I think 5 star reviews on yelp are fake. First time with vector it was WORST experience. Vector…read moreoffice staff were very kind and gave us the best quotes it's just the actual people who stuff that were worst. We have moved multiple times in east cost always use the same mover from NY. This time thought of trying a NJ based mover. Here are the issues 1.Lack of professional behavior. They came inside saw that entryway table had a few bills picked them up asked me which currency it is. 2. One of the kitchen packers opens lid of my spice box (I had leaves and chillies puts his nose in sniffs and asks what is it? 3. Packed every little thing in white wrapper so unpacking was hell. Single stainless steel spoon wrapped in 4 layers of packing . 4. Who does this .packing open can of bleach with groceries. While unpacking I saw white dust thought its paint once I hit end of box it was bleach so ended up throwing everything from that box. Which professional mover does that 5. Random packing. I had very organized closet but they picked random items and packed in diff boxes so i had box with sweaters pillow covers photo frames and belts all from diff parts of closet. LASTLY we were given pricing we paid that by bill and paid $800 extra over that without receipt as they demanded that they packed box. When vector gave me a quote it included 10 medium boxes $20 per box but the guys packed everything with white wrapper in kitten not one but 4 sheets and increased boxes packed to 30 , unethically charging us for small boxes stuffed with white paper. Please note it was a very painful experience and no one deserves this kind of billing or nonsense

BUT... If you hire them, watch how much they wrap everything over and over again. It is to the point of being overkill. adding up the hours. Then when it is all moved in they delay by moving and rearranging your furniture. I never would have imagined it to cost what it did. 4 weeks out and I am still hurting from the cost!!! I chose them because they said they donated furniture. Any of the non profits I checked into only take furniture if it's on the ground level because they use volunteers. I described the furniture in detail over the phone and the gentleman said they go by the truckload and it would be half a truckload for $489.00 so I booked the service. The next day I called their office to ask if this included tax & labor. The woman that I spoke with told me they would give me an exact price the day of the removal and I explained to her that I was having carpet installed the following day therefore that would be too late. She said they would get back to me & no one ever did. I took the chance because I did not have enough time to schedule another company. The day they came to remove the furniture, the young man gave me the price. It was almost double the verbal quote. $952.00 to be exact. There were only two young men handling this removal so it took longer than anticipated. I am not an experienced mover but I would have removed the drawers from the dresser & chest before I carried them down two flight of stairs. My walls have two dings in them & also a piece of woodwork on my staircase is now loose. Bottom line, it cost me almost a grand to donate. They sent me a survey to fill out afterwards and of course I haven't heard from them. On a positive the two young men were very polite.
