Two years ago I bought a brand new $65,000 truck off of their lot and was rewarded close to $300 in rewards points which I used to place these orders for pick up at the dealership. For the first year of this mess, I went back-and-forth with the dealership and corporate telling me that the parts were at the dealership ready for pickup and when I would go to the dealership to pick them up, they would tell me they were not. Then randomly one day after about a year they just showed up as picked up in their system. Who picked them up? I don't know it wasn't me and can Moses show me any kind of signature or footage or anything to prove it was me or someone else? No they can't. so if you ever need parts for any of your Fords or Lincoln's, you can just show up at their parts department, and they will hand you anything without verification it seems unless this has been employee fraud it's one of the two and both are a horrible look for the dealership if this tells you anything about the type of experience you will have when shopping with them purchase your vehicle anywhere else. read more

I recently took my vehicle in for repairs and had an inspection performed. They located a leaking axle shaft and were able to get the parts quickly. Had the vehicle back the next day. Thank you for making my vehicle safe as I rely heavily on it. Also, on a side note, I apparently left two of my favorite rings in the seat without realizing it. worst car purchase experience with sales and service I've ever had and I've purchased several vehicles. We bought a new Ford Tundra and no one mention the top of the roof was dented in. Then we bought a used Rav 4 and the sales lied and told me he would give me new floor mats if I sealed the deal. I had to call the Sales Manager to get them to honor the deal. We decided to give them one more chance by going to Moses Used Cars-Ford to buy a little used Toyota. Once the purchase was made I could get little or no response from Moses. Next day after the purchase battery was dead and trunk had water in it. Also a couple days later I found out the driver's door leaked and I had a total of 3 leaks. Dealship gave me papers showing that service had checked the battery and Sales guy try to tell me that when they cleaned the car water probably was sprayed in accidently but they would take care of it if it was a leak. At this point I have a car that is sitting in my drive way that I can only drive on day where it doesn't rain or snow. Although they did replace the battery I can't get them to call me back sales or service about the leaks. Also they charged me $10.00 for a lien check. I don't think when you are paying cash for a car that a lien charge is necessary. WE ARE DONE WITH MOSES! additionally I put a bad review on their FB page and a person said that the manager would give me a call. NO call and it's been over a week. My service advisor, Jeannette Tolbert, was very accommodating of this and setting up a prepurchase inspection for me. Once the vehicle arrived from the selling dealer she took various pictures and texted them to me, and gave me a full report of the condition of the car, and also sent me a copy of the key read/CBS so I knew what services were due. Deal transparency could be expanded (emphasis added) Since taking delivery, the service department and the sales staff have been remarkably detached from the customer experience. No response to inquiries. Had to cc the general manager to get response. At this point, I can not recommend this dealership. Service after the sale is abysmal. Purchased a fidelity extended warranty. Traded the car 55 days after purchase on 3/21/19. Sent verification and cancellation on 3/23/19. Have made numerous follow ups to the dealership referencing warranty purchase refund per company guidelines. If I didn't know better, would think the dealership is intentionally delaying. It's now 4/9/19 and still no refund. Message responses are hit and miss. Considering BBB and the State Attorney Generals office. Warranty indicates refunds could take 4-6 weeks. Looks like it's going to take the full allocation. Called fidelity warranty and they cancelled the warranty on 4/10/19. Fidelity also indicated warranty funds are at the dealership not Fidelity. So Moses has had the money all along. Contacted Moses 4/10/19 and it's going to take another "10 days to 2 weeks to get the check because their finance office is backed up" but the check would be at my mail box in that time frame. I replied that I would pick the check up due to the amount. It's 4/17/19 and still no word. A request for the owners (Steve Moses) contact information finally affected the refund. I would have to conclude that this dealership sales manager cares not for customer satisfaction. I recommend a dealership elsewhere that demonstrates repeatedly that customer service and customer retention are a priority. read more

I was more than 400 miles away from home on a long drive from Washington D.C. and the Moses BMW service department team was able to fit me into their busy schedule with no advance appointment. On top of that they offered to take me to any local restaurant or coffee shop with their courtesy shuttle to grab breakfast. My husband and I were driving through the area after a relaxing vacation in OBX, making the long trek home to Wisconsin in our Ford F150. The truck's water pump gave out just outside of St. Albans at 10p. Immediately the next morning we took our truck to the Moses Ford Service Dept and met Service Advisor, Anthony. He was able to get us in, diagnosis the problem accurately, get the part, and have it installed by 3p the same day! The service lounge was clean and well-stocked with snacks and drinks, the shuttle was made available to us if we had a need, and the service advisors make use of text messaging that keeps you updated on the progress of the vehicle. Dealership obviously did NOT want my business, I did a online inquiry about a X3 that was offered online for $42,xxx.00, emailed the dealership, after hearing back from a lady by the name of Paige Asbury, I advsied what I was looking to do, however the next day the price for the SAME vehicle was RAISED to over $53,xxx.00 online. I was advised the $42,xxx price was an "error" however they could let me have the vehicle for $43,xxx, which already made me feel like I was going to experience issues. The sales manager Aaron Casto, who advised of the "pricing error" asked for pictures of my trade in which were sent promptly back to him on Wednesday, I never heard another word from the dealership. I took my business to BMW of Asheville NC who I contacted on Friday, and took delivery on my new car yesterday, 7/23/2022. I purchased 12 new vehicles from Moses Ford since 1994 and still own four of them; 2007 Ford Expedition EL, 2015 Ford F150 Lariat, 2015 Ford Escape Titanium, 2016 Ford Fusion. At 29,000 miles and still under manufacture's warrant I took my 2015 Escape in for brake problem. They claimed the brake failure was due to lack of oil changes and wanted $9600 to replace the engine. Long story short, they caused my warranty to be void because another Ford dealer couldn't fix the problem because Moses filed a false claim. I had the issue repaired by former Ford mechanic that has his own shop for $704. Today he showed me the part that failed (vacuum pump) and it was obvious the part failed and not the engine. The part was bolted to the cam shaft and the bolt broke off in the cam shaft. He drilled it out with special tool and the engine is fine. No metal shavings in the engine and was NEVER out of oil. Moses' mechanic falsified the record and indicated the engine had no oil and that it was full of metal shavings. My engine is fine. Why would a mechanic not fix a vehicle that was covered by manufacture's warranty? He implied I could bring in oil change receipts and it would be covered. I refused to falsify receipts yet now have no warranty due to Moses' false record. I did attempt to contact the owner of Moses Ford, but have not been successful. Moses has great deals on Ford vehicles and top notch sales people, but the service department could stand to have a few classes in customer service. read more

Have had my 2014 BMW X1 Serviced at Moses BMW several times and thought I had very good service each time. If I have questions they have been very forthcoming with the answers. Had to have front brakes done which surprised me cause at last oil change at Moses BMW said I had 9MM on front brakes. They don't check inner brake pads so the sliding pin had froze up was not caught till the inner brake pads was down to 2MM. Now that I know this I will be having inner pads checked to make sure everything is working. read more

He said he would go inside to get some info and be right back. Ten minutes passed while I stood in 20 degree weather waiting on him, and he hadn't returned. I went inside the building to have him check on another car, only to find out that not only had he not checked on the Maxima for me, but he had taken a different customer and left me standing out in the cold, without the decency to let me know he was going to pass me to a different salesperson. Super-fantastic dealership. They stayed an hour beyond their closing time to let us take a test drive and to locate the model that we wanted. They even explained incentives that were getting ready to expire in 4 days and ended up saving us an additional $4700.00. We also worked with their finance manager who was very efficient and quick, and he throughly explained everything. We also purchased a few additional items for the vehicle that day and worked with the parts manager, and he was great to work with too. Took my 2012 Ford Edge to Moses Ford for warranty work on air conditioner fan button on console. Was impressed with the great service I received from everyone at the dealership. The customer service person took the time to understand what the problem was. The mechanic diagnosed the problem in a short time and ordered the part and my car was repaired in no time. It's so great to know that great service is still available . It was all done under warranty. I had my concerns since I had left my car for three days at another dealer (purchased car from). All they did was keep car and charge me 69.00 for an unneeded diagnostic. Told me car was repaired (it wasn't) . And deal with customer service person with an attitude. After having searched numerous dealerships and having done weeks of research I was directed to Moses Ford in St Albans. I had actually test driven the same car prepared for me to look at 2 weeks earlierafter having been contacted by their inside sales consultant and follow-up person, Emily. The car was cleaned, prepped and well presented by my sales associate, Grant, and I was offered to take the vehicle for the day to see how I liked it and if the car met all of my needs (i.e., I was very specific in the model and features I was looking for since I do not purchase or trade vehicles very often). Grant was very polite, sincere and helpful in searching for the car that met my needs (and so happened they had one very similar on their lot). After having spent the day with the car we began the dance of negotiations. We quickly got down to bare bones in numbers and after some haggling and working around my schedule we were able to come to an agreement on the purchase price. It wasn't the price I felt most comfortable with but they (Grant & the Sales Manager) have followed up and offered additional services and items to help ensure my satisfaction and pleasant experience buying from Moses Ford. My experience was very pleasant and they seemed very cordial and polite. Grant was very accommodating and has followed up with me to check on the status and my new ownership experience since purchasing the car. I called to set up an appointment for two recalls that Ford had issued. The first time I called, they told me that Ford had not come up with a remedy for one of the recalls, the throttle control which is a huge deal! I later Googled the exact remedy for the recall which had been issued since 2014. I then call to set up another appointment the next week, after talking to a person at Ford and getting a case number for my recalls, and they said they will order the part for the one recall but it will take anywhere from a week to a month to come in. That was fine, however, that recall wasn't what I needed fixed right away and they told me they wouldn't look at my car until the part came in. They lied multiple times and did not even seemed concerned that my throttle control was not working because of this recall. I even asked the lady what will happen if I break down while driving my car waiting for this part to come in and she said that is unlikely to happen. It happened the next week. I called Midway Ford in Hurricane and he was able to get me in 2 days later and fix the issue. I will never go to Ford Moses again. I set up a Yelp account just so I could write this review because this is one of the worst services I have ever experienced with a car dealership/mechanic. read more

I know I have posted a review related to the purchase of our 2015 MKC. But, now I would like to compliment the wonderful Lincoln service department. The entire service department staff was extremely helpful during our most recent visit to the dealership. We had an unusual problem--the battery in our 2015 MKC died during a cold night, making it impossible for us to get into the car in order to jump the battery. Key fobs and the key pad on the driver's door would not function to unlock the car. We tried the mechanical key hidden in the key fob but the mechanical key cylinder would not turn (apparently frozen due to extreme cold and need for lubricant because it had never before been used). We called Lincoln Roadside assistance, who quickly sent a locksmith to unlock the door, allowing us to get in and open the hood. The locksmith sent by Lincoln was so nice that he also jumped the battery for us, making sure we had the vehicle started before he left. After getting the car started, we took it to the dealership to identify the reason for the battery discharge and possible battery replacement. A blizzard was expected to come that same night and this was our only AWD vehicle. After we informed the service department of our need to have our vehicle fixed promptly (before the snow came), they jumped into action and had it fixed within just a few hours. They identified a software issue causing the battery drain and fixed the issue. They also verified that our battery was functioning normally. One of the more senior mechanics even walked me to another MKC to show me how the mechanical lock on the driver's door should function (if it were not frozen), which was especially helpful in case the situation should occur again. Everyone was very, very helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. We've bought 3 different new cars at this dealership and plan to continue buying and servicing our cars at this exemplary business. read more
