Sadly... the tornado won. The acrylic removal began normally enough, until the technician started drilling my pinky nail with the enthusiasm of someone trying to dig for buried treasure. The drill got so hot I'm pretty sure I saw my ancestors. I very politely said, "Ow, that hurt." She very politely said, "I'll be gentler." And then she proceeded to drill like she was trying to start a campfire. Next came the shaping. I showed her a picture of what I wanted--simple, (trust see pics) cute, achievable. Twice she filed my nails, twice she asked, "Is this it?" and twice the answer was a solid, heartfelt, absolutely not. I explained it. I even used hand gestures. She looked at me with the calm serenity of someone who had chosen violence and ignoring instructions. But nothing prepared me for the manicure. Or should I say... "manicure." There was no warm bowl of sudsy water. No gentle soak. No heavenly lotion. No cuticle oil. Not even the traditional "let me pretend to massage your hands for five seconds." Instead, she did a quick file, a quick snip, and then asked--completely sincerely-- "Do you want a neck massage?" A neck massage. During a manicure. Ma'am, my hands were going through a crisis. The entire experience cost me $35, which feels appropriate only if the service included a surprise psychological plot twist--and in that case, wow, they delivered. In conclusion, the staff was friendly, but the service was like a comedy sketch no one warned me about. I left with confused nails, confused feelings, and a confused neck that did not, in fact, get a massage. I hope this review helps someone. And I hope someday my pinky nail forgives me.

When I return home over an hour since I had my nails polished the polis rolled off my fingers. Stuck to my socks. I understand being careful with regular nail polish, but you can't even change clothes without destroying your manicure. I wish I could post pictures.

She seemed nice but after I left the salon I was left wondering why she did such a poor job on me, I've seen photos of her work and of the wonderful colors she has done as being the color specialist of the shop. Since December, I've still been a bit disturbed as to why she let me leave the salon with hair that I disliked more than when I came (I actually wish I had my normal hair back, as it was much better before I sat down with her) I had red hair dye all over my forehead.. my ears.. the back of my neck.. my cheeks. I sat in my car and cried like a little girl because why would you do that.... I wished I didn't go in there and just kept my hair how it was. The color itself was not at all what I had wanted, after showing photos, etc. I understand not getting the EXACT shade of course, but this was just incomparable.. after asking how I'd like it styled and saying I would like just a regular blowout, I was disappointed with how she managed to do it.. I've seen blowouts on her portfolio.. I even do my own blowouts.. she could've handed me the styling tools and I could have done it myself if she didn't plan on doing a good job on me.. she left my hair super frizzy, and nowhere near a blowout at all. It was the day before Christmas, even after getting such disappointing service, I still tipped a lot. The only reason I chose this shop is because Tara's family is neighbors with my mother and I wanted to go to a familiar business. I wish the experience could've been better. In the photo, it is my hair just the day before seeing Kaitlyn, and then immediately after. It looks horrible. I only post this review now, because I think about this every day and wonder why she did such a poor job on me ? I am not a resident of the area anymore i live in NC for military and easily could've just waited to go back home after the holidays to get my hair how I wanted it. Her portfolio all had great styles.. that's the only reason I booked with her. But not on me unfortunately.

She was really nice even though I chatted her ear off (I talk a lot when I'm nervous) and the salon overall was really nice too. It was a nice, calm experienced compared to larger salons with 10 hair dryers going at once or places with kids running around everywhere. The prices were also very reasonable. I'll definitely go back.

I got the new vitamin C facial and it felt amazing! Molly, who gave me the facial, was very knowledgeable and my acne actually felt relief after the 50 minutes treatment! My face felt supper refresh! I also got the couple body treatment, which was only $80 more from the couple massage therapy and it was totally worth it as it was 100 minutes! We got to enjoy some foot soak, tea, body scrub and full body massages! Overall, I felt very relax after the treatment! I would definitely come back if I'm in this neck of the wood!
