Free entry. Bathrooms. Small parking lot. Outdoor shower and scuba rinse station. A couple picnic tables. Nice big boardwalk around waters with signage that describes trees nearby. Deep waters with cement docks that have ladders. Some people have placed ladders on trees and hung ropes from the trees for swinging into the deeper waters if you dare. Good place for good swimmers... not much shallow area and clarity may vary based on recent storms or flooding. If you don't have good swimmers bring a life jacket or floaties to make the most of the deeper waters.

Much more clear than Vortex (too much algae in the water there... one person bounces off the bottom and vis goes to shit). Much more forgiving at Morrison. The "wash" station is really nice to rinse gear off afterwards. Can pull the car up to the gazebo and drop gear then park. short walk into the water. Great viz the overwhelming majority of the time. We decided to take an excursion north of the emerald coast and found this charming little lake. It is first come first serve based on the parking situation. We were fortunate to arrive there around noon and allowed in for $4 per car to go into the parking lot and then walked about 200 feet to a small beach with a few benches, a couple of tables on the beach (state park style) and also a covered picnic area. The small beach had a walkway to another area which was the jump in/dive in area of the spring fed lake. The water was cool, but definitely swimmable as there were warm currents mixed with the cold currents from the spring. Reportedly, the water is too cool for alligators which are found more at the mouth of the river feeding this area. We spent around an hour just floating around in the area. Didn't feel cold while in the water (outside temp 84 degrees). People had floaties, tubes, and even paddle boards. There were a few scuba divers as well! Bring your snorkels and other floatation equipment if you want to spend time just floating and looking a the bottom for some interesting scenery under water.

When we went, we did the boat tour as well, it was pretty cheap for an hour tour and we got to experience the beautiful nature and wildlife. Our first stop, of course, was the sinkholes and waterfall. While the waterfall itself felt a little underwhelming considering it's described as the highest waterfall in the state, the experience was still quite serene. Hearing the water drop, feeling the cool breeze from the running water, and simply pausing to take it all in made the stop worthwhile. We were a bit disappointed to find that parts of the trail system were closed off, which limited some of our planned exploration. That said, we kept walking and were able to find other trails to enjoy. We ended up wandering around for about two hours, though we know we didn't get to see everything the park has to offer. One of my favorite unexpected features was the dedicated bat habitat area, which was both interesting and unique. Overall, it's a peaceful park with more to discover than meets the eye, and a nice place to spend a couple of hours exploring nature.

Parking was easy and plentiful. The house is pretty and the trees surrounding it are really cool. You can tour the house but we did not do that since we had little kids with us. There's a small gift shop where the tours start. There's a fountain in front of the house with koi in it but the water was full of algae. It was really hard to see the fish. I felt bad for them. There's a butterfly garden on the side of the house and we did see butterflies, dragonflies, bees and even a little frog. You can walk out on a pier over the water. There are picnic areas there of you would like to bring a lunch. Some of the water areas have warnings about gators and the trails have warnings about bears. Fortunately we did not run into either.

With the birds chirping their morning song and the serene ambiance of walking this paved path amongst the trees, it was easy to displace the reality of being in a decent sized city for a bit. In addition to the walking trail, there is also a children's playground, a pavilion, a few picnic tables, a fitness area, and a decent sized parking lot. I would definitely recommend this pleasant walking trail and with it lit with street lights every few yards, I believe that it is open until ten o'clock at night. Go check it out for yourself, I am confident that you will not be disappointed. Overall, I will give it five stars. It is not a huge area, but Dothan Kiwanis Park and Trail proves that good things can come in small packages.

Slides and climbing walls, seesaws and rocking horse type equipment. Benches for those wishing to take in the beautifully sculpted and landscaped scenery. A place for exercizing and relaxing the mind from everyday stressors. They also have a musical section with several chimes and drums for the youth to enhance their music skills. They make a wonderful tone that permiates throughout the playarea of the park.
