Because as of August 21, 2021 a first offense DUI in California is a misdemeanor typically punished by 3-5 years of probation, $390.00 to $1000.00 in fines plus penalty assessments, DUI school, a 6-month driver's license suspension, and installation of an ignition interlock device. Oh yeah and this little gem per California Vehicle Code 23536(a), endnote 3: The court shall order that any person punished under subdivision (a), who is to be punished by imprisonment in the county jail, be imprisoned on days other than days of regular employment of the person, as determined by the court. So yay!! On days you are not working, you get to spend all your days off in jail. Sweet! Scare tactics, my ass. Sounds to me like Dale knows the law and wants to keep his clients out of jail. Yes, please. So yeah, I will take the "best" in the valley/award-winning litigator every day of the week.
