I had played a little bit about 20 years ago, but since then I just taught myself online for a few months, but was basically a beginning. My son, at 7 years old, was obviously a beginner. Kris was willing to work with us on a plan that worked for a 2 person lesson, as they typically do private lessons. He hooked us up with Tony, who we love. Tony is patient, is able to teach to both my level and my son's, and even makes an effort to come up with some exercises we can do together. I highly recommend these guys!

I came in and Ted immediately recognized my voice and my need. He pointed me to one of the cheapest guitars and when I heard the tune of it (compared to my old one) I knew I had to have it! I checked out the soft cases and wasn't really vibing with them and then I turn around and Ted pops out with this feaux alligator skin wrapped hard case, guitar already in it and ready to go. I all but gave up on the thing until my friends told me about Cranky's. For a very reasonable fee, Greg worked on the frets, tremolo, tuning heads, saddles, and gave it a thorough cleaning. She now plays BETTER than in 1995, and I'm happy to report has taken its place as my main axe again! As far as I'm concerned, this is the only place that I will trust with my dearest guitars. I wish I could say that this is a good school, but I can't. The owner was nice when I spoke over…read morethe phone but it's been a nightmare since. I was told to prepay for a months worth of lessons which I had no problem with. However, I was not told that my deposit was month specific. I had a serious medical issue arise and I had to postpone my first lesson. I gave the school over 24 hours of notice and all seemed fine. Unfortunately I was unable to make the following lesson because of the same medical issue​​. When I went to reschedule my first lesson, I was told that I needed to pay for another month's worth of lessons. When I questioned the school, I was told that I had violated my contract and I was to pay for another month if I wanted to continue with lessons. I questioned the school about the contract and stated that I have never signed a contract nor had I agreed to any terms. After being out $160 and being told I needed to pay more I decided to cut my losses. I'm disappointed that a school that seems to have a pretty good reputation would treat a customer this way.
