In the back corner there is an area dedicated to food and pantry items from Oregon called the Farmers Market. Jams, chocolate, hazelnuts, honey and other items stock the shelves. Soon they will be selling local beer, wine and cider. The store is laid out nicely with lots of room to browse. Customer service was great! The woman working there was very enthusiastic about their products telling me about the history, the foundation and future plans. No surprise, I ended up buying a pair of earrings! I swear I could open my own jewelry store! Will definitely visit again while making my rounds in Oak Street.

I was told these were from different geographic regions (NE vs. Central Oregon), yet both batches arrived with identical viscosity, density, and flow patterns. Physically, it is highly improbable for two distinct raw varietals from separate microclimates to exhibit identical physical behavior. Unless the bees from both regions coordinated their production metrics, this uniform thickness strongly points to a shared commercial base syrup. In addition, both shared a medicinal "cough syrup" background flavor and caused an immediate blood sugar spike in a sugar-sensitive family member who routinely consumes genuine raw honey safely. My family eats raw honey straight and unmixed daily - and I have consumed mostly dark crystallized varietals like buckwheat for over 40 years - making us highly attuned to atypical textures and glycemic profiles. I appreciate that the seller promptly accepted a return and processed a full refund, although I covered return shipping. To summarize: a responsive, knowledgeable seller - yet the product didn't meet my criteria for raw unadulterated honey.
