I am just absolutely disgusted with Caulk's Hill Dental. They cancelled an appointment with me…read moretoday because I owe them $94.50. In 2020 I PAID them along with my insurance company almost $4,000. 1/2 of that came out of my pocket directly. The staff is great but that means nothing when you have an operation that sees you only as a balance. I pay my bills but I lost my mother and mother in law who were both ill and required care from me until they passed. Not to mention trying to keep an elderly relative that I have POA safe during these horrible Covid times. I am also a small business consultant so I have been working daily and furiously to assist these businesses and keep them sustainable. As a business consultant this is the most ignorant and counterproductive policy. It makes more sense to collect the $94.50 from me while I'm there spending another $900. A small medical bill did not have my attention and they should have treated me as a patient that has spent thousands of dollars with them since I've been there along with 4 family members. So for $94.50 they've lost thousands of dollars of recurring revenue, the many referrals I sent their way and my ire. I know a lot of people and just line I share good business practices with my clients during business counseling and training. I share bad practices. This will be incorporated into my 2021 curriculum with a big fat don't use them and don't create stupid policies like this. I am disappointed and angry at myself for entrusting me and my family and spending so much money with people that cared so little for and disrespected our well being for $94.50. Today I will pay that balance because I see how important it is to them and I will caution everyone that wants to be treated humanly and as more than an invoice to choose another more deserving dentist office. So I went back a few years ago to get a new retainer since I hadn't worn mine for a few years and they no longer fit and I wanted a touch up on my teeth alignment in a few places. Since I had an agreement for braces with them from 15-20 years ago, my only cost was new retainer. Appointments are free as they were included with initial package. And you might think they'd be annoyed with someone coming back after so long for no cost, but no. The options were laid out up front, were well planned and well executed with absolutely incredible results. She presented me with options - not a mandate. She let me make the decisions about how I wanted to approach the process, but sometimes the teeth were stubborn - not wanting to kove - leaving limited options. She has been attentive and caring even with dental questions that fall outside ortho. And helped us with referrals to other specialists when needed. They took her braces off early to avoid crowding in their office. She wore her retainers religiously &her bottom teeth continued to move. We have been there for almost 6m since they have taken them off& the unhelpful orthodontist refuses to address any issues. They gave my child a retainer with a metal piece that was supposed to push the tooth back out, but unfortunately the piece of metal is cheap and keeps going into the retainer after less then a few hours of wear. She has told them multiple times and the lady just says "its fine" So now another tooth has started moving sideways. I called today to discuss what they were going to do to fix it and the individual on the phone instead of addressing anything to do with her mouth, their care, her moving teeth etc. Proceeds to tell me that my daughter can not come to her appt because she has a medical condition and she can not wear a mask. (which btw she has never worn and can not wear) and there are no laws/mandates in St Charles county that require them. Nor is there a sign or anything on their office requiring it. They just randomly started making a big deal out of it this last appt. (She has went to every visit every month without one and they have never said anything) But now because we have an issue with their care, She cant come without one.
