Gordie's refuses to rectify the problem and to add insult to injury provided a lengthy fabricated list of unneeded repairs that would add up to thousands of dollars of unnecessary work. Fortunately this senior lady had the wherewithal to refuse additional business with Gordie's and instead took her vehicle to another auto repair shop that took care of her ethically and honestly. Don't go here unless you're prepared to spend a TON of money. They will tell you so much more is wrong than what is and try to get you to do work that is not needed or that you didn't come in for. I brought a beater here to get a rundown on what it needed since it was a project car, I had no intention to fix everything at once. It was also an old Aztec- obviously it'll need a good bit of work. They tried to tell me it needed nearly $4k worth of work to be safe to drive. It needed work but not to that extent whatsoever. I declined and said I wanted to get a second opinion and only pay for the initial inspection since they hadn't started any work yet. They tried to tell me they couldn't give me my car back since it wasn't "safe" to drive it, that I would need to get to work done there or tow it. They think that they can jerk people around cause they're women or because they seem young, try to illegally keep my car. I came in for my keys and suddenly they are fine letting me take it after I ask them if they want the police involved. This is when I realized that they were under new ownership. DO NOT GO HERE!!! Old owners were great but these people are absolutely terrible awful scammers! Go to Alex's Auto down the street instead, they gave me a fat more accurate and affordable estimate and let you have control over what parts you want to replace and when!
