I understand some users might have different problems and needs than me (hence so many negative reviews), but my experience with them has been nothing but a dream! I wish I could remember the name of the customer service staff who talked to me because they definitely need praise! I was involved in a car accident where an uninsured driver was at fault, and they were able to answer all my questions. The two ladies who talked to me on the phone were so clear and patient. I'm a total dummy about insurance and legalities and its jargons, but they made my life so much easier! In a few hours, I had an appointment with an excellent damage evaluator (which was also a great body shop), and I was put in touch with a rental company. Everything has been a smooth ride. Geico was the worst agents. Mid January a driver without insurance tried to crash into my geico insured car. The other was State Farm. I called State Farm for liability approval and they said GEICO customers arent well represented. One of the agents thought I should leave geico. The geico agents were not supportI've and were rude on the phone. Melissa Cipriano implied that Geico has lackluster customer service then State Farm. I cannot afford State Farm but I'm glad that State Farm agent Melissa knew it was not my fault. read more

Geico SUCKS. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. They backed out from paying for my back window after they told the glass company that they would pay it. The only reason I found out was the glass company contacted me. By this time, it was 4 months later & the bill was past due. I had to BORROW the money to pay the bill. Not a word from Geico. I sent them all of the emails that said they would pay for it but never even heard a word back. I have an excellent driving record: no tickets,no accidents since 1994. The customer service person said my rates would DEFINITELY go up. Why? They paid for NOTHING. I'm in the process of finding a new insurance company. Unfortunately this is going to be a highly negative review. While I haven't had an issue with GEICO, my partner has and I've been watching this unfold. Today we had to pay $450 to reinstate our registration because GEICO failed to tell us they had canceled our insurance - NO NOTICE. (They apologized on the phone, but little good that did given we drove for over a month without knowing this and then had to pay the fine mentioned above). There has been no reason given for the cancellation - we had a very minor fender bender that wasn't even our fault. My girlfriend has been driving since her 20s, is now in her 50s without a single speeding ticket. My girlfriend is Black...is there a racial profiling element here? We can't figure it out. We've moved on to a new insurance company and I will be moving my policy as well. A big warning - before getting into your car, call GEICO to make sure they haven't canceled your insurance with no warning. read more

Lookout GEICO automobile holders in 20906, Geico magically update your policy because I was informed you guys have too many claims. Of course this is the opposite of those that have NO insurance. I recently was in the market to buy auto insurance since I was not happy with my current provider. I generated an online quote and was contacted by Ms JH from this office via email. I did try to reach her on multiple occasions but I was never able to speak with her and nor did I get a call back from her. So I ended up getting my questions answered by the online support team (rather than my local Geico office). So much for support from my local GEICO agent while I was signing up for a new service. Don't have much hope from them now that I am a GEICO customer. This has nothing to do with the insurance coverage provided by GEICO, which BTW, is great and at a much cheaper rate than my (now) previous auto insurance company. read more

I'll qualify this review by saying I haven't had to deal with any claims yet. Patrick just signed me up for auto and renter's insurance based on a quote from Geico's website. He was highly responsive, thorough, and quick. On the phone, he offered higher coverage options to me, but was transparent about their cost and was not pushy when I declined. When I wanted to change the effective date of the policy, he met my request promptly and accurately, and responded to all of my emails within ten minutes. I am impressed. Hopefully I never get to see how the claims process is with Patrick, but if he handles it like he handled signing me up, I am not worried. read more

The worse insurance company I've ever worked with they will gladly take you money but when one of there customers hit you're car try to get ahold of your claims adjuster your assigned to or there supervisor they don't email or return your call when your trying to upload the documents they are requesting from you. All I'm trying to figure out is she can open up the documents the right way and all she needs to do is click on the attachment icon on the email. I've been signed up with Geico for a few weeks now and continued to receive cold calls from this local office following up an online quote I requested much earlier before I signed a policy. A male representative called me again today and I finally picked up to request I be taken off the call list and was immediately HUNG UP ON. I called back and the first lady I spoke with informed me she will take me off the call list but that there was no way to find out who called me. I informed her as this was a local office, it should not be hard to figure out (and also there's a voice prompt that tells me this call may be recorded or monitored!) and asked to be transferred to her manager. Manager (who was not the owner, Patrick) again states that she could not verify who it was but I insisted she went through all her 4 male call representatives. After being on hold she informs me this mans name is Oscar (which she "couldn't" find out before). DO NOT BUY POLICIES FROM HIM. Manager told me she will "speak with him" but I received no other words from her (no apologies from him, explanation, etc). read more
