She loves teaching kids and she is the absolute best in the county at it. My kids tried out a couple of other schools in Bend before we found Eco-Kidz. After the first week we went from 3 days to 5 days a week because they begged me to go every day she was open. There was no complaining in the morning, no reminding them to get into the car... they were READY TO GO! She has an unbelievable set up at her school. Her Angel Bear Yoga and Meditation was amazing because my kids got more focused, calmer and paid attention better at home because of it. (I think this helped them learn much faster.) Even after we moved out to Sisters they begged me to bring them to her school one day a week so they could still enjoy her curriculum, which I did. They get to travel around the world, learn art by creating all sorts of things, science by growing things, mixing things together and tending to animals, take on animal and human characters in colorful, silly costumes, enjoy the specialized play areas, games and then... there is the awesome play yard. This school is SPECIAL. Today, 3 years later, my kids are both ONE YEAR AHEAD in Math and English... and it's all thanks to Eco-Kids. They learned how to LOVE LEARNING here. My kids literally pout about a weekend or a break from school. On vacations they ask if they can go to school. Definitely money well spent setting my kids up for future success.

Enrollment was low and in order for her to get by financially she started her own insurance business. Her focus quickly changed and her presence at the preschool was notably less. Her priorities had changed and I feel the preschool suffered. I was also frustrated that during many conversations with her she would ask me to switch my insurance coverage to her. This was very frustrating as I was focused on my children and thought the preschool would be as well and not so interested in selling insurance to every parent. The level of organization and dedication to the school has declined. I am disappointed in the leadership but was highly supportive of the teacher, Ms. Ann. She is amazing but unfortunately no longer teaches there.

The big attraction is obviously the whitewater rapids, which had some river surfers and kayaks going through. There is plenty of street parking by the park. It's all free. There is also a public bathroom in the park, but I didn't use it so I can't say how clean it is. This is a pretty peaceful and surprisingly clean park. It's definitely worth a trip if you're looking for a chill and peaceful way to spend some time.
