I love Family Dental! As a matter of fact, my whole family has been coming here and we have never had an experience as the one listed. I'm not saying it didn't happen, because I don't know, but I'm sure they haven't built their business with such treatment. I'm not excited to go to the dentist, but they always take good care of me. My dentist is Dr. Rizzuti and I am lucky my mom found him many years ago. He helps me relax and takes very good care of me, especially when I was going through my broken jaw experience. It was by no means fun, but it was bearable. I've had my fair share of dental experiences since I broke my jaw. I have had 8 or 9 root canals and they all went well and I know everyone has a different response to root canals. My friends face swelled up, but it has never happened to me, I guess I'm lucky in a way. I have had a couple fillings and lots of cleanings. The hygienists can be hit or miss. They have the hardest job, but some are nicer than others is all I'm saying. I guess it's hard to clean teeth and be super gentle especially if you don't come in every 6 months as suggested. It's a bad habit I've gotten into. Since I don't have dental insurance I have to pay upfront or set up a payment plan. If you pay in full you get a 10% discount which is really nice. The ladies at the counter where you pay are so nice and helpful. My mom comes here a lot and the ladies remember me and who my mom is. I haven't gone to the dentist with my mom in I don't know how long, but they always remember. That is a nice touch.

Every appointment I always asked that they did take my insurance and was always told yes and that they will bill me the difference

I originally had a great experience at Confident Smiles and even left a very positive review. The…read morehygienists and clinical staff who worked on our teeth were always kind, patient, and professional, and I still appreciate the care they provided. However, after a few more visits, my experience with the administrative and billing side of the office changed my opinion. My son's temporary crown came off a couple of times, which required repeat visits. Everyone remained friendly, but it was still inconvenient. The bigger issue for me happened during my own appointment. I had already paid my portion in advance, and the remaining balance was supposed to be billed to my insurance. I stopped at the desk just to double-check that I didn't owe anything before leaving, and was told they "never know if or what insurance will pay." That immediately raised questions for me because I've never heard that before, and I've never had issues with my insurance not paying. When I asked for clarification, I was met with rude, dismissive responses and passive remarks that made it sound like my insurance might not cover anything. She acted annoyed that I even asked questions after her comments. When I stepped out of the office I realized I had forgotten something and walked back in to retrieve it, two staff members were visibly laughing, clearly about the situation and my questions. That was extremely unprofessional and honestly hurtful. I left feeling very disrespected. I want to be clear that I'm not taking anything away from the hygienists or dental staff, they were wonderful. But overall, the experience was so disappointing. There are too many dentists out there to tolerate being treated disrespectfully, especially when the questions I asked were legitimate. This whole situation could have been handled in a completely different way, and we all could have gone on with our day feeling professionally satisfied.

The care at Confident Smiles was very thorough, and was very respectful. All staff members,…read moreincluding the office side, were EXTREMELY kind, and I couldn't ask for a nicer appointment time at a dentist. Thank you confident smiles team for such a wonderful experience!
