That means that I carry a zero balance and money is automatically transferred from my regular Schwab investment account when money is drawn on the checking account Unfortunately Zelle will not let you pay someone if the account balance is zero. You must first transfer money between your Schwab accounts and then use Zelle. Who wants those extra steps?? Zelle had been convenient. Now I MUST use Schwab. Worst of all is that Schwab doesn't allow transfers on weekends, so there is nothing you can do ....no workaround at all. Try Fidelity or Vanguard. They have probably figured it out. Schwab should have designed a better, workable system!!

I just had the absolute WORST bank visit I've ever had in over 15 years of banking. Having said…read morethat, I have never, ever been treated so poorly as a customer in my entire life. The bank was empty when I arrived with my hyper toddler. After a grueling 15 minutes of waiting while the teller was being chatty with the customer in front of me, I kindly asked them if they could wrap it up. That's when the teller snapped at me, eyes bulging, telling me to be patient and wait my turn. After they finished the transaction they continued to chat and take their time. I had just watched the teller chat it up with the previous customer for 15 minutes with smiles and warmth. When it was my turn, Comlan didn't greet me or make eye contact with me. He was a completely different person all of a sudden. He had a serious edge. He huffed and puffed with a stone face, lips tight, snatching things about during my transaction. The teller got super pissed at the fact that I forgot my new pin # and didn't have an alternative form of ID. After the first identity protection question, I couldn't remember the exact date that I opened the account and that really sent him huffing and eye rolling. *long gap of silence later* * bored toddler throws tantrum * When I broke the silence and asked if there were anymore questions, he threw my license and debit card into the metal holder. He threw his hands up and told me that I was frustrated. Then he told me that he refused to continue with my transaction because he didn't feel "safe." After that he completely ignored me and locked his eyes on the screen, clicking away like I was invisible. I talked to the manager Debbie and she finished the the transaction with ease. She deeply apologized and was understanding. Before I left the teller made two snide remarks, snatched my receipt off the printer and threw it in the metal holder too. The manger was stunned, the look on her face said it all. She nor I could believe he did what he did.
