Not to mention the fact they'll try and charge you as much as they can on top of that. Maintenance requests are a nightmare, I've had techs not solve the problem, proceed to mark the ticket as resolved and leave without a word. The house wasn't fully cleaned upon our move in, cabinets were sticky and had flour inside etc. That's just the beginning of all the things that suck about this company, but plenty to explain the review. I need to go find a lawyer now but let me just end by saying DO. NOT. RENT.

The Condo Management Company of America, has been nothing but troublesome. Both managers I have…read moredealt with, mostly Mike, I'm assuming, i never know who i'm talking with has been rude, uncooperative, to the point of condescending, talking over me on calls, and refusing to address issues. There was one time, my mother repeatedly made complaints about rickety fences years ago, and was blatantly ignored. One time, there was a particularly bad storm, and the fence blew down, and fell on my brother's car and did damages to it, and she called and complained, since they let the fence get to such a state it caused damages to my brother's car. their response? "there was nothing that could have been done, it was an act of god." Another situation, involved one of my neighbors on two different occasions. one involved her having to repeatedly call and complain about the fact she had waterfalls on the front of her house, because the gutters weren't hung right. The manager she'd spoken to, would tell her REPEATEDLY, she just didn't understand how gutters worked, and that when the rain was too heavy, they'd fill up with water and overflow. she had to call and complain MULITPLE TIMES, and was constantly ignored. it wasn't until the condo manamagement company sent someone to look at the gutters on the GARAGES, and my neighbor asked THEM to look at her gutters, that it was affirmed they were NOT hung properly, as she had said, and they scheduled her for a work order to hang the gutters properly. The other instance, was when my neighbor had to fight with the condo management company for NINE YEARS for problems with the roof, that were tired to the fact her condo didn't have a fascia board in place, which was causing damage to the inside of the condo. As far as interactions i've had, i have dealt with trying to call and file complaints with them for over 10 years now, getting harassed by them, blatantly ignored when calling to report issues, for but not limited to, issues of neighbors possessing tiki torches in their patios, rotating cars in guest spots, double parking in front of their garages and alongside garages and in firelanes, allowing children to play in the parking lots/streets, and even mounting of security cameras in their back patios, and fans above the fence line. to my understanding, we are prohibited from having tiki torches, fire pits, or open grills, because of issues fences or fires having been a problem before. ( i was RUDELY told by one of the managers, i was wrong, and that he would not speak to me any further on the issue, despite me sending emails as requested, WITH photographic evidence of them having the torches lit, near fences, and trees in their patio). we are prohibited from double parking, or parking in fire lanes, for obvious reasons of limited space, and accident hazards. I personally had my mother doubleparked a while ago for an hour so she could have lunch, and there would be a letter in the mailbox for us the next day, yet my neighbors continue to do so. children are prohibited from playing in the streets or parking lots, for obvious reasons of child safety and the dangers of playing in traffic, and the fact of the chances of children damaging cars, which mine WAS scratched, but i have no proof. i remember a few years ago when we'd had issues with people breaking into cars and attempting to break into condos, and a neighbor tried to put a security camera up, and was told to take it down. i know we were told we were NOT allowed to have anything mounted to the building, in plain sight above the fencing which we were made to take satellite dishes off buildings, yet my neighbors have a security cam and a fan in their condo patio, above the fence line. If you can help it, do NOT get a property with these people.

Never picked up their phones and would take at least two weeks to respond to emails. As a tenant, we were constantly having to fix things on our own, or wait two weeks or more for someone to come out and fix something as important as a door coming off its hinges! They never collected water bills, so the homeowners were out hundreds of dollars over the past year, and would often not send the owners our rent money until weeks after we had paid Stevens. Find someone else to manage your property.

Unfortunately, my HOA uses Great Lakes Realty for its management services. There are three people I had the displeasure of working with: JoHannah, Dawn, and Jack. When I raised concern over outrageous charges they are billing me, JoHannah hung up on me. My husband previously tried to handle the same issue with the same person, and she was very unhelpful in solving the matter. This same employee exercises no urgency in dealing with the external damage to my home caused by the lawn service hired by my HOA, therefore managed by Great Lakes Realty. In trying to deal with some basic requests regarding my HOA, I had to contact the office numerous times to ensure my needs, like being copied on an email, were adequately fulfilled. I had Dawn, JoHannah's manager I was told, also hang up on me during one of these numerous, unpleasant, and unhelpful phone calls. I was finally able to speak to the president of the company, Jack. He wasn't helpful in taking care of the outrageous charges his company had implemented or seemed to care that his employees were rude. I see where the problem begins. I am appalled at the level of unprofessionalism at Great Lakes Realty. Hopefully I won't have to interact with them again. What a disaster. Avoid housing plans that use Great Lakes Realty to manage their HOA.

worst management company ever dont call back or anything... my tub has been sitting on bricks and…read moreslabs of wood i was promised repairs that havent been done at all all sinks are leaking we cant even wash dishes or brush our teeth... a lot of the repairs i've been requesting have been well over a year... also michael drew left me and my kids without heat for over a week !!! we had no heat for thanksgiving!!! he refused to replace my furnace he instead has hired unlicensed workers to tamper with my furnace claims to fix it they been here for 3 days i was told by the worker they dont wanna spend the money to replace my furnace theyd rather not spend the money instead theyd rather have me and my kids freeze while they receive thousands in rent i requested to speak to the owner several times he avoids giving me that info at all cost... i was offered 3 heaters that is ail for a 5 bed room 3 floor single family house while we had a snow storm!!! they literally harass ppl for ratings because they have horrible reviews... i'm sure michael drew isnt the guys real name... he has refused me contact info for his supervisor and i had to find the owner of my property via google searches and tax information... im beyond tired
