When I became diabetic, I wrote a cookbook with a rather lengthy introduction. I had them help me design my cookbook cover and while working with Alison, we came up with something unique and interesting. She was very pleasant and professional throughout the process. There was a minor issue once it was printed but working with Alison and Becky, it was resolved to my satisfaction. Let me start by saying I have an addiction to recipes. Just looking at them. It's what I do when I'm stressed, when I'm bored... My laptop bookmarks are stuffed like dolmas with recipe links. So when there was a brochure in our hotel for a place that gave you a free cookbook just for stopping by, I decided it was a necessary stop to make on our trip down I-80. This place is so cool-- it's the store attached to the Morris Press plant, where they print cookbooks compiled by PTO's, churches, sports teams, and cults for organizational fundraisers all over the country. I found one made by a synagogue with a ton of Passover recipes and kugels, and took a free cookbook from Louisiana that had a recipe for barbecued alligator meat." Other highlights included Luetta's personal recipes gathered by her children, and one made by a group in Glenview, IL (so close to Highland Park, my hometown!) So unique, so unusual. What a disappointment in using this company for our school cookbook fundraising effort. We had to pay for extra over ONE HUNDREDS books, not a few, but 100 !!! Then they gauge us on shipping fee and the product came later than what was promised for us to pay over $1300 shipping fee. I would never use this company for any business EVER again. read more

Morris Cookbooks provides so much more than even their wonderful literature says it will! It walks you step by step through the process; whoever answers the phone when you have a question is knowledgeable and/or gives you to the person who can answer the questions, and backs up their product 100%. Yes you need to work within their guidelines, but they are all reasonable and working with them is easier and so much less expensive than trying to publish a cookbook yourself. We spent three years collecting and coordinating our cookbook. We wanted a really finished product that we could be proud of. Morris gave us that end-product. When we ended up making many changes to the proof and thought we would have to scape the whole project due to cost, they encouraged us to move forward and worked with us to let us do what we needed to do at a very reasonable price. When we had problems with a few of the covers, they replaced them immediately. When we needed guidance on various issues, they were there for us. The proof is in the pudding. The complements were are receiving from buyers are fabulous. High end quality. We ordered 500 thinking that we would have them for sale in our congregation for a very long time. This place was such a disappointment. I saw a flyer for this place in our hotel and I thought it would be a worthwhile place to visit. My husband wanted to go to another car museum down the street and I kinda had my fill of cars lately on this vacation already. The flyer stated they had thousands of books to choose from and you got a free book just for visiting. When I drove up I saw it was a huge building so I got excited. However, the only part you get to browse around in is probably as big as my livingroom. There are NOT thousands to choose from, I bet there was maybe only 100 books (if that), and, they are not the well-known popular books I was expecting. They were all small spiral-bound books that were put together by church groups, fund-raiser type, pioneer cooking, etc. The free cookbook you get just for coming in is a thin 12-page booklet with lots of advertising. The main purpose of this place is to publish books for small companies and they also do a lot of school-type books. On the other hand, the saleswoman was really nice. We had a nice conversation, and I did end up buying a small $10 book (which I'll probably never use). Just giving everyone a heads up here on what to expect. read more
