This practice is exactly what I hoped for: - No gimmicks like offering customers potential awards for a 5-star review. - No tricks like saying they accept insurance, while they are not on that provider's 'preferred' list. - No whacky photographers taking pictures of your teeth just as you show up. - No gimmicky office tours with gifts for nice reviews. - No tricks to make make a person spend more money than they have to. Yes, those things and more happened at another dental practice, so I was hesitant. Bogey Hills Dental was great to me. The Dr. and staff were extremely efficient and made the work seem like they could do it with their eyes closed. It was a real relief to find this practice. Great experience today...Dr. Pollard fixed chipped teeth in an hour without pain! They shave good systems and from what I could tell I think their cleaning was more thorough. If you need any work done in the year other than the cleanings and have a limited dental coverage, I would not recommend them though. They charge insurance an exorbitant amount of money where there is barely any coverage left after the cleanings. Essentially, making you pay out of pocket for any additional work you may need done (depending on your plan). read more

I've been going to them for cleanings for 7 years with no issues but the min. I needed work done it went downhill fast. I had a hairline fracture in a filling that was to be replaced with a crown and a silver filling in the tooth next to it that he wanted to replace. It sounded easy enough. That was March of 2023. it's now November & I'm still dealing with it. If you need a crown or other work done I suggest you go somewhere else. Worst pain I've ever had to deal with. By the time I'm done I'll need two root canals on teeth that had zero pain prior to them being "fixed". Icing on the cake, no one informed me that the work mentioned above maxed out my insurance for the year. So today when I went in for a routine cleaning, which is usually covered, I was told AFTER the apt it needed to be paid out of pocket. Told them to charge me for whatever they thought I owed because I will never be back. read more

I was needing a new dentist since I moved to St. Charles. I solicited from friends dentist in the area. I looked up a few and did some research. After much reading and review, I decided to go with Bogey Hills Dental. Making my appointment was very easy, quick and seemless. Was able to get an appointment within a month. Went to my appointment where I checked in on the computer which was very easy. My appt. Was for 1:00 and I was sitting in the chair right on time, no delays - fantastic!! Dental Hygienist was very kind, made small talk and discussed every thing she was doing or about to do. I loved that. No surprises, right. I needed follow up work - a crown. At that visit they were able to run my insurance give me an itemized cost showing my potion to pay. Even better!. Staff is very kind and helpful. Went back for my first crown visit , was in the chair on time and again, dental hygienist told me everything that was taking place. I asked out of the blue about a lower front tooth that aesthetically did not loom great to me and if Dr. Levin could fix it. DH says yes, Dr. Levine can smooth that tooth out. When she comes in to check you, let's ask her. Dr. Levin checks me over and the DH says, she would like to know if you can smooth out that (as I called it a Unicorn tooth) like even it with the other bottom front teeth. Dr. Levin looks at it, says, sure no problem, we will take of that right now. Absolutely loved that I did not have to come in for another visit to get that tooth taken care of and she promptly make me feel so much better - it genuinely made my heart happy that the tooth I didn't like, gave me my smile back. They are a very professional office, I like that Dr. Levin has an excellent bedside manner and that her staff really respect her because she treats them just like anyone else. I've been to several dentists. Some of them have been good, some bad. Dr. Pollard is the best of them. He wants the best for his patients and does the extra work to get things right. He will get you in the office if you are having a problem no matter how booked his schedule may be. The work on my mouth was immense and waking up pain free is something that I do not take for granted. I can't thank him enough for the work he has done for me. Now to the staff; they are great and all have their strong points. Each one cares about their patients and are extremely nice and helpful. I found Bogey Hills Dental when searching for sedation dentistry. I've struggled with dental anxiety for a long time, leaving years since the last time I saw a dentist. Every staff member I encountered in all 3 separate visits within two weeks' time were very understanding and nonjudgmental while I managed my own internal struggle. I brought noise cancelling headphones to listen to music. They worked around my headphone cord. They even started pantomiming instructions to me knowing I had music in my ears so that I wouldn't have to break my "zen" mode and take off my headphones. My third and final visit this round was for wisdom teeth extraction. I chose a sedation method, and it was handled by staff as if it's perfectly normal and part of routine. Again, I never felt judged or that I was bothering them by having them accommodate my dental anxiety. My recovery seems to be going rather smoothly so far, which likely speaks to Dr. Pollard's skill. !Another important piece worth noting! All 3 of my visits took place as the severity of COVID 19 continues to evolve. All staff members took extreme precautions very seriously, which completely reassured me each time. My last time, I was asked to sign a statement to verify I'm completely educated on the risk of COVID 19 contamination in their office just by walking in the door. It was eye opening to me as a patient which reminded me that Bogey Hills Staff deserves an incredible amount of appreciation for risking their health (and their families' health by association) every day they go to work to help people like me who put myself in the situation to require "essential" medical procedures. I will definitely be a returning patient and will recommend to anyone searching for a referral. read more

On each visit, the staff would be courteous and engage in conversation, and Dr. Pollard would explain the options available in case there was anything wrong. Staff was very courteous and friendly. Dr. Pollard was condescending in how he explained out of pocket costs for deeper cleanings and not taking easy way out. Previous dentist did deep cleanings for a lot less. Telling someone they have jacked up grill but it'll take a ton of money to pay for isn't very helpful at all.
