He was complaining that my $300 mount was more expensive to remove & install. Then, he couldn't transport it in his van full if stuff. So, my roomate & I had to bring it down on my flat handtruck and put it into my suv. We brought it to the new place and he helped to hold the TV as we wheeled it in. Then he said he couldn't install it on my wall and we had to spend an extra $50 to buy this cheap mount that doesn't move side to side..etc. Then he offered to take my expensive mount & I said No. I only paid him $350 so he would leave. It was terrible. I'm having another company come in to install MY original mantel mount for $150.

I even had to downsize my TV, and despite multiple changes to the original request, UMS was super flexible and accommodating. They came through on time, and knocked the job out in a little over an hour. I opted for conduit vs a recessed cable run, but it looks super clean and professional, as I envisioned. Should I decide to go in-wall in the future, I will definitely call them back to take on the job.

The main TV was going over an original brick fireplace, and I chose a pull-down mount, which requires much more precision and skill than a standard TV mount. I'm the daughter of a long line of carpenters, so I tend to notice how someone approaches their work. From the moment Jay arrived, I could tell he was extremely knowledgeable and skilled. He took the time to prepare properly, worked confidently and carefully, and I could immediately relax knowing that everything was going to be mounted securely and correctly. Watching someone who truly knows what they're doing is such a pleasure. He was also incredibly clean and respectful of my home. His wife worked alongside him throughout the installation, and the two of them were exceptionally efficient without ever making the work feel rushed. He was also wonderfully resourceful. I had planned to purchase a separate bracket for my soundbar, but he found an elegant way to attach it using the existing TV mount, saving me about $90 while actually giving me a cleaner-looking installation. I really appreciated that he wasn't just there to install things -- he was thinking about the best solution for my setup. The entire experience was professional, thoughtful, efficient, and beautifully done. Both TVs look fantastic, everything feels extremely secure, and the work area was left spotless. Highly recommend. I had an old 65", mounted (too high) on the wall. Anthony knew exactly what needed to be done. They took down the old TV, took off the mount, patched up the old inlet of the conduit, made a new inlet, threaded cables through, mounted the TV lower (with my new mounting bracket), and hauled away the old TV. Anthony has done a lot of work in my building before and knew exactly where the studs would be and that there would be a transverse metal bar that wound make threading cables hard if you were to not know it existed. It was no problem for this pro. I would 100% recommend him to anyone who needs TV mounting or home theater wiring. Very glad I went to him instead of Geek Squad!

Everything seemed fine until the day before the appointment, when he suddenly asked me to send $250 via Zelle for materials. I had never met him before and wasn't comfortable prepaying a stranger. I politely offered to meet him at Home Depot and pay for the materials directly, but he declined and canceled the job. If someone cancels a project just because you won't send money in advance, that's a red flag. Be cautious.
