I loved attending mass here, unfortunately alot of amazing priest have left. One of our priest, Father Elias tends to Ask the parishioners questions during mass regarding the readings, gospel or feast days. He expects people to respond to his questions, if nobody is able to answer. He expects everyone to do their homework, so he can quiz you the next day. Personally I appreciate the priest that honor our heavenly Father, Mother and and saints by explaining and sharing their knowledge with us, so we can better understand the word of God through the Gospel and readings. Maybe Father Elias should ask the parishioners if they prefer mass pop quiz's or explaining the gospel and reading in his own words. read more

The Filipino ladies that volunteer to distribute food here are rude as hell. From what I notice, they give people attitude and make mean faces. The foodv that are given here are mostly expired as hell. Those selfish ladies only keep the non-expired food to themselves. I am so glad my neighbors and I stop going here last year. I don't know why those ladies volunteer to distribute food when they are so mean to people. read more

4th stop for Visita Iglesia 2014 (7th and 8th station of the cross recited) The church is huge with magnificent mosaic religious art. Each station of the cross are also done in this mosaic style which makes it distinctive from the other churches. Very enjoyable and pleasing to the eye during our visit. read more

Most Holy Trinity Church is everything a young adult could ever want in a parish: The choir consisted of both young and elderly adults. The music was very contemporary, but kept with the liturgical theme and Catholic tradition. The memorial acclamation was sung is Tagalog. The Amen sung in Spanish. The Lamb of God sung in Vietnamese. The Asian priest's homily beautifully made reference to the gathering song "Let the River Flow", the readings, the Gospel and the lives we are called to as Catholics. Everything he said was relevant to current times and easily understood. The African American female, wearing a bright red had administered Eucharist lovingly with a smile. (It's always been a pet peeve of mine when people don't smile when they give Eucharist - c'mon, you're getting Jesus! I would smile!) Also young children were allowed to walk around throughout the church during mass and no one seemed to mind. One of the coolest things about MHT was the closing announcements when Brother Jim asked the whole congregation "Who's church is this?!" And the congregation responded "OURS!" Brother Jim continued "That's right, this is YOUR church." Wow. I'm definitely all about priests and brothers publicly humbling themselves. I'm coming back here for Sunday mass at 9am or 6pm. Seeing this beautiful blend of cultures all working together in sweet harmony, gave me great hope and peace - something I haven't felt in a long long time. Alright.....straight off....I was a little hesitant walking through the doorway at this old haunt of mine. Since I didn't burst into a ball of flames or reduced to a pillar of salt after passing through the doors.....5 STARS!!!! Normally I wouldn't go all the way back here....man I remember when I was a kid I kind of hated going to church....but of course that was when I didn't know any better. I noticed that the lay out has changed a tad...the benches have been replaced with new individual chairs, large speakers everywhere, fresh paint......same old roses.......and oddly enough everything looks........smaller?? That aside, my presence was requested this time around by my baby cousin (well, she's no baby anymore....but she is in my eyes). She asked me to be there for her......and low and behold I'm her patron......ninong......whatever, you know what I mean. Allegedly I'm supposed to be a beacon of spiritual support during these crazy teenage years that are coming up fast....OMG I'm old, much less spiritual?!?!?!?! I'll show her what not to do! It's Santacruzan today. I'm so glad Father Andrew enlightened people on what Santacruzan truly symbolizes & signifies. It's the "Holy Cross". Wearing elegant gowns & tiaras R just part of it. When Father Andrew noticed the Tiny cross they placed on Mama Mary Somebody object that somebody was holding a big cross during the marching(prusisyon) doesn't count buddy! First Impression: I've been coming here for years! It's one of my routines to come here to pray and enjoy the music. I always join the FilipinoMass at 12:30PM to enjoy some Filipino praise music and surround myself with my kind. The choir here are in sync and harmonizes pretty good. I enjoy seeing the children choir as well, they all look so cute! The pastors here are regulars, I've maybe seen 5 who rotate from time to time and their preaches are useful. Of course everyone will try to take a step back and listen to the lecture and think about if we had ever or will ever do the things they tell us to do but you can help but to deny or go against what they say sometimes. Let's just say we may be Catholics but were not Saints and none of us can or will ever be perfect. Last Impression: Every time I come here I get slapped into reality and helps me become a better person and makes me realize that there is a place where you can feel free for an 1 1/2 and go numb to the negativity that surrounds us everyday. I used to go to this church as a little girl before attending St. Francis of Assisi.. Even with its renovation, I still like St. Francis better. St. Francis is much prettier with the 360 degree view and people you can actually get to know since it's so much smaller. read more

I love this church, I've been going here since I was baptized which was in this church too! I've have met great people here. I have this church uncle there and he's just like another father to me. When he knows I have a bf he comes up to me saying that guy better not break my heart. It's was really sweet of him to say that. The community is amazing here, nothing to hide, everyone listens, and there are no jerks anywhere to be found.. Only one bad thing is the choir, they can't really keep you awake.. I've been going to this church since I was born (yeah, I was baptized here, too). It's very nice. The priests are friendly and they have a lot of activities. Sometimes they have that carnival thing in September (stopped 2010, low economy), which is pretty fun. It's a little dirty and usually crowded on holidays and weekends (on weekdays: not many people). There are many languages (English, Vietnamese, Tagalog, and Spanish), so anyone can go. No air conditioning, no don't go on hot days. :( I like the variety of instruments they use (I remember: guitar, piano, one time they did the drums, violin, etc.). I highly recommend it here, but not for Vietnamese school. It's a rip off. read more

I haven't visited this parish in years, not since my days of volunteering during high school and attending mass on a weekly. I spent days upon days here as a youth. This is a great community parish and it neighbors Overfelt High School and Ocala Middle School. Many cultures come here, predominantly Filipino and Mexican. When you walk in, this parish has a modern feel to it. Inside is large and open spaced. Lots of light and high ceilings. Great memories were had here, but after years of being a faithful parishioner I have since opted for smaller parishes. I love the community feel of this church, but I prefer my neighborhood church over this one. I have been going to this church since the early 1990's when my parents moved down to the ESSJ. Although this church may lack in flare, meaning it may not look as pretty and elegant as most other Catholic churches, it has the BEST parishioners that any church could ask for. This church is one of the most diverse churches that I have ever been to. It has normal English masses, as well as Spanish, Taglog, and Vietnamese masses. It caters to all. I also love the fact that during English masses, the choir sings multi-lingual songs, which really changes mass up. The choirs here are also really great. Each mass has their own choir that brings individual flare to all of the psalms. I personally love the Sunday 6pm Youth Choir. They sing beautifully, and even sometimes have someone playing the guitar, drums, and trumpet! Parking can be a little difficult sometimes, especially if you go to a really big mass like Christmas Eve Mass, Christmas Day, Easter, or Ash Wednesday. But there is overflow parking across the street at the Overfelt Adult Ed Center. I really recommend trying out mass at this church. Everyone is really nice, and you'll enjoy your time here. Big masses like Christmas Eve mass is really great here too because the mass is multi-lingual, which really makes it nice :) read more

I rate 5 stars for the homilies and explanation and emphasis on tights. Just wonder why bells ringers are not ring during the entire mass like in the Gloria, the Liturgy of the Eucharist and preparation of Communion. There are lectors who only stand at the altar but do not announce when to sit or stand and what the parishioners to respond. Some readers shoud realize that they are reading the passages in the Holy Bible and not from a literature of mall store sales promo. We can take the monotones expressless voice but the words overtly read like 'deacons = dickens (or was it chickens)', 'bishops = biships' read more

What can I say? I've been coming here since 1989. I started as part of the first kindergarten class ever for this school and worked my way to graduate 8th grade in 1998. Though we have a million people coming here we are still a close nit community people know eachothers names here. We're not flashy or up on a hill and have millions of dollars to spend on designing a great looking church, but we have the greatest parishioners, ones that speak spanish, tagalog and even vietnamese. They're always having a good time with the youth in the community and they are always laid back there's no stiff boring priests like at every other catholic parish. Their confirmation program is lackluster, there's nothing good, fun, or exciting about it anymore. Take it from me I've been a confirmation leader for 8+ years of my life, till my retirement a couple of years ago. I've seen it at it's PEAK, IT'S BEST, when there were no "clicks" and things of that sort. I've hate what it's become boring and WITHOUT JEST. Confirmation Represents Unity? How does that work, if you tell the previous confirmation coordinator not to show up anymore? Riddle me that. Final points, DO NOT COME HERE FOR CONFIRMATION! Unless you want your child to be corrupted. It's just politics at it's best. But do come here for the masses they are really really good, especially when Father Ted is speaking. Also, don't be afraid to spend a little money to have your child come to school here it'll be worth it the camaraderie and friends he/she makes for the future... shoot, I've known my best friends since I was five (21+ years) you can't beat it. Totally pleased with our experience here. The hubby and I had our daughter baptized here after our horrible experience at OLOP (see previous review). I have been with the Parish for more than 30 years of my life. all my children's have all the sacraments and grandchildren's. As time goes by the new and more togetherness with all the communities are so great, everyone have their own culture ,respect and unite each other. We have all mass celebrations with different language. We are building relationships, volunteering and having fun together. We are life long learners of faith,. We place where people can come for communal prayer and involvement in worship. I love being one of the parishioner and being a leaders of the community. Especially nowadays you learn more about the parish and able to see the larger picture. Hubs' family has been going to MHT for years and so (when we don't make it to our regular mass at St Johns), we try to go with his family to Most Holy Trinity. We normally attend the 6pm mass on Sunday (the youth mass) and I love the choir there. They do a great job of getting the congregation to participate in the mass. The only thing I would like more is if they fixed the sound system a bit because its hard to hear the priests sometime. read more

The priests are nice but some of the Eucharistic ministries are not. One of my kid been serving MHT church for more than a year. Asked one of the lady in a beautiful hat at 9am mass if it's ok to join with them. She said to my kid: " can you not see the board its printed in bold" in a rude way. She added: " maybe you need glasses to see it." And most of the Eucharistic ministries were all laughing for that comments. My kid got upset and was crying the entire mass for embarrassing her in front of the other ministries. read more

I love this church! I have been going to this church for years now and i have fallen in love! The masses are great, the church is clean and really nice looking! Each mass has their own choir and they all sing very nice! Especially Saturday and Sunday Spanish Mass! I am an altar boy at the church and i have been serving for 3 years now and I am really dedicated to what i do! The priests are great and very caring!
