I was in need of legit Legal Representation. My ex was really giving me the business. She became so confident she could end the relationship between my Daughter and I, she conspired with her Dad and claimed allegations of abuse towards my Daughter. She attained a police report, contacted CPS and filed paperwork with the Court to strip me of custody. A little background: I have always been the Petitioner of my custody case, meaning I originally filed paperwork, not only to divorce this woman, but also to ensure and secure a relationship between my Daughter and I in 2017. Clearly I was not hurting my Daughter. Our bond and love is strong and always will be. It is enough to make her Mom jealous because her relationship with her Dad is more business than love. Thick as thieves these two are. Fast talkers and city slickers. They'll sell snow to an Eskimo and heat to the Devil. When I was interviewing Attorney's I had to ask if they ever did business with them because these two are all over the place hustling people. I needed a strong attorney, no non-sense and straight to the point. I needed a Perry Mason to deal with her, Mr. Burger was not going to cut it. My search was for a Kamala Harris type, however, my income said Public Defender. After interviewing two Attorneys, the first did not seem very enthusiastic about anything, and the second would have been perfect, only problem was she insisted she was good enough to handle things remote. For what and whom I was dealing with, I needed a presence and someone visible that my Ex could see and feel some pressure. As good as I am handling myself, I still was not good enough. I needed some serious backup. My job directed me to Estelle and Kennedy. I was connected to Ms. Mona Naqvi. After explaining everything, her feedback showed she sincerely wanted to help. I asked if she could represent me because it is very difficult repeating the same situation over and over to different individuals because this is a very sad situation involving my Daughter. Ms. Mona accepted. Initially, Ms. Mona and I planned on working together on another case I previously established regarding my Ex. The plans quickly changed when I was served paperwork over the weekend, regarding the abuse allegations. I immediately reached out to Ms. Mona. And after discussing things and her getting the approval, I was able to transfer my retainer so she could represent me on the new case that recently developed. At that point, Ms. Mona and her crew were on it! I do not know if she had any other Client cases pending at the time, but she sure made me feel like I was her one and only Client. She's a professional, so I am sure she was multi-tasking. She led and I just followed. Whatever she needed I forwarded to her. I got really fortunate because during that week I was working from home. It just so happened that they were doing some deep cleaning at my office. Ms. Mona and I were pressed for time and it was really a blessing to be able to be home because it would have been impossible to handle court work and work responsibilities while at the office. I had a request for Ms. Mona, that she did not file my Substitution of Attorney with my paperwork. I wanted it to be a surprise when I showed up to the court house. Another reason was because the other party is notorious for continuances, which they would have done if they knew I had an Attorney. I did not want to waste Ms. Mona's time. My request was respected and worked perfectly. Once we connected at the courthouse, it was showtime! Ms. Mona gave off an aura that she was there for me and it was all about me. Realistically, we know it was about my Daughter, but what Ms. Mona showed was important because they needed to see that I am not alone and I can get a strong Woman to fight for my Daughter and I. Fun fact: Ms. Mona actually exposed that my Ex did not have a legit Attorney representing her, the woman was simply a Representative. When I was going to court cases alone, she was masquerading as an Attorney all that time. Ms. Mona is professional, classy, intelligent and bold. You are not going to intimidate her, you will fail trying to fast talk or smooth your way out of any wrong with her. She operates with style and grace but try some shenanigans, which the other party attempted, and she's 0-60 real fast. Ms. Mona was hotter than fish grease when they tried to use my Daughter as a tool to there advantage, and she shut it down, grand opening, grand closing. Definitely let her walk you to your car if you get off work late and it's dark outside. Ms. Mona knows the Law and she also carries her Law Book like a Bible. And you can tell she uses it more than just Sundays. I recommend Estelle and Kennedy and HIGHLY recommend Ms. Mona Naqvi. I would give her 10 stars if I could.

Since my mother is older and sometimes gets overwhelmed or emotional in these types of conversations, I usually step in to support her so she doesn't feel taken advantage of. My plan was to cover the costs and participate in the consultation, as I normally speak with a few attorneys before hiring one. When my mother asked to include me on the call, she was told that I could not be added, and that if I wanted to speak separately it would require a $400 consultation fee. To me, this felt more like a money grab than a reasonable policy, especially since I was the one offering to hire and pay for the attorney. In my experience working with other attorneys, I haven't run into this type of restriction before. I also followed up directly by phone but did not get the clarity I was hoping for. Because of this, I decided not to move forward with the firm. This was just my personal experience, and others may have different ones. For me, it raised concerns about fit and communication style, and I chose to look elsewhere for representation. This might explain their bad reviews.

My grandma originally filed form I-130 for me but there were complications and my case was closed. When my mom remarried, my step dad filed another form I-130 but then withdrew it when they divorced.
