She is gentle, kind, positive, and very effective at what she does. She truly represents the word "healing." However, I felt I needed to share an experience that really affected someone very dear to me, Maria. She suffered a stroke and has very limited movement on her left side. We understand the reality of her condition, and we know that she may never regain 100% of her movement. But we continue with therapy because we have seen small improvements, and most importantly, we continue to have faith and hope. At a recent appointment, Maria saw a different therapist named Lauren. From what Maria shared with me afterward, she was told that if there is no movement, there really isn't much point in continuing. I was not present during the appointment, so I can only speak from what Maria told me and the effect those words had on her. The following day, I found Maria extremely discouraged and in a very depressive mood. It broke my heart because I saw how deeply that conversation affected her, and that discouragement stayed with her throughout the week. I completely understand that therapists have to be realistic with patients and families. But I also believe that when you work with people who are already facing life-changing circumstances, the way something is communicated matters tremendously. There is a difference between giving someone realistic expectations and making them feel as though there is no reason to keep trying. Perhaps certain conversations could be approached more sensitively or discussed with the family first. Sometimes hope is part of healing too. Even if the improvement is small, that hope can be what motivates someone to get up and keep trying another day. I'm sharing this not to attack anyone, but because I would never want another patient to leave therapy feeling defeated or without hope. Healing should care for the person emotionally as well as physically, and I truly hope this experience can be taken as an opportunity for greater compassion and sensitivity.

Parents, do yourself a favor and find another ABA provider…read more Our family made the mistake of believing Fox Therapy Services would partner with us in caring for our two children with autism. Instead, when we raised legitimate concerns about chronic staff absences, inconsistent therapy, and poor communication, they terminated services for both of our children. The owner, Zach, handled the situation with a level of unprofessionalism that shocked us. Rather than listening to a parent's concerns or taking accountability, he became defensive, argumentative, and more interested in protecting his agency than protecting two vulnerable children who depended on medically necessary services. Since speaking publicly about our experience, numerous other parents have reached out to tell me they experienced similar issues with Fox. That was deeply concerning. We have filed complaints with the appropriate oversight agencies because we believe what happened deserves independent review. No parent should ever have to wonder whether advocating for their child will result in losing the very services their child needs.

We had been to many different clinics before we found Fox Therapy due to moving or lack of therapists. We were excited to get started right away and not be placed on a waitlist. (The last clinic we went to had one OT that would split their time between two locations. So there was a long wait-list and limited days for sessions.) It's very rare for Fox Therapy to cancel a session since they almost always have another therapist to cover. We've also never had a bad experience with a therapist and each does a great job connecting with my son. They are great at communicating and send out available sessions everyday for make up sessions or if there's a more convenient time for you. They also offer programs througout the year and constantly ask for feedback from their clients. They are great at listening to the feedback and adapting to their clients needs. I highly recommend giving them a call if you're looking for any of the therapies they offer. (I know they currently offer speech, feeding, vocal and occupational therapy, but I wouldn't be surprised if the list is longer.)

I had severe pain in wrist, golfer's elbow, general arm pain plus back pain and the combo of medical grade laser and shock wave treatments has been been so effective that I actually walked out with no pain multiple times and now can manage the pain. This gem of a place is truly healing and Paul's vast experience unbeatable bordering on wizardry. Plus, the big bonus is its one block from the beach with sea breezes coming into this magic beach shack turned occupational therapy spot. Paul and his whole team are great. Each session leaves me with less pain, a clearer understanding of the root causes, and practical exercises that support continued healing between visits.
