My boyfriend and his family have lived in Tracy for a long time that they didn't know there was a brewery. The brewery opened up 3 years ago and it's hidden in warehouse areas. Morgan Territory is one of my absolute favorite breweries. Every beer they brew is top notch. I tried their new Pulpless Romantic IPA and oh man, this IPA was perfect. I also got the Lock'd Bock'd and Ready to Rock which was delicious. I left with a 4 pack and a growler. I wish I would have gotten the name of the gentleman behind the counter. Worth the detour off highway 205 on your way to or from 5. I was driving through and did a quick yelp search of local breweries in the area and up came Morgan Territory. The brewery is only a mile or so off the freeway, has ample parking, and a good size tap room. I sat up at the bar and had a pleasant experience talking with the bartender. I tried some samples of a few styles and settled on a pint. I loved that they had a Sonoma Pride beer to support fire victims in Sonoma County. The beer was also really good. I enjoyed a pint of the red, which was a little more bold than most red's I've had before. I ordered a crowler of this to go, which is equivalent to two pints to share later with my boyfriend. One of the best craft breweries in the SJV and Northern California! At most brew houses, I usually do not order the sampler - but Morgan Territory doesn't have a sampler large enough for it's awesome selection. I ordered the six sampler and the owner was kind enough to allow me to order a 7th - "Mad Badger Pale Ale". The previous six were in the following order and as pictured: California Cream Ale Bees Better Have My Honey Up In The Air No Regrets Grinding Stone Oatmeal Stout Marauder Scotch Ale Seriously, I cannot tell you a favorite out of all seven! The decor is cool, they have games and even "beer and paint" nights! Plus you can bring in outside food. I highly recommend Blaze Pizza's BBQ pizza or a Squeeze In burger - both have locations in Tracy. I read the online article in 209 magazine about this place and despite what the owner was told about SJV residents not being "sophisticated enough" to sustain a craft brewery in Tracy, I'm glad he had faith in us enough anyway. read more

Favorites include the Mad Badger and No Regerts. Probably had something to do with triple digit heat and riding for 2 hours on the Triumph. Went there to try the watermelon beer but they were already out. So we tried a couple others recommended by the tender as the choices on the board did not explain the ingredients or flavor. Would have stayed longer as we were looking for a brewery that also served food. Overall the beer was good. We love these guys. My husband and I just had a party here. Not only were they super easy to work with, they delivered our kegs to our wedding reception the following day. So, we had one less problem to worry about. Not only does this brewery get extra points for how cool the interior looks, Michael, the owner, would randomly pop into our party and offer our guests samples of beer. Went here a little over a year ago for my first time and have been meaning to write this review ever since. Everybody inside was really friendly and the beers I tried were delicious! The ambience and decor are OK, nothing special. They did not serve food but you are welcome to bring food in, which is nice. They have an assortment of board games and cards you are welcome to use. I felt like the prices could've been a little better, I think if they were I may have became a regular. I understand it's a tough market and I am just ecstatic that this brewery is here in Tracy! Went late afternoon Sunday it was beyond packed hidden lil gem middle of industrial area. Hella pizza pie was there and live music. Beer selection is good variety we had the beer flights that was fun good presentation too. Nice bar, friendly staff we waited awhile for beers. But overall I understand slow service it was packed. Good vibe. Had a fun afternoon there I look forward to checking it out again. They have games to play, sports on tv and live music. Very casual atmosphere you can bring dogs on patio big plus!! Here's what I had: Sonoma Pride Nut Brown - Pretty good, true to style. Worth trying, but wish it was more memorable. Motorboatin' IPA - Very strong on aroma hops, but strange cream ale finish. Actually nice, a good change of pace. Grinding Stone Oatmeal Stout - A nice balance: roasty, smoky; has a weird but good oyster flavor happening in the finish. I like it. Dark Reckoning Baltic Porter - Absolutely amazing. An incredible beer. Rich, thick, deep roast + incredible sugar/alcohol balance. Drink now, but not more than one! Singlehandedly raises the review. Highlander Maurauder Bourbon Barrel Scotch Ale- Definitely tasting the bourbon, and I wish it was a little thicker on mouthfeel to be a scotch ale. Dangerously drinkable. Old Diablo Barleywine - Brown Sugar Nose. Brown Sugar finish. Meh. No Regerts Pale Ale - I am so confused by the name because...it's just all kinds of awful. Tastes like Lone Star + Corona + Bass. We stopped in late afternoon to get some fresh air and cure the hang overs. Three of us ordered the lager "Share & Enjoy Galaxy lager" & my bf ordered a Hazy IPA. The lager was light a crisp. I am not a huge fan of beer but this beer was perfect for my taste buds. The place was full and lively. There was no food truck this day but most people brought their own food. The staff was very friendly and we quickly got our beers and sat down at a table to play a game from a huge selection they had. It's a perfect spot for groups or even as a two some. Was looking for some place different to stop in Tracy and found MTB in the warehouse area off MacArthur. Nice tasting area and great beer. Tasted the Motorboating IPA and the double IPA Hoptomic. Preferred the Hoptomic but they only served it in a short 10oz glass (even tho it only had 1.3% alcohol at 8.5%. So, I went w/Motorboating i stead and it was fine. No problem bringing in a sandwich from Togo's. Really quiet on an early Sun afternoon. Perfect 4 the GF and me. read more

Yay for Tracy getting their first brewery!! This is definitely what this little town needs! The tasting room isn't big which is OK for now while the rest of the town figures out this place is here. I'm sure once people find this place it will be too small of a space. The beers are actually pretty good. Try a flight so you can get a tasting of almost all of their offerings. My favorite was the Scotch ale, my husband liked the double ipa. Cant think of anything negative about this brewery so the get a strong 5 star rating from me! read more

Tracy has a brewery tap room! Found this place on Yelp, so we had to give it a try since we visit family in Tracy for most holidays. It is located in a warehouse/industrial business area like other tap rooms I've been to. However, inside is probably one of the nicer tap rooms I've seen with several tvs showing the ballgame, new tables, and bar seating, small but comfortable. I met the owner Michael who was very hospitable and checked-in on our table after we ordered. I enjoyed the Motorboatin' IPA and Grinding Stone Oatmeal Stout the most and my mom liked the California Cream Ale. The place is kid-friendly too! So stoked to get a proper taproom in Tracy. I did a flight of 6. I tend to gravitate towards IPAs and the west coast style of beers, but I have to say, I was quite impressed with everything I tasted. The only 2 I didn't have were the oatmeal stout and and the porter... The taproom itself was fantastic. Very rustic with lots of seating and tables. Mike was 'tending' the day I went and he's very friendly and attentive. I will be back with a growler to fill my shit up with some Motorboatin IPA! read more
