Based on BK Piping and Heating's reviews, reasonable price, and my understanding of his expertise (not just plumbing but working with heating and pipes) I decided to go with this service. He only has 16 reviews so i'm offering a detailed one. I live in an apartment near Prospect Park and noticed that the wash draining out of the washing machine backed up as it began to drain into the wall. Pipe would need to be snaked. I looked at some youtube videos but since I have a stacked washer and dryer, it would be a tight squeeze and heavy job and I didn't want to damage the heating vent by manhandling it. Extraordinarily expensive and dishonest about scope of work. Made a tile removal and connection job sound extremely complex and tedious. The job ended up taking 40 minutes and he charged $750 and mentioned gas and tolls and a free estimate as the reason (note that this was his second visit for the same leak). When confronted about the price he seemed fine about it so I'm sure he has a lot of 1-time customers or customers that don't understand what a fair hourly rate is for a plumber. Expecting $1000 an hour is insane, I guess plumbers make a million dollars a year now. read more

Bruno gives the impression that he is a professional, he did do a good job at locating the problem and fixing it. It was as it turned out not a leaking pipe, but a bad wax seal under the toilet. My issue with him is that I made the mistake of trusting him. When it came time to pay him his price was $650.00 dollars for what was no more than a hours work. I have since checked with other Yelp listed plumbers and the price quote was a low of $165.00 to a high of $375.00. He apologized and and said "he should have told me his price before he did the work". I am an older person, he is not the first plumber I have used, I have never had a problem like this with a tradesperson before. It was my mistake for not making certain of the price beforehand.
