I think 5 star reviews on yelp are fake. First time with vector it was WORST experience. Vector office staff were very kind and gave us the best quotes it's just the actual people who stuff that were worst. We have moved multiple times in east cost always use the same mover from NY. This time thought of trying a NJ based mover. Here are the issues 1.Lack of professional behavior. They came inside saw that entryway table had a few bills picked them up asked me which currency it is. 2. One of the kitchen packers opens lid of my spice box (I had leaves and chillies puts his nose in sniffs and asks what is it? 3. Packed every little thing in white wrapper so unpacking was hell. Single stainless steel spoon wrapped in 4 layers of packing . 4. Who does this .packing open can of bleach with groceries. While unpacking I saw white dust thought its paint once I hit end of box it was bleach so ended up throwing everything from that box. Which professional mover does that 5. Random packing. I had very organized closet but they picked random items and packed in diff boxes so i had box with sweaters pillow covers photo frames and belts all from diff parts of closet. LASTLY we were given pricing we paid that by bill and paid $800 extra over that without receipt as they demanded that they packed box. When vector gave me a quote it included 10 medium boxes $20 per box but the guys packed everything with white wrapper in kitten not one but 4 sheets and increased boxes packed to 30 , unethically charging us for small boxes stuffed with white paper. Please note it was a very painful experience and no one deserves this kind of billing or nonsense read more

They packed the truck so well, carried items with care, and put everything in the right place on the destination. They disassembled and reassembled furniture correctly. On-time and ended earlier than estimated. I have moved over 20 times in my life, and I truly never want to move without Vector Moving again. The company was great too! We had heard very good things about Vector before confirming our booking and I'm happy to say they lived up to the hype. Our experience was exceptional. Leading up to the move Karina was in close contact with us every step of the way making sure we had all of the information and help needed to ensure things would run smoothly. Day of, Romy and his team were personable, professional, fast (yet careful) and incredibly accommodating - I'm hopeful we won't be moving again soon, but if we were I would absolutely be requesting Romy and his team again. We had used Vector Movers several times for our own moves and were very happy with their work. However, a recent experience with them has been very disappointing. They moved tenants into our home and damaged the walls. When we sent them several estimates from painters, they refused to pay what the estimates call for and, instead, they offered a paltry payment. After several back and forths about this, we went to small claims court and the judge ruled in our favor. They have not complied with the ruling after several notifications of the ruling. We are very disappointed in the way they are doing business and we will never use them again and will not allow our tenants to use them anymore. Beware: if you are a tenant and Vector causes damage to property you run the risk of being responsible and your security deposity will be at risk. If you are a landlord, we advise you against allowing your tenants to use Vector as their "Certificate of Insurance" does nothing to protect your property against damage. Caveat emptor!!! read more

I have used Vector Movers multiple times and I cannot recommend them enough! I've used them for a move from Highland Park, NJ (2nd floor walkup) to Jersey City (3rd floor walkup), recommended them to my boyfriend and helped him with his move within Jersey City (elevator building to a 3rd floor walkup), and used them for my most recent move earlier this year for a move within Jersey City (3rd floor walkup to an elevator building). Vector Movers are clear in their communication, their estimates are always accurate, and they are super-fast with their work while being careful with all the goods. There was one time where I tried another moving company in hopes of getting cheaper rates and looking back, I regret not using Vector for that move as well as those guys ended up being much slower, ultimately costing me more than if I had booked with Vector. read more

Five reasons you should not hire Vector Movers NJ: They will overcharge you by $700. They're office will call you to tell you they will be 2 hours late and blame it on the weather and traffic at first but then the truth will come out that they were doing another job, which took them hours longer than they estimated. They will ask the you, the customer, to help them do the job a few times. When you tell them the best way to do the job, they will try to do it another way and then end up doing it the way you told them to do it, which was a big waste of time. They will demand a positive Yelp review, saying it will be a big help to them, after you already paid them a $40 per person tip, which should be the only "help" they need from the customer. read more

This was not a good experience, and would not recommend Vector moving to potential customers. I booked Vector for 2 different moves, below is my feedback on both: First Move on 10/5/24: They forgot my 8x10 rug at the first address and asked me to sign the papers to close the contract, and to get the rug to the second location myself. I complained, and eventually they agreed to go back and get the item they missed. Second Move 10/20/24 (booked under my boyfriend's name): This was very, very bad. They say they are known for their speed, but at the cost of quality. There are scratches and scuffs all over my walls in the stairwell in my new place, where they brought the furniture upstairs. 2 of the dents will require spackling and repainting, the rest will require only painting (this is a rental). There is a 1.5" dent in my wood floor on the staircase as well, which is not able to be repaired. We are still finding marks today. The worst part is that they did not finish putting our queen bed frame back together. The vertical slats holding the bed up against the floor were left in a drawer in the bed frame and not attached. We heard a crack when we sat on the bed and it almost broke. We slept on the mattress on the floor that night and will put it back together ourselves. Just a terrible experience, and all we got was a $50 discount. Do not recommend. read more

5th time moving in 5 years, and this has definitely been the worst experience thus far. They will nickel and dime EVERYTHING. The movers will tell you they "aren't allowed to do something" then when you speak with the manager you'll get a "we did more than we were supposed to, what's the problem?" They complained about so many things and then literally did the bare minimum, and left me with so much shit to do/move on my own. The spirit airlines of moving companies, I swear. Would not recommend and will never use them again. $2k + $350 tip just to be left feeling very unsatisfied and unimpressed. Got (most) of my stuff from point a to point b, so I guess if you're into lackluster service and being nickeled and dimed every step of the way, they'll suffice. They did an expert job at wrapping, securing, padding, and moving the items out of old home and into my new one. Gill and his team were great. They got here at 9:30 and were out before 2pm. This was really good time given the amount of furniture and stuff that needed packed. They were very well mannered, respectful during their interactions and in general just got the job done. Moving can be stressful, so I'd definitely recommend these guys for your next move. Also unlike competition, they don't give a ridiculously high quote initially and then begin the negotiation process. We were really nervous about our move but after reading so many positive reviews about Vector Movers, we decided to contact them for a quote. Tanya was my main point of contact and was very helpful. Requesting a quote was very straight forward, including adding your inventory room by room to get an accurate quote. I kept adjusting our inventory as we packed more and more, and at one point, I was nervous that I had underestimated but all my worries were eliminated the day of the move - nothing was questioned, they just focused on moving things that were fully packed or that we deemed were necessary. It didn't hurt that they were very well priced as well. Konstantin and his team were incredibly professional. They were quick, careful, and accommodating - often solving problems in the moment and making it less stressful for us. They finished in exactly the time estimated in their quote and we were so impressed with how they handled all our furniture including taking apart and putting back together a sofa bed. Update: the owner reached out to me giving a thorough explanation and apology. He rectified the situation and I am happy with the outcome. Really great customer service and they definitely value their customers and uphold to their 5star rating. PROS: responsive and stick to their quote. Friendly service. Got the job done in a timely manner. The online portal makes things super easy and convenient. Mike is on top of any questions. CONS: Broke my bed without telling me until after they left and I did my own inspection (See attached photo). They tried to stick it under, thinking I wouldn't notice. This is dishonest. This bed was brand new and one of the reasons I wanted to pay movers, as to not risk breaking it. They are PUSHY with tips (I had googled how much to tip movers, see attached photo). I thought I tipped generously according to what I had researched, tipping them $20 each for less than a 3hour move that was less than a 5mile drive). Also providing lots of water bottles. I was told I did not give enough, I needed to give more. I was told I needed to tip each of them 20% of the bill. I said I can't afford that, and ended up giving them $30 each and he still did not seem happy. I found this quite upsetting and embarrassing, as I thought (according to google), I was already over tipping. Was this because I was a single woman? Would this have been said to a man? Not sure, but I didn't appreciate it. Also, despite asking AFTER the quote, and through email correspondence that they would take the Yelp Promotion, they did not (stating it was already a discounted price, which makes no sense if in email they said they would take it, to just show it to the movers and they will deduct). The process starts with you entering on their website the furniture you wish to have moved to your desired location. Once complete I got a call from Nick who reviewed the inventory list with you to be sure that everything is correct. Vector emails you with an exclusive customer link that has your estimate and also allows you to take photos of your items so that they can get a feel for exactly what is being moved. This is super convenient because during the home buying process you may not be able to take time to meet up with a moving company representative in order to obtain a quote so the online account process and speaking with Nick was ideal for me personally. Nick will even text message you if you have questions and to ensure that you get emails/correspondences. Pedro was the foreman assigned to my project. The crew was on time and courteous. Care was taken during disassembly and packaging my belongs. Although they move quickly, I didnt feel as though it was at the risk of damaging my belongings. Once at the destination Vector re-assembled what was moved and confirmed that the boxes were in the rooms I desired. Vector was recommended to me by a good friend, and she got the recommendation from her friend. Its good to see a "word of mouth" recommendation that was as good as advertised. Pricing was fair. Vector Movers responded immediately with the most reasonable quote compared to the other moving services in the Hoboken area. The price they gave was significantly more affordable than other moving companies in the area. I was booking for 3 weeks out for a June 1st date. Going over my expected move list was easy and they gave me a flat rate based on hours and number of workers. The day of the move was seamless. Bakha and his team arrived promptly and did a quick walkthrough of all the items I had listed on the prior phone call. I had a few extra boxes and a couple extra small items but he was confident they would still likely finish early. They treated my items with care and moved as quickly, efficiently and cautiously as possible. Mattress bag for the bed, cushioned box for the tv and monitors. They were real pros. The move was slated for 3 hours and they finished in 95 minutes and this resulted them in charging me $100 dollars less on the final bill, which essentially went directly into their tip since they made the process so smooth. Can't say enough about these guys. Very professional, respectful, and careful. We moved out of a 3 bedroom 3.5 bathroom townhouse. We had 3 queen/king beds, two sections, bunch of cabinets and stands to move in addition to 30-40 17 gallon bins and some large exercise equipment. I messaged my rough inventory on Yelp and they got back pretty quickly with availability and a quote as well. The quote shows the minimum charge based on an estimate of your goods, then has a per hour charge beyond that. I was hesitant initially, but based on reviews, I went for it, the minimum was low compared to other moving companies. Day of the move!! We planned to pack everything ourselves, but probably only did 80-90%. 5 movers came and they were super efficient! Never saw one slack off or drag the time out. The foreman Alex was very organized and made sure he knew where everything was going to go. They moved everything into the truck along with packing our remaining items in less time than I expected. My move was close, so didn't spend much time on the road. They were very careful with unloading and installing the furniture. Had a great experience using this service. I've moved many times and this was by far the most efficient move. Bakha and his team were on time, prepared and wasted no time. I scheduled for 1pm and they were a few minutes early so they can see what needed to be wrapped up, protected and moved. After that 2 more movers joined him and cleared the whole place in less than 2 hours. They immediately drove to the drop off location and unpacked everything even quicker. Total process probably took 4 hours. We were quoted for 4-5 hours so very happy with the results. Nothing was damaged, everything was well taken care of. They even asked which rooms they wanted everything set up in and reassembled everything that we disassembled to make the move easier. HIGHLY recommend using their services to make your move easier. I've moved 6 times in 7 years and used a different moving company each time. My experiences previously have never been good and I always dreaded moving. From the moment Vector came in, they were thorough and professional. They took care of my furniture so well during the move and even measured out the doorways to strategize how to best move the larger pieces (a couch and a 5x7 foot wardrobe). The wardrobe had not a single scratch and I moved from a 4th floor walk up to a 3rd floor. They did it all in two hours! They were even on time and prepared to direct the traffic as they parked in Hoboken (those who know, know how difficult it is). My move was scheduled for August 30th with two pickup locations and one drop off. Once you are scheduled, they reach you through text and emails stating their arrival and departure down to the minute.
