referred to a specialist that was not even the correct type of specialist so I had to research myself. When I mentioned on my next visit how I felt dismissed, I was simply told that the issue couldn't be addressed virtually, but no one suggested scheduling an in-person evaluation or be referred to a specialist. Had that happened earlier, I may have gotten answers much sooner. What makes this even more frustrating is that I pay out of pocket for every monthly appointment. I don't expect perfection, but I do expect my concerns to be taken seriously, investigated when appropriate, and for my physician to provide medical guidance rather than leaving me to figure everything out on my own. Every patient deserves to feel heard. Unfortunately, I consistently left appointments feeling dismissed and unsupported. I hope this feedback encourages a more thorough and compassionate approach to patients with ongoing concerns. Also, my 5 minute visits always felt like an inconvenience especially the last visit as he preceded to huff like I was taking up too much of his time.

I noticed a plaque stating the doors may be locked from 12:30 to 1:00, so I waited until 1:00 before returning. When it was still locked at 1:00, the time of my appointment, I knocked to alert staff that I was there. The staff member who opened the door was visibly irritated, pointed to the plaque, and asked if I "had a question" instead of welcoming me or simply saying hello. Her tone and attitude were rude and unprofessional from the start. Once I was inside, another staff member came around the corner and, instead of showing professionalism or trying to diffuse the situation, made a sarcastic comment about the plaque and their lunch hours as she walked away, clearly meant to be rude. If the office is closed until 1:00, then maybe appointments should not be scheduled at that time. It is customary for patients to arrive a few minutes early to check in. Had the first staff member simply opened the door, greeted me, and said "let's get you checked in," the entire situation could have been avoided. Instead, she acted as though I had inconvenienced her by knocking. The echocardiogram technician was not rude, but she was indifferent and impersonal. She seemed rushed and less thorough than other technicians I have experienced. What truly concerned me was that after telling me I would need to undress and put on a gown, she did not leave the room. When she realized I wasn't changing, she asked if I wanted her to leave, but in a way that made it seem unnecessary or inconvenient for her to do so. That should never even be a question. Patient privacy should always be assumed and respected. In my 50 years, I have never had a nurse, doctor, or technician ask that in any medical setting. They always leave the room to provide privacy. It was unprofessional and inappropriate. The room itself also appeared unclean, with a trash can overflowing with used gowns, dirt on the floor, and dirty chairs, which made the environment feel unsanitary. It's a shame when poor staff behavior reflects so poorly on a practice. There are too many options out there to tolerate this level of unprofessionalism.

I have been trying to simply make an appointment and confirm what tests will be done…read more Unfortunately my first visit consisted of waiting almost 2 hours to find out I could not do the required EKG due to some treatment side effects. This time I have been reaching out via their website and telephone for about 10 days and all I can get is odd responses from Rayna. She has advised me that if I don't bring test results, that the doctor has access to, to my appointment then I will have to wait while they access them. I do not understand why they would not pull the actual results and add them to my file. Maybe that is why my last visit was so long? I also cannot get a clear answer on what tests this visit will consist of as Rayna again says none but if they missed the EKG then obviously they will want to do that. Trying to confirm what else and after speaking to her twice it is very clear she does not listen or notate what calls consists of with patients. I have asked that a nurse or someone engaged in patient care calls me back. Fingers crossed after 10 + days someone trained in care returns my call as I liked the doctor but it's like pulling teeth to get info and I am already late for a follow up that never called me to schedule!

When I first called to make an appointment, I was put through a screening process and then sent to "Shannon's" voicemail, which promised a call back within 24 hours to schedule my first appointment. I called three times over two weeks, trying to get an appointment. I was already terrified about what was happening to me. It's demeaning to feel like you have to beg for someone to care. I'm sincerely disappointed because several people referred me to Dr. Trumby and I honestly believed he could help me. Thankfully, I found another hematologist/oncologist whose staff called back within the day, treated me with respect, and made me a priority from day one. They made it clear I deserved the attention and care I needed. Doctors should realize that an unresponsive staff push patients to seek out other places where they feel heard and valued. It is my hope there is someone in management that reads this and is able to fix "the problems" within their house!
