Dr. Hirth seems like a fine physician and a nice man, but his office's communication is terrible and there is zero transparency about financial matters. I got two surprise phone calls demanding money less than 48 hours before a procedure, one of which the office messed up with my insurance company by coding the procedure incorrectly. I'm extremely disappointed and think Dr. Hirth should clean house and hire a whole new staff. read more

Fantastic man who really cares about his patients. Some reviews blame Dr. Hirth because their insurance declined the colonoscopy. I had same issue with United Health Care, but Dr. Hirth and his staff went all out to get UHC to approve. I went to the emergency room. I recommend Dr. Hirth highly. read more

I would not recommend this Dr or his practice to anyone. My husband had to wait 2 hours in the waiting room for a colonoscopy. They gave him a 12pm arrival time which is already ridiculous after you prep for this procedure and then proceeded to make him wait 2 hours to get called in. Let me start with the staff at this office is incredible and the person who worked me up was the sweetest. That being said... Dr. Hirth has the absolute worst bedside manner, he snatched documents out of my hand without asking, didn't ask me to lay down instead harshly directed me, didn't even listen to full breath sounds, was in the room for maybe 3min total. If you're reading this expect to hear from my credit card company as I dispute the charge. From the beginning, I want to make clear that the comments in this review apply only to Dr. Hirth. In my many contacts with his staff, I have found them to be efficient and concerned with my well being. I became a patient of Dr. Hirth late in 2015 when I reported involuntary regurgitation from my throat. One thing I recall telling him was that regurgitated ice cream was still cold. Reviewing my records, I'm shocked at the number of tests I was given that had nothing to do with this. It was only during a remote meeting with one of his staff that the correct diagnosis, achalasia, was given. With that information in hand, I used respected sites on the Internet to confirm that ALL of the symptoms I was experiencing matched up. Yet, over the years, not a single mention of this had come up while the testing went on and on. I have very good insurance and I admit that I was remiss in not challenging what, for example, a liver scan, had to do with my situation. However, if you as a potential patient, either have a significant deductable or are paying out of pocket due diligence is advisable. Another concern with Dr. Hirth may only be applicable during the current pandemic, but it might concern patients even after this is over. On every visit I made to the office during this time, I observed Dr. Hirth wearing a high-tech face mask with a pressurized air supply. I was a bit concerned as most of these type masks protect the user but, as the exhaled air often is ejected without filtering, may provide no protection to those around the wearer. More concerning is the observation that while Dr. Hirth had invested in such a mask for himself, every member of his staff that I saw was wearing a simple cloth mask, not even a K-95 or NK-95 mask. I wonder if this shows a distain for what I see as a caring and hard working staff. read more

My wife went to see this doctor over a month ago at which time he said I'll take good care of you doing an endoscopy and a. Colonoscopy the test was supposed to be Friday the 21 She gets a call halfway through fasting today Saying they don't take her Insurance now and cancel the procedure the night before. we wasted a month with this guy do not go to this doctor. there's a reason he has a 3 Star Rating. I will write the same review on every website that pertains to medicine so everybody can see what kind of an office they run here. They'll cancel a senior citizen the night before her procedure. According to our insurance they never even called for an authorization. They do take this insurance. thy are liars going for the big dollar patients and canceling Seniors. 3 years ago I went to DR HIRTH with acute lower abdominal pains. He ran tests, pushed & prodded, x-rayed, and sent me home with OXY & antibiotics. 2 days later I struggled out of bed and drove myself to the emergency room where I was given a CT scan admitted with acute diverticulitis. They inserted a pik line and antibiotic pump which I had to wear for a month with twice weekly blood tests. After a month the infection did not abate and I was admitted to the hospital for emergency surgery for a 16"bowel resection and possible colostomy bag. I was able to avoid the bag but almost died of sepsis. I was in the hospital one week and HIRTH NEVER SHOWED UP AND I NEVER SAW HIM AGAIN. I needed a professional assessment of my problem, and chose Dr. Hirth from a quick search - Miami was out of the question related to overcrowding and a chronic language barrier, as I only speak English. Dr. Moshe Hirth's staff was competent, happy, attentive, my wait was 5 minutes, and the Dr. was an absolute charm. He was extremely easy to work with, and I look forward to my next visit.
