Seems this company is hit or miss. Unfortunately, our experience is a miss. The fence is okay but the gate that was installed is not secure. We have called multiple times over the last two months to get a response and the only response is, " yeah we'll fix it and it will cost you another $250". Eager to charge you more without even looking at the issue. Obviously customer service is not one of their better points. They're big and pushy on getting the sale, slow on installation, and nonexistent when you have a problem. I would not recommend this company to anyone for anything. The customer service sucks at Mossy Oak Fence. I used them two years ago and I have had ongoing issues from paying for a Cedar fence and they showed up with Pine. I had two sets of gates replaced by them and there are still some major issues. I had them replace three entire panels on one side of my house and another three on the other side and there are still major cracks and faults with the wood. They claimed to use pressure treated wood however the wood immediately changed color instead of gradually, the water did not bead off as they said it would. They refused to come out to look into the ongoing issues Ive been calling, emailing constantly about for two years. There are numerous homes in the fence, the posts had to be replaced once and they need to replace them again due to it being twisted. There are huge gaps in the wood due to extremely poor workmanship. The two sets of gates installed are jagged and not even at the bottom. They used 6feet of wood for the paneling instead of 8 feet so the fence is extremely low towards the back as low as less than three feet tall. There are huge gaps all around the fence at the bottom. They did not use cement to keep the posts steady and the fence moves. They refuse to look at the issues despite being provided the photos repeatedly for two years. Then they pretend not to know who I am and why I am calling each time despite the thousands of dollars I spent upfront to have a beautiful and professionally built fence I'm saddled with what looks like a hundred year old fence instead. Their craftsmanship is poor, their service is extremely poor, their professionalism is poor, their lack of concern and empathy is extremely poor, they lack accountability and I will never use them again and I will never ever recommend them to anyone anywhere period. Shame on Mossy Oak Fence especially the Manager Marlon so fake and so misleading. Good Luck to Mossy Oak because next I'm going to the. Better Business Bureau and getting g a lawyer to handle this fraudulent and cheap looking fence they installed for me. read more

Mossey staff seem to be very customer-focused, and the quality of work was good. My only concern is that the fence build took several weeks longer than what was originally communicated. I would also add that the vendor the company uses to mark the gas and water lines originally did not do the whole property, which led to the workers puncturing a neighbor's gas line that had crossed underground onto my property. I would also add that the company feels fence completion is at the point when the workers are done, not when the city inspects the final product. The reason this is relevant is that they want payment when the workers are done, but with pushback, they were willing to wait till the build was inspected and approved. All that said, I am satisfied with the fence and would recommend Mossy Oak Fence, with those caveats. read more

Mossy Oaks aka Messy Oaks In October 2022, my neighbor hired Mossy Oak Fence to replace a portion of their damaged wood fence. They asked us to contribute 50% of the cost of vinyl fence (seventy-five feet @ $3,494 or $1,747 each). We agreed and requested the vinyl resemble the quality and style as my currently installed product. Returning home that day, I found the completed installation crooked, sloped, large unfilled holes under bottom rails, exposed black utility cables, exposed orange utility cables, cement debris, and both black and green PVC chicken wire. The fence was installed over existing trash that should have been removed. It is a disturbing sight walking into my home and yard seeing this poorly installed mess. By email request, I sent images to Mossy Oak. Their first response was they did not see anything wrong with the fence. Neither Mossy Oak nor my neighbor viewed the fence from my property the day of installation or ever. After two months of multiple communications, the manager came to my home for a site visit. He said, "I can fix the fence, but I'll cost you". Although I've spent $1,747, he wanted another $1,000 for more of his company's poor and sloppy workmanship. The fence is cemented over two live neighborhood utility lines and several pieces of black and green PVC chicken netting (still visible in my yard). There is also random cement debris scattered about. Aside from that, it's not a privacy fence since I can easily see over the fence, into my neighbor's yard, and home. The horizontal rails are crooked or sloped down in an eastward direction. I can see clearly over this six-foot fence. So far, I have spent a small fortune trying to cover the holes and hide the crooked mess. The ultimate resolution is to install the fence to resemble professional work as on their and other fence websites. We paid for a premium fence; we got basic. After asking multiple times, we were not offered a receipt, to sign or view the contract, a copy of the permit or HOA approval, or for input. It does not seem Mossy Oak is in alignment with their mission statement, warranties, or promises. *Side note: Mossy Fence told me "When I move, let the next owners deal with it". read more

Within two weeks of installation, about half of our posts began to crack. I contacted Mossy Oak Fence to inquire as to what they could do to rectify this situation. The response I received was that this is a perfectly normal development, due to the expansion and contraction of the wood. I've had similar wood fences for 30 years and never experienced this problem. I suspect it has more to do with excess stress applied to the posts during construction. It's simply very difficult to believe that half of the posts of all of their customers experience that type of deterioration after less than two weeks out in the weather - if indeed this is perfectly normal. The issues with Mossy began very early on. We were informed that they were very busy and scheduling installs about 18 weeks out. After about 3 months without any follow-up from them I reached out by email asking when they would be able to schedule our installation - no response. Same result for a second email to a different person. I repeatedly tried calling the office, but no one ever picked up. Some calls were transferred, then disconnected. The couple of voice mail messages I was able to leave were never responded to. I finally sent a Fax - which they did respond to. So the bottom line is that their customer communication is awful to non-existent. I would hesitate to recommend them to anyone, for anything. read more

Mossy Oak was among a few places recommended by neighbors in our new neighborhood. The name came up over and over. We contacted a few companies for quotes and Mossy Oak was literally the only company that responded professionally and in a timely manner. The salesperson who came out was very good, he was honest about the options and which one was the best price, best value, etc and gave us a quote on the spot. He was very clear that this quote included all of the permits for the city and that there would be no hidden costs. He also gave us some payment options and was very clear and answered every question we had. The consult never felt rushed, he took his time with us. Once we confirmed we would go with their services and put down the 1/2 payment, they immediately submitted our permit applications and kept us abreast of the status. We set an appointment for a Friday, they called us that morning that there would be running late and would be around at 1:30pm but would definitely finish that day. That was fine, my hubby had more time to clear out some bushes. So, imagine how pleasantly surprised we were when one of the installers was there at 11am to begin. The rest of the crew came in a couple of hours later and the job was done before 6pm. The installation crew came, were very professional, quick and complete sweethearts. Fence is not close to the ground & gates are not flush with fence. I made Mossy Oak come back to lower the gates because my 35 pound Springer Spaniel was at my front door! Dog didn't even have to dig to get through, just pushed the gate and barked to be let in the front door! But even after coming out a 2nd time it's still not done well. We have a pet rabbit that I occasionally let play in the yard but I must put another fence up in front of the gates because they are worthless. If they didn't think they could hang a gate low enough or flush with the fence, they should have said so up front & recommended moving the gate to a location that would do what it's supposed to. Really from the initial meeting to discuss the type of fencing we should purchase to the actual install (which actually had a hiccup but was handled efficiently and professionally) it was a great experience. Communication was constant and timely, install was within the timeframe they projected and the fence looks awesome. I thought - based on their amazing online/website pictures - they were going to be more expensive than other fencing companies BUT I was pleasantly surprised to find they were very competitively priced. I may change my review once the work is actually done. It has been 2 months since I paid a 50% deposit on 100' of fence replacement. They finally called and scheduled for 5/6. I made arrangements to take a day off from work, adjusting my schedule and appointments so I could be here during the install. At the hour they were supposed to show up, I get a call from them saying most of their installation crews have called off and they wanted to reschedule. So I rescheduled for today (5/13), again moving appointments and my work schedule to be off. And of course at 0830, I get a call saying there is a problem with the installation team and will probably not make it today. And if not, they say definitely tomorrow guaranteed. I am out of town tomorrow. I do have cameras surrounding my property as well as many 'before/existing' photos of my property in the event something were to happen or get damaged while I am not here. At $42/ft, I did not expect this kind of poor performance and scheduling. Established an agreement that I would bring cash the following day for some of the fencing that was listed in the ad. Informed Marlon that my wife would be making the hour long drive to the office to pay for the fencing and then I would hire a freight company to pick up the fencing. Upon My wife's arrival, she was informed that the fencing was sold out from under us even though we had an agreement the previous evening. Then they said "well we don't have that particular fence any longer but we do have this other fence for an additional $3,000" so my wife took an entire day off from work and wasted 2 hours of driving and I'm also out $200 non-refundable freight charges. I tried hard to go with Mossy Oak for a fence replacement. They came out as requested for an estimate on a Friday afternoon. I checked the company out on Yelp, checked with my Facebook friends and they seemed like the company to go with, even though their price was higher than the other two estimates. I had two questions for the estimator and was ready to provide my credit card and move forward the following Wednesday. I called for the estimator at 4:10 pm and ended up leaving him a message. I called again on Thursday at 10:49 am, his message said he was out giving estimates. I called the office to see if they could answer my questions and we could move forward, and I was directed back to the estimator, but they said they would send him an email. At 12:30 pm the estimator called, I tried to get to the call, but it had stopped ringing, so I dialed right back. He didn't answer. He did leave a message that said he would be working in the office in the morning and he would call me back then. On Friday, my 3rd day of trying to get two questions answered, I called him back at 9:44 am and it went directly to voicemail. Tried the office again to get an answer, but was directed back to the estimator. He didn't return the call, and at 3:50 pm on day 3 of waiting for an answer (the questions were about post caps and setting fence to grade), I called the office and notified them that I was going with another company for fencing. If you can't even return a message from someone you've given an estimate to, how do you expect to close the business and move to install? Also, if you're going to ignore my calls before we even move forward to a down payment, how will you react at another time when I have a question? This company seems to have a problem with estimators following through, looking at the other comments, which is an impediment to closing business and continuing to be viable in the marketplace. I wish I had known more as I wouldn't have selected them initially, but I trusted my builder and thought they would do a great job. They lack professionalism, expertise, and it required multiple fixes before the final job was completed due to languages barriers from their crew. I wouldn't recommend them due to my experience. Comes now, I wanted to extend my gate and their manager took a few days to reply only to tell me they cannot extend it due to COVID restrictions and supplies, yet they installed the fence initially. I am determined to find a better, more suitable fence company to best meet my needs. I hope they improve in order to sustain customers. My husband and I hired Mossy Oak to install a new fence in our backyard. We conducted a decent amount of research and obtained three different quotes in search of a reputable company in the Orlando area. We heard great things about Mossy Oak from our local news radio station so we decided to stretch our original budget in hopes for a long-term investment that we would get great joy and return from. The quality and look of the fence itself is great but the customer service was a complete disaster. The first week of March Mossy Oak called and told us they would install the fence that Friday, they promised us it was a one-day job since we have an underground pool they did not want to leave open and exposed. The day before the installation we paid someone to come take our existing fence down. The morning of, we got a phone call around 7:45 am, it was Mossy Oak to inform us that they did not have all of the necessary material to do the job. Remember this is THE DAY OF the installation, a date we had marked and planned WEEKS in advance. The workers showed up (late) installed maybe 25% of the fence and left our yard a mess. They had to go get construction fence to put around the pool in hopes that none of the neighborhood children would wondered into it. The next day I had to clean up after them; water bottles all over the yard and pieces of plastic scattered around our pool. To make matters worse, we had to call them everyday to inquire on when they would come back to finish the job. Two weeks went by and 75% of our fence was still incomplete. We have three dogs and an underground pool; this was a huge inconvenience and worry for us. Not only that, but we had to nag the office to try to get updates on the expected date of completion. The workers were so careless. They left rivets, nails and plastic shavings all over our pool deck, driveway and yard. They even used my dog's water bowl to mix concrete! Some of the poles they installed were already scuffed up and damaged. It was clear to see that the installers were subcontractors who also work for the other fence companies in the area. Mossy Oak also makes you sign waivers ahead of time releasing them from any obligated time frame to complete the job, so we were out of luck. I literally lost track of how many times they had to come back to finish this "one day job". By the time they finished more than a month lapsed. We would have much rather used their competition and fully regret our choosing of this company. The time management and follow up were basically non-existent. Our neighbors have asked about our experience and unfortunately we cannot recommend Mossy Oak since our experience was absolutely atrocious. read more

The workmanship and the finish product is top notch, BUT DO NOT PAY OFF UNTIL CODE ENFORCEMENT SIGNS OFF ON THE PERMIT. I am disappointed with the costumer service once they had been paid in full. The County Inspector would not sign off because both gates did not self close and latch (a pool requirement). When we called we did not mention at first that the County Inspector failed the final, and for about 5 minutes of discussion they basically told us "oh well". Not until we told them it failed, they said they would be out. They told us they would be there on Saturday and no one showed until Tuesday (Monday was a holiday). Very disappointing Mossy Oak. I spent approx $5000 for the fence my neighbors didn't have any money at the time so I spent $450 for 2 gates. Fast forward until now I wanted a gate installed on the other side of my house so I can put the garbage recycles behind the gate. I called on Monday to get a quote and I had to call back Wednesday to remind her. I left a message and she called back later the afternoon being very vague and not telling me what the quote was, and that she was going to send me an email. Every time I call my number gets taken and I'm told someone will call me back. I was told twice the VP would be calling me and he has not. My concern is not being addressed. I have my original contract and no where in it does it state you have authorization to run my card without my permission, especially 8 months later and after your lien letter. I work in finance. Yet they called me 5 times in one day after fence was completed to ask for payment...when I told them I gave the check to the installers as they left....I got a ah thanks, why bug me 5 times when they simply could ask installers did you get final payment. they will bug you to death for their money, but dont expect a call from them if you request one. They claim since we were not the original purchaser the warranty is void.
