The space is a bit intimidating and with so much going on it seems daunting, but once inside the main sales and service space, the employees are very responsive and helpful. After talking to a cashier we were told to see customers service who would show us their snowblower stock and help with questions and purchases. They didn't have many snow blowers in stock as the season didn't start yet, but they did have one of the ones we were interested in. We worked with Bob and another sales lady (red-head, can't remember name). We came in on a Thursday and purchased the snowblower on the spot and they delivered it first thing that Saturday morning fully assembled giving us a short guideline on how to start it up. Great lumber and supplies, and so easy to get help from the people here, just ask Paige, Steve, Mark, Bob or Clement. I've been buying supplies from Mo Lumber since we bought a house in 1997. While the house was under serious renovation I was in the store so often I learned everyone's name! Basically no turnover here, I still know everyone. Come here for plywood, drywall, molding, dimensional lumber, landscape lumber, PVC pipe, gutters, paint, caulk, nails, screws, nuts, bolts and every possible air gun nail. Also Anderson windows (stock and custom), Marvin windows, a huge selection of doors and many power tools including nail guns. The electric and plumbing sections have shrunk in recent years but there's still a fairly large inventory. And they deliver too, not for free but if you don't have a pickup truck you can still get the stuff you need. Prices are not the lowest but convenience beats price for me here. Mo lumber is really a place for contractors, which explains the store hours (never open late). The best part of shopping here is that it's easy to get help, and the help knows the business. The counter guys have always helped this amateur Tim Taylor and never made me feel like an idiot. I give it five stars because they usually have what I need and always treat me well. I come armed with my list that was made up by hubby and head to the counter to see who needs their laugh of the day. I present my list to the one who needs to be entertained and they take me by the hand and get everything on my list. There is usually one or two times that I need to get hubby on the phone to clarify some specifics about an item. I even get delivered with my items to one of the lovely ladies at the checkout and then sent on my merry way. I've been going here for a while as a contractor and the staff is always willing to help customers find items, they give advice, suggestions, etc. You would think that big-box home department stores offer lower prices but that isn't necessarily the case at Morristown Lumber. A lot of the same materials and products are priced LOWER - something many people don't realize (I was one of those people). Morristown Lumber offers an inventory of only quality products, tools and materials. If you're purchasing building supplies they have really helpful people working in the yard who will help you load your vehicle if you need it.They'll cut lumber for you, bring your large (or small) orders to your vehicle for you, etc. ML is my go-to building materials and supply store as a contractor, and since the parking lot is always full of other contractors' vehicles I'm guessing I'm not the only one. For local homeowners, you won't find a better place to get what you need - especially if you aren't completely sure. I was surprised that they offer a nice selection of hardware, replacement parts, and even custom doors. It just lumber! You Don't need to take the ride all the way to Home Depot - Morristown Lumber is a hardware store, a paint store, and a lumberyard all in one, with a little Tractor Supply thrown in. They have tools too. They helped me purchase exterior doors, moldings, Trex decking, paint and sundries, fasteners, you name it when I bought my house last year. Super friendly, will consider the various solutions with you and help you choose the best right products for your job. read more

Are u kidding? So I was at Home Depot buying wood and I thought to check yelp to maybe find a cheaper or better deal . I saw morristown lumber had 5 stars and was 10 miles away . I decided to give it a try. I got there and the knucklehead that I had just spoken to 10 mins ago on the phone acted like he had zero clue about what I had just asked him prior . And he was rude . Then I went to get the wood pieces I needed and the worker tells me I was better off at Home Depot because the wood is cheaper and morristown lumber charges one dollar per CUT!!!! Home Depot by the way is free. This place is bad news . Thanks for wasting my gas and time. read more

Best lumber yard and hardware store in the area. Sure beats Home Depot and Lowes! Will probably have what you want, and if you can't find it on the shelf they will lead you to it, and if they don't have it they will usually order it for you. I'm a contractor, I do landscaping and decking. I spent 10-20 thousand dollars per year for 15 years at Motown Lumber. It's not a lot to them but it's a lot to me. I was there for some piping to help hold up a fence. I did not need 20 foot pieces, so I cut them in half with a pipe cutter off the shelf. Some idiot tells me "now you have to pay for that cutter". I asked him to identify which one I used and he failed to. He got the manager and they told me to leave the store. I'll never spend another penny there. read more
