Filthy Room, Pests, and No Basic Standards I stayed at Motel 6 Fontana on 10195 Sierra Ave. from December 21st to the morning of December 22nd and left early because I felt extremely uncomfortable and unsafe in the room (Room 120). The room smelled strongly of urine, dampness, and stale air, possibly coming from the flooring or the bed itself. The bathroom was not properly cleaned--the tub was stained with scum from a previous guest, the sink was clogged and filled with black residue, and there was long blonde hair in the tub and on the toilet. To make matters worse, there were two roaches (that were visible) in the room. I caught and killed one myself. No guest should ever experience that. The bed sheets had brownish stains that resembled blood, which should never make it through a laundering process. As a former housekeeper who has worked in multiple hotels, I know firsthand that even a single hair found by a guest warrants a room change. What I experienced here shows a complete lack of cleaning standards and management oversight. Many people stay in motels right now not for luxury, but for rest, safety, and dignity during hard times. Money is money, regardless of why someone needs a room. Every paying guest deserves a clean, pest-free environment. This property needs serious cleaning, extermination, and honest reviews. The glowing ratings on their website do not reflect reality. I will never stay here again and urge others to proceed with extreme caution. read more

This place was tha bomb. Well, it needed to be. Luxurious? Yes is you are currently on meth. And let me say, you can get all the meth right outside your door. I think they call the service MethDash. Stayed here with a friend last minute. In fact they chose the place which at first I hesitated but then I had to go along; it was our last resort. Oh it was disgusting. First, the white lady at the counter looked liked she was already having a bad day just staring weird for no reason at my friend and I. super uncomfortable. Can't even hand an ID to my hand properly then slams it on the table. The floors of that room were filthy dungeons like they needed to be scrubbed! I don't expect to be perfect especially in a place like this, but the carelessness of the sanitary conditions were poor. The beds are very uncomfortable especially for elderly people. The refrigerator leaked water all over the floor, I called the front desk and all they did was offer me some rags so I could clean it up! Never again!!! read more

A honest review. My house was being remodeled and we needed a place to stay for a couple nights, we have pets so that limited the playing field as to where we could stay soooooo... The room was a decent size clean with tv and ac ,shower was good and in good working order, the staff was friendly and didn't pester you. The problem was the area we encountered drugs,drunks,homeless and prostitution, the next door tenant was loud and annoying ,they have a pool and it was clean and inviting, there's stores and restaurants all with in walking distance but you have to watch out for homeless ppl and the Mexican restaurant next door doesn't speak English So ... Don't ask for any special requests, like a first floor room because when you get here they won't have it. I reserved a Queen sized bed on the first floor. Got a full size on the second floor. Called down to the front desk, told the smirky desk clerk that this is a full size bed but he "assured" me it was a Queen size. This is a new low for a Motel 6. Room 227. Dirty shower. Stains all over the carpet. I was supposed to stay 2 nights. Nope, gonna cancel the second night and go somewhere else, even if I have to pay a little more. Stay somewhere else! I stayed here 2 nights ago for a business meeting conference because the rest were too expensive so I stayed here with a few colleagues. I swear to god this was the worst place I have ever stayed at would NEVER recommend again. There was mold in the shower the room was smelling like if I just came out of a casino with a bunch of cigarettes. My colleague Damien passed out of the smell of cigarettes on the bed and there was bed bugs all over the bed as well. If possible 0 Stars 1 star is exaggerating. read more

It's not safe and it's a dump. Do not ever stay there. I realize the area is bad but a real security guard roaming the grounds might help with that. What that won't help with is the fact that this is by a long shot the most disgusting, unsanitary hotel I have ever been in regardless of what country it's in. The stains in the carpets not only looked bad but were sticky. The stains on the bedspreads we like noting I've seen before. I tossed them on the floor only to find some of the pillows were just as bad. I was by myself and I had a room with two beds and it was all I could do to put together a single sheet and a single pillow out of the four to use. I have stayed in this hotel once a year for the last 4 or 5 years and I have watched it become worse every year and now it's down right scary. VERY disappointed in this place. I stayed in rm 109, next to the housekeeping. HORRIBLE!!! We heard washing and drying all day. There was dust everywhere on the phone, hardboard, and on the TV. We have a cat so we keep a broom with us (because I'm a neat freak and don't like cat hair) and don't walk in the rooms with shoes on because of my cat however the floors were so dirty walking barefoot for10 minutes turned my feet completely black. But the kicker: ROACHES! We found them in plan plain sight, not one but two DURING the day!!! Yes we complained and the response from a manager, "we can't help it. I haven seen any". The Model 6 in Carson like the Bellagio compared to this place. NO AGAIN!!! read more

Horrible and terrifying. My husband was staying up here for work, and I wanted to surprise him for a visit for dinner. I couldn't even stay the night because the room was beyond disgusting and the area was dangerous. The room was decent for the price. Nothing special, noticed a lot of people who actually reside in this motel.. I guess that's normal for motels, idk.. We just chose this because place because my brother and I went out with friends and we had too much to drink so we decided go get a room nearby vs driving under the influence. I left my ring in the bathroom on the towel hook. Extremely visible, I called a couple of hours after check out so they can grab it for me and they said they'd call back. They didn't call back so I followed up and this time Mary answered the call. She had a rude attitude about it and didn't even bother telling the housekeeper where to look for it. She stated the room had already been checked out to another guest without even knowing which room I was talking about. I mean it was literally a $20 dollar ring so no big deal. But y'all really couldn't bother to check and decided to give attitude on top of that.. definitely glad it was a cheap ring but I wouldn't recommend this place at all. read more

I stayed here every weekend from January 2014 to June 2015. I liked it. It was quiet. There is a 24 hr Mexican restaurant right next door. There is also a supermarket next door that is open from 6 am til 2 am. I never had a problem at the place. I found it to be very relaxing. I only give it 3 stars because it is a motel six, and its not like they have room service and chauffeurs. Its a basic roof over your head and the weather was always nice. My family and I needed to stay here spur of the moment and the staff was great. Brandi the receptionist was great, friendly, and helpful. The room was clean and the grounds were well maintained. The security monitored around the clock. There is even a area for the pets to go for a walk. read more

This place gets 1 star because 0 stars isn't possible on Yelp. We had no room even though we booked one week in advance. The front desk tried to charge a higher rate than advertised. When we finally got a room, there was a whole SWAT team in the room next door. Full on vests and equipment. It seemed like a drug bust. They also gave us a one bed smoking room when we asked for a two bed NON-smoking room.When we got the two bed non smoking room, it REEKED of smoke. It even had an ash tray with a no smoking sign on it. WTF. Room was also small, no microwave, or fridge. The two full beds were almost touching each other. Small shower with no water pressure. A lot of prostitution going on. Women in risqué clothing standing outside their doors, eyeing everyone who passed by just waiting idly. Many people loitering in the parking lots of the surrounding stores that stare at you. Later on families were evacuated from rooms for some reason. This place is just shady. They are very unorganized and inefficient, didnt get a room till after the guaranteed check in time, understaffed, dirty rooms, also very small rooms but that wasn't the problem. I may be back to this shitty area for another insomniac event, but no more of this craphole. I have been to many motels where they are expecting a lot of people and are able to check them in on time or earlier, as well as provide clean rooms instead of rushing everything which failed. read more

Underwhelmed with this Motel-6. Stayed here when coming home late from Thanksgiving in Victorville. On the bright side, they didn't charge extra fee for dogs, free ice inside office area & coffee available for couple am hrs. Also, there are a variety of stores just outside your door. Aside from that, no refrigerators, paid WiFi, small TV (under 20") with limited cable, and only a shower stall (no tub). The rooms seems baron & the furniture cheap, compared to other Motel-6's. read more

Honestly, this is the nastiest motel I have ever stayed at. If I could give them no stars, I would. I'd honestly rather have slept in the car. Floors were disgusting, which doesn't make sense because it's wooden floors... so it should be easy to clean. Didn't even bother taking out the trash before giving us the room. The bathroom was so gross. I've never taken a shower so fast in my life. But what irritated me the most was the pillowcases. The maids are rude as hell. Watch out if you leave your room unattended they will go thru your belongings. This is tweaker central, hide you wife , and kids. I couldn't walk to the store without asking if I had any smack. The Manger is by far one of the worst hotel mangers in Motel 6 history. She was rude and unreasonable.(We get it, no one wants to be with you). The washer machine didn't work and my clothes were soaking wet. Their wasn't any hot water ever. Was not able to stay @ location as planned, I was on the road with my wife and pregnant daughter, I arrived onsite @ 0300 after a 400 mile leg only to be told that there is a midnight cancellation, and they were completely booked. So not only was I charged for the night, but I was not given an option to pay for another room. I used booking.com and was never given any information regarding the hotels midnight cancellation. I reached out to booking.com they went to the Hotel manager and he/she refused to issue a refund. Booking.com said to take it up further with the Hotel directly. read more

We had the misfortune of our car breaking down in this armpit of a town last night. Having stayed in plenty of Motel 6's in my time, I didn't anticipate any problems. We seemed to have checked in during what I can only assume was Fontana's national Hooker convention, as the place was swarming with Prositutes, angry looking Pimps, Cops and plenty of "Johns". I personally have nothing against Hookers, I just prefer not to share sheets with them. Unfortunately since we were towed there, we had no option to leave. The place was booming, with (literally), a line out the door throughout our stay. We were directed to our room, so we went up and got settled....for about 5 minutes. In my opinion, charging someone $75 for a room whose air-conditioner blows lukewarm air during a heatwave is unacceptable. Especially when the (non-smoking) room already reeks of stale cigarrettes. We were literally dripping with sweat. Then, we discovered the toilet littered with pubic hair. Awesome, right? I know you're jealous. But wait, there's more. We call the front desk and tell them we need a different room so, we have to grab all our stuff and get our new key, whatever. We get to our second room, air-conditioning works great. And then we meet our new friends. Ants covering the bathroom and the not-so-friendly ROACH we smashed on the wall. We slept with the lights on all night, hoping that would keep more from venturing out and (HORRORS), from crawling on us. Needless to say, we got very little sleep. If the town and it's inhabitants weren't so awful, along with the weather, I would have rather slept in my car. You've been warned. This place is a total shit-hole. Avoid it like the plague that it is. P.S. I want a damn refund. read more

This place is a RIP OFF!!! I had reservations for a stay. Upon check in they told me I had no reservation and proceeded to tell me that there was an error in the reservation system and they were sold out. Upon finding me a room in there "sold out" Sh*t whole hotel they then tried to charge me $170 for a $69.00 reservation! After going back and forth they came down to 140. I had no choice as all other hotels were sold out in the area. I have filed a complaint with there corporate office and not even a call back after 3 weeks. Great way to treat VETERANS!! read more

Every time I come to this motel, I can expect nothing but great service. I'm not saying this place is a palace or anything but the stay is comfy and clean! (Comforters just need an upgrade lol) But let me tell you about their guest service, there's a lady that works the front desk who should be recognized, her names Angelene and she's an all star when it comes to guest services! She welcomes everyone with a smile, greets them by their name, and multi tasks. I say this because every time my mother in law annoys me I end up leaving and staying here lol...and I can say I've seen Angelene enough times, to notice she treat every guest with respect and looks happy doing her job!!!
