Immediately after the service, my 4-year-old PTAC started making noise and the thermostat stopped working properly. I then hired another company, who found a leak and confirmed the unit was losing freon. When I confronted YuHan, she claimed it was "impossible" their first technician caused the problem and that their company "never makes mistakes." That's hard to believe when they couldn't even clean a filter. She asked me to send pictures and receipts, but it's pointless--she'll just deny responsibility no matter the evidence. She basically said I am lying. I attached a picture, this was AFTER the "cleaning". You can see the line thats leaking. The rep went as far as saying I am taking pictures of a third unit they never serviced, as if I am trying to scam them for a machine that wasn't working. It has been a pretty mild winter but that was scheduled to change and while I could manage - or relocate - my 98 y.o. bed-bound aunt could not. I called our plumber and he was down for count with Covid. He recommended John DeGrace. John was at my house within 30 minutes of my call. He had a crew at my house 8:30 the next morning. Because of some prior bad decisions the job was a lot more complex than just replacing a furnace. The water heater had to be physically moved to allow access and all of the pipes had to be replaced and/or rerouted. It was a two day job but John promised we'd have heat before the cold front and he was true to his word. Not only that but his guys were clean and respectful of our home. They were also very accommodating if we asked them to wait outside while we dressed or cared for my aunt. Never a hesitation to tell us no problem, take your time, let us know when. I recently had my gas water heater replaced through PSE&G and they sent Guarini Plumbing to do the…read morework. I had an overall positive experience and would definitely recommend this company. They showed up on the scheduled date/time and the price I was quoted was what I was charged. They had to replace an additional pipe that connects to the chimney (which cost me an extra $200+) but another company had also informed I would need to do that so I was ok with it. The installation guys were friendly and the work was completed in less than an hour. A few hours later I noticed some dripping from the pipe attached to the relief valve which stopped on its own. The next morning I noticed some additional drips and since I didn't know that was normal I contacted Guarini and they scheduled someone to come between 1pm and 4pm the same day. At 4:30pm no one had shown up so I called them once again and later the same evening 2 different guys showed up. They checked and stated that things were good. They replaced the pipe with a longer one pointing directly in the drain pain (which should have been done initially. The old pipe was short and was dripping outside the pan). Since then things have been ok, I've been monitoring daily and I don't see additional dripping. In summary, there are some things that can be improved but overall I was happy with the work.
