    I called Jolene at 2pm on the day of my November evening event. It was super cold out and I needed…read moreheaters and blankets to make an important meeting comfortable. I deal with a lot of vendors and I knew my same-day request (on a Saturday no less) would probably be met with cranky "not possible in the timeline" responses. Instead, I met Jolene on the other end of the phone. What a warm and positive person! She immediately took on my problems with grace and alacrity. She not only solved the heaters and blanket asks but also added so many details that I would never have thought of. Baskets to hold the blankets. Blankets tied with twine. Additional black napkins in case someone was wearing a dark outfit. Found local wines and beers. Just extremely thoughtful in everything she did. My event was not big or expensive. I'm from out of town so I'm probably not a repeat client (wish I could be!). And I had a very last minute weekend request. And Jolene pulled through 110%. I would trust her to plan just about anything. You'll be in the best hands.

Not only did she create a STUNNING design board that led all of the creative/design meetings with vendors; But she took a "feeling" that I had of "romantic, moody, fall" and TURNED IT INTO AN ABSOLUTELY STUNNING WEDDING. It was so special to see her ability to hear the vague words and create my perfect vision for my day that all of our guests commented was "so Ashli and Brad." On top of being a design queen, she also wrangled my bridal party and vendors and kept us on track day of (really month of, I did mostly nothing). She even got us caught up timeline-wise when I was about half an hour late to the venue! I cannot recommend Abbey enough. She is an absolute delight.

She was always prompt to reply (even when we were less than prompt) and is an all-around excellent communicator, both via email and over the phone. The month of, Abbey was on top of absolutely everything, including making sure our schedule was in good shape, dealing with vendors, and ensuring we had everything we needed. Her presence removed a considerable amount of stress in an obviously stressful time. The wedding weekend was everything we hoped for and then some, in significant part thanks to Abbey. We couldn't be happier that we hired her!

During the rehearsal, Patricia was so professional and on point with giving clear instructions to our wedding party. We knew we were in good hands and truly felt that Patricia had our backs and cared about us. On our wedding day, she went above and beyond to make sure we had the best day. She was always checking in with us and ran any timeline updates by us. She was also great at being the main point of contact for all our vendors and made sure any problems that came up were brought to her instead of us. We are so beyond grateful to have had Patricia on our special day and cannot imagine it without her. She was exactly what we needed to have the best day ever. We found Milkglass through the Woodlands' all inclusive package and could not have been happier with how everything went. We were an unlucky June 2020 couple and Carly helped us reschedule our wedding and contact vendors to navigate the tough times. We finally had our special day in May 2021 and it was perfection. Carly helped us make decisions about flowers and decor, even meeting us at Event Rents multiple times over the long planning process (2 years with the covid delay!). Planning was really fun with Carly and team - you can tell that they genuinely enjoy what they do and they bring their experience and expertise to help. Everything was gorgeous on the day. I was able to truly relax and enjoy my wedding, while Milkglass took care of everything else. Our guests were certainly in a partying mood after the lockdowns and we started to run out of alcohol during dinner. Carly sent someone to buy more so the party could continue. She also packed up anything we left behind and delivered our decorations and my bouquet to my house the next day. If you're on the fence about a wedding planner or coordinator - DO IT!! This was the single thing that made the most difference on how perfect our day was!

We Carly was our day of planner…read moretechnically speaking, but I can't even imagine what it would be like to have her full services, since it truly felt like she helped us every step of the way as is. Our wedding was 135 people in Granby, CO, and Carly helped make it spectacular. Carly is incredibly knowledgable about the industry and Denver-vendors. She never led us astray with her recommendations, and gave us sound advice regarding selection of vendors based in Denver (vs mountain vendors). When we were looking into a caterer she had never worked with, she made the effort to reach out to several wedding planner friends to check in with them and get their opinions. She also kept us organized and on a timeline, and even reviewed all of our vendor contracts which is above and beyond a typical day-of planner. We communicated with her regularly starting from our engagement 1 1/2 years out from the wedding, and she was always quick to respond to emails and happy to answer any of our questions. This is very different from the policies of many of the other day-of planners we looked into, who really wouldn't get involved until 1-3 months out from the wedding. She also didn't have any rules about not responding to emails on Sundays of after-hours, which I've seen friends run into with their planners. Carly did a lot o behind-the-scenes communication with our vendors, often times without me realizing, which spared us from dealing with lots of logistical questions etc. She even sent an email out the week of our wedding, insisting that vendors use her as a primary point person from then until the wedding, so the we wouldn't be dealing with questions during the pre-wedding festivities. On the day of, she (and her assistant Ceecee!) was critical in doing everything from organizing the ceremony, directing people to where they needed to be, doing my bustle when my mother was occupied with something else, and corralled our guests to the appropriate locations as needed. You can tell that she came from New York since she is so organized, direct and efficient, which is exactly what we were looking for in a planner. I would highly recommend Carly and the MGP crew to anyone!

When my mom and I first met Mila, we liked her. She was nice, professional and put many of our worries immediately at ease. Once we signed our contract and began working with her, there were several red flags. Communication was challenging and her e-mail system was not user-friendly. Phone calls were not returned, one vendor was never even contacted by her during the vendor contact phase. As she was to be our day-of wedding coordinator (not our wedding planner), clear communication was a must. But during our final walk-through, Mila did not take a single note to ensure that our many months of wedding planning would be carried out, the very thing we hired her for. Sadly, this lack of attention to detail became increasingly apparent and it appeared that Mila was in over her head. At our wedding rehearsal, Mila presented herself as rushed -- never introduced herself to our families and bridal party to establish any kind of rapport, immediately questioned our wishes and plans for the processional and ignored requests for clarity. The room was in chaos, everyone overwhelmed and confused. Worst of all were her derogatory remarks directed at members of our family. Thankfully, we had our amazing officiant (Matt Morgan Weddings & Coaching) present who literally took over the entire rehearsal as Mila sat back and watched. We tried to hold ourselves in keep-calm-and-carry-on mode. On our wedding day, Mila placed most of our table and decorative items correctly although several mistakes were made even though specific written instructions were provided and all items were boxed and labeled. Mistakes will always be made, we never expected everything to be perfect. What was hard was that when Mila was asked to make the necessary changes she did so grudgingly. During our grand entrance, to have been facilitated by Mila, things were once again chaos. The children didn't know what was going on which left some in tears. During our reception, Mila made distasteful comments to family and friends. Several items at the end of the night were not packed as agreed upon by Mila and some were left at the hotel with their whereabouts unknown. Although our family was able to retrieve the centerpiece vases and flowers from the trash, some were already thrown away, like our beautiful backdrop flowers, others we discovered the next day. Mila had instructions that my parents would take most, if not all, of the flowers that night for our post-wedding brunch. One glass piece was broken and nobody was told about it although a family member heard and saw it happen. Mila did not dress/present herself in a professional manner at either our rehearsal or on our wedding day despite the setting and formal attire of our guests. It is with great sadness we write a review like this about someone we chose to be a part of one of the most special and happy days of our lives. But we depended heavily on other couples' reviews of vendors and we are contributing our review because we want to help other future newlyweds avoid these same issues. The negative experiences we had with Mila were more than compensated for by all the other amazing vendors we chose, thankfully. We truly hope that deep down Mila knows what she did, how she made people feel, and where she can grow. Lastly, we thank Mila for what she did do well.
