As my friend said, "Mos Mos is the least least." This was definitely a miss. I got an iced matcha latte and a matcha dark chocolate chip cookie. The drink tasted like milk. No hint of matcha. If someone told me it was milk with green food coloring, then I would believe them. The cookie also did not taste like matcha. I could taste the ingredients (as in flour and baking soda). One of my friends got a regular black coffee, and the other got shots of espresso (doppio) over ice (but the barista barely put any ice.) So my friend had to ask for more ice and the barista asked how much, which I honestly feel is a strange question for a barista to ask. There tends to be a standard for these things. Both of my friends said the beans tasted burnt and not good. Also, both of their pastries were not great either. The lemon poppy was so dry and I don't know what my other friend purchased, but he threw it away after a few bites. I'm not sure if the reasoning behind this place being so terrible is because it was inside of a corporate building and they rush their orders, or if it's because it is a chain (so we found out with all of the locations around the city). Either way, we all decided we would have much rather settled for Starbucks. We were all disappointed because their drinks all sound great, especially since there seems to be a diverse selection of chai and such, but seems like they can't even get the simple drinks right. read more

It's so nice to see that Toronto Downtown Path is getting busy again with people returning to the office. I forgot how much I enjoyed Mos Mos coffee. The coffee here is quite unique as the milk added is steamed and I'll ask for a sprinkle of cinnamon and this is just a coffee and not a latte or cappuccino. Grabbed my fav tiramisu latte but this will be my first and last time ordering from this place. The drink was great: rich and flavorful. However, I was not impressed with one of their staff. I've been ordering from different Mos Mos in the financial district and every single time, the barista would ask me to grab my own lid. Today, I saw the barista pouring with the right hand and the cup on the left, so I slowly reached over to the lids. As soon as I did that, one of the employees started glaring at me, along with some hand gestures. He pointed at the barista, who was about to put the lid on. As soon as I saw it, I apologized for grabbing a lid and he took it away from my hand and continued giving me a WTF attitude. It was way too early in the morning so I couldn't really react. Covid meant I mostly have been getting food delivered, which means not many reviews have been happening on my end. That said, I started working downtown for part of the week recently and the other day I was looking for an afternoon pick-me-up. I don't drink coffee but Mos Mos is quite popular and has a wide variety of chai lattes. As a tea drinker, I was curious. I decided to get both the Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte and the Iced Mango Chai Latte. I ordered them via ritual and the order was ready so quickly. The staff was super nice as well during my brief interaction with them. Both drinks were nice enough. The pumpkin spice surprised me by actually tasting of pumpkin and not just the spices. It actually strongly reminded me of pumpkin pie so if you're into that, it's worth it. The mango wasn't it for me. It was very sweet and clearly used a syrup to make the mango flavour. It wasn't bad but just wasn't the best. I'm told the original chai is best and I for sure will swing by again to check it out. Not to mention the price is reasonable - on par with Starbucks, maybe a bit cheaper and the drinks are fully customizable. read more

Stopped by for an afternoon pick me up and was not disappointed! Located in the Exchange Tower easily accessed in the basement level, part of a food court with plentiful shared seating. Staff was pleasant. Tried a tiramisu latte with half sugar - sweetness was the right amount at half, but wished I tasted more coffee. Perhaps the other traditional coffee drinks taste more like coffee? Also tried a couple of baked goods; there's quite an array and all sounded delicious! The chocolate banana bread was moist and good level of banana flavor. The dark chocolate matcha cookie was also very good, though a bit crumbly. Would definitely come again. read more

Had my first visit to this coffee spot during a chat with my mentor, and instantly fell in love with their diverse offerings. Their Flat White is arguably the best I've tasted in Canada! The Malay White Coffee is also a must-try -- just remember not to have it in the afternoon, unless you're bracing for a long night! Every time I passed by this place there's always a long line up. So when I went during lunch time and saw it was quiet, I decided to buy their Matcha Latte. You grab your desired cup, then place a sticker on the cup of the coffee/latte/milk, etc of your choice and then finally pay at the cashier. I asked them for no sugar/syrup but they said it's mixed with the powder so I settled for 1/2 sweetness. But even with reduced sweetness this is sickeningly sweet and couldn't even drink it. They also added cinnamon powder which makes it even worse. Such a waste of money as I ended up throwing the latte!!! read more

And again!! This is becoming a new norm... This time I decided to venture out of my safety zone (though not too far) and ordered the ceremonial matcha latte with soy milk. As the soy milk is sweetened, I asked them to not add any sugar. It. Was. Fantastic! It's not often I'll venture into the downtown business district or around The Path. Since I'm here and recommended by my favourite person, I gladly ordered myself a small cup of Green Tea Latte. Interestingly, you get to grab your own cup size, pick a sticker label based on the drink you want, and stick it within a circle on the cup. I can't speak to other drinks but their green tea latte is definitely one of the best. It's super smooth and doesn't leave any powdery aftertaste when you savour or get to the end. That happens to me quite a bit with green tea lattes. Totally recommended! Service was pretty sleek and fast. Plus, they added a quick flower design touch to my latte. I use to always pass by this place before work and never understood why there was always a line which now makes sense after trying for the first time a couple months back... Although it is slightly on the pricey side, you're paying for the quality that they use and that's what they are well known for. My order is usually between their flat white or ceremonial matcha latte. I refuse to get these items elsewhere because it's that good! Sometimes the line up at Mos Mos looks daunting but it moves very quickly as their staff knows how to work efficiently in a speedy manner. Like another reviewer, I didn't know that they charge extra when you ask for a different kind of milk. It's pricier than Starbucks - but it's worth the additional money as the quality is superior. I was so excited when I saw this location boarded up with Mos Mos logo back in early March and I'm glad the first day I returned to work, it was also their grand opening day! Mos Mos is a unique coffee place in the path and their first location was inside Commerce Court also in the downtown financial district. They are known for their high quality and very competitively priced coffee. Their system is one of the best I had ever seen, customer picks a size, choose the corresponding sticker for their coffee type with milk sugar preference and they will make your drink in a timely manner with a nice latte art. 5/5 for this fantastic coffee joint!! read more

"I can't believe you go to Forno, I only go to Mos Mos" That is what I hear from tin-foil hat wearers who believe that Mos Mos has superior coffee to Forno. But I am glad that they have different sizes for their coffees and it is better than the other options in the area (incl. Dineen). It is as if I am seen as a lower human for my sub-par coffee choices. In Commerce Court, you too can pay above $3 for a cup of coffee. The dark roast is not as nice as the one from Forno, but the benefit is that you can get it in a size that is larger than an infant's baby bottle. The coffee at Mos Mos is better than the coffee that comes out of the Keurig in my office and the Tassimo at home and far better than the one from the Starbucks or Tim Horton's in Brookfield Place. read more

I was first introduced to Mos Mos at one of their PATH locations. Their Fogcutter coffee blend is to die for! Since I work on University, I would literally get off at King, grab my coffee and get beck on the train and head work. Literally a 15 minute detour just for coffee! Now, there is a new location on Bay (right in front of SickKids Research tower) and I am so grateful!! I can walk there from work! I also love their Chai Latte and Tiramisu Latte. YUM! I'm so glad there is a Mos Mos closer to my office! It is located in the Exchange Tower food court (the one with the Burger King). They have a good sticker system in place to get you from ordering your drink to cashing out, however, when it's busy they will almost always have someone standing by the stickers to help you quickly figure out your drink order. Don't be intimidated by all the stickers! I love that they steam the milk when you order coffee and that their drinks are well-made, easily customized and well-priced. Sometimes there is a line-up but I don't even mind as the line moves so quickly. I love the friendly service here, I've yet to have a bad experience. I've had their baked goods several times and I would say that they are too sweet for my liking, with the exception of the fig pistachio cookie. I went here for the first time when I started my new job in Toronto, and was not sure exactly how the process worked (getting your sticker for which drink you'd like), however, everyone in line seemed to be a seasoned pro!
