First off, the front desk folks were very helpful and kind so this is NOT a reflection on them. The motel is touted as having truck parking but it is really just a short (80') curb near a strip of palm trees that is already partially occupied by a broken down travel trailer with trash piled up around it. The entire area smelled of pot smoke and just looked very unkempt. The room actually looked very nice and clean but unfortunately the deadbolt didn't work and I had no intention of staying here without a way to lock my door. I travel a lot for work and I depend on the, up until recently, uniform pet friendly policies at Motel 6 locations. That policy has traditionally been no specific pet friendly rooms and no pet deposits required. It appears that maybe franchising has changed that and now it varies by location. I can report this location is pet tolerant at best and if not for the long standing Motel 6 pet policy, I doubt this location would allow animals. The best example would be when they wanted to pin a $60 deposit on me the second day of my stay for the condition the room was left in the week before. That in and of itself makes no sense. Why wasn't this brought to my attention at check in? Anyway, it was somehow subjectively decided that my dogs odor was more offensive than most? I have no clue. So again, pet tolerant, not pet friendly. The locations in Westley and Stockton are adhering to the former policies so I would recommend them for the area. read more

The worst experience, didn't get any sleep due to the neighbors being up all night. The room smelled of pee and smoke.

Absolutely one of the worst stays I've ever had. Lighting only half worked and switches were installed backwards. Stains all over bedding and curtains. Bath faucet had a pretty bad constant leak. A giant plastered hole in the shower wall from water damage most likely. Also the water temperature would fluctuate wildly and those were also installed backwards, hot was cold, cold was hot. No iron, no blow dryer, no closet or hangers. Sandpaper toilet paper and I'm pretty sure I had an allergic reaction to their soap and they do not provide complimentary shampoo or conditioner. The front desk person completely messed up our room. When I explained that I had booked my room over a month ago and specifically requested 2 beds, she just told me they didn't have the room and we could leave. Seriously? We had about 10 rooms booked there for our group traveling to a car show, and 7 out of the 10 rooms were not what we booked. I had booked through Booking.com June 23 to stay July 23. Once I arrived at the property I was told that there was NO availability due to "Overbooking". First off not only did I book a month in advanced, I checked in later that evening. So a whole day/ month went by without any notification of the over booking, PLENTY of time to be advised. Yet I was not. Seems like some processes need to be revised. When I asked if I would be charged I was told to contact Booking.com as it was a third part i booked through. TV didnt work, someone stole the power cord, phone did not work, light in the bathroom was barely useful, curtains were maybe half hooked, no body wash or shampoo, torn upholstery, drug cartel in the parking lot, and crazy women pounding on our door and hookers. Not to mention the trash outside our room that was still not touched after we notified management, loud music. Do not stay here! First off we asked for a non smoking room and our room was saturated with old cigarette smell. The floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months and there was cigarette burns all over the place. The shower was nasty.. There was tweakers and sketchy looking people walking all over the parking lot and in and out of the rooms. People slamming doors all night long. People upstairs sounded like they were moving furniture all night and stomping back and forth. This place was disgusting and scary. I was worried our truck would be broken into. We reserved 2 nights and checked out after the first night. I'm in a battle trying to get my money back for the 2nd night. It was cleaned, the only thing I noticed was a couple of small holes on the quilt/top bed sheet of one of the beds. Location because it was at the half way point of a long drive and based on images posted on the Motel6 official website this location looked newer, renovated, and located near shopping and restaurants. Upon checking in to the room, I looked at the bathroom door and saw what looked to be a bullet entry and exit hole on both sides of the door. ( See pictures). I would NEVER in a million years recommend this location to a traveler, especially a traveler with children. The people hanging in and around the hotel looked like nothing less than trouble. I asked for a non-Smoking room and as soon I opened the door it hit me, smelled like someone was smoking right at that moment, I went and ask for another room, the lady at the front desk asked if maybe by spraying the room will make it better; I said no it wouldn't. So they gave me another "non-smoking" but yet again it stinks like cigarettes. There are also roaches in the bathroom and in the room crawling on the walls and ceiling. The curtains are very old and they are hanging by using pins, they don't clean up that good there is a cigarette butt I will asume on the door frame inside the bathroom, the bed covers have cigarette burns on it. I try to look for another hotel but they had no Vacancies so I had to tough it up. the price that I payed for the room is not worth it. I will definitely not come back. Massive internet problems. I tried connecting my phone and laptop and both could not connect. The front desk said the network was just fine and probably my problem. Worst motel stay of my life! The room did not look like the online photos, there has been a lot of wear on that furniture in the last several years it seems. The room was extremely dirty, super powerful smoke smell (I had assumed it wouldn't smell great being a smoking room but this was nausea inducing), The cable did not work, the heater was broken, the tub was dirty, the window lock was broken, the room was filled with flys, it was just all around gross. As some others had said, it's pretty clearly a place where some people are living, drug dealers, etc. There were a lot of creepy people hanging out outside and in their cars when I got back to the room around 11pm. I complained in the morning after sleeping maybe 2 hours and woke up sick from the cold, the front desk employee told me she would talk to the manager and I would either see a refund or she would call me, I did not receive a refund and she did not call me. She also told me that I got a good deal on the room for a weekend night! ha! $75 to stay in a disgusting place when you could stay somewhere 10 times nicer for $20-$30 more is laughable. She also said they were not aware of all the issues in the room, I have added several pictures, you can see it's pretty obvious and they should not have to be told by a customer that everything is dirty and broken. Okay my husband and I worked all day and decided to get a room instead of drive 2 hours home so we came here. We got here in a first impression was not good at all because this is a druggie Motel. Too tired to drive home or go someplace else we stayed. The place is not clean and the first thing we smelled was smoke when this is supposed to be a non-smoking room so I tried calling the office to let them know that this is a smoking room and we are not the ones that smoked because we do not smoke at all the phone didn't work, so I called on my cell phone and it rang and rang with no answer at all and then disconnected me. I took a bath with Mel do around the bottom of the rim around the caulking, and then my husband took a shower but the shower wouldn't work so he had to take a bath and he was not happy about that.So now with our tools and everything out in the truck we are hesitant to even go to sleep because in fear that all of our tools will be stolen from our truck. I was very surprised. when I walked into my room. It is definitely a bold new look. I should have taken a picture of the TV I really liked it. It was a 32' LCD flat screen on the wall and even had easily accessible tv hook-ups i could have brought my computer or dvd player to watch movies. I love the hardwood floors in the room, although i would suggest bringing slippers or fuzzy socks, its cold bare foot LOL. It was very clean, smelled good. The owner was an indian guy who spoke perfect english, unfortunately I didnt catch his name. He was a very very nice, sweet guy. They did just recently open this location so half the rooms are still being renovated. I only noticed because I asked the owner about some empty rooms I saw. It looks very clean and organized the owner has done a good job in keeping the parking lot looking clean and not like a construction site like some places that go through renovations. You cany even tell that half the rooms arent done yet. I suggested that he offer little things like toothbrushes, toothpaste packs, shaving cream, etc. you know, the little things that sometimes someone might need and I hope that is something they do decide to pick up in the future. I spent one night and enjoyed my stay and the room. I am planning on needing another room around thanksgiving again and this Motel 6 will definitely be where I will go!!! read more

I travel all over the west coast for work. Many different states and hotels/motels. I know I'm a big dummy for trying to complain about a motel 6. ... but I have stayed in quite a few. The neighborhood actually isn't bad. But I have to say that I've never stayed in a motel that was so out of touch with their customers. For one, my shower did not work correctly the first night I stayed. The hot water and cold worked but when you turn the knob to make the water go to the shower head it only went about half way. Well the majority of the water going into the tub was searing hot. So I was forced to take a darn near cold shower while standing in searing hot water. I called the front desk when I arrived at work and let them know. I was told it would be fixed. Well it was not. I called again on the second day and she said it would be fixed on the second day. It was not fixed. The third day the same exact thing. Besides the fact that my room was only cleaned once out of these 3 days. This had nothing to do with Covid. All of the other rooms, except my workers rooms were cleaned. I have brain cancer and walk with a cane also. So I was not too happy having to dump my own trash cans.. This is the third day and I went back to the motel for lunch (to check) shower was not fixed yet. And no cleaning yet.... talked to housekeeping and she promised to clean the rooms. At 230pm. Housekeeping was very nice and professional. The front desk however could use some classes or something about making promises to customers and not following through. Although, they are expanding the motel next door. It might be really nice when they finish. This is the first time I have left a review for anything really. It's too bad that I have to be a complainer. The walls and windows are pretty sound proof but the floors and ceilings are not by any means. I had 4 older Hispanic workers up stairs that sounded like they played soccer ever morning at 3 am, I do know that this is not the management's fault at all. But it still sucked. To the management and owner.... no hard feelings. I just really hope that the shower is fixed before I get there. I'm tired of that thing. read more

Stayed here for two nights from out of town and hated every minute. If you're anywhere near room 140 and 141, GET OUT OF THERE! I believe the people in those rooms live there. They would stay out until 1 am shouting, blasting music, treated the parking lot like their backyard, and kids running around. Called the office multiple times and nothing would shut them up. Not only would they hang out outside being obnoxious they would be right outside your door talking extremely loudly. The cops were called (not by us) and that didn't do much. FINALLY at 1 am they went into their rooms. House cleaning would take towels and not bring any back. They would also just throw all of our stuff onto the table. They should get do not disturb signs. Our rooms also smelled strongly of urine. I will never stay here again unless absolutely necessary. I will refuse to even stay in a room near 140 and 141. I would get more sleep sleeping in my car. read more

Let's start of by the good. The staff is well, mediocre. Their attentiveness, niceness, respect, etc is mediocre. Nothing truly commendable. Next, the rooms. The rooms are sufficient. They are tidy and fresh. I like the upgraded style of the new Motel 6. This motel is updated. The pool was nice feature in the 100+ degree San Joaquin valley weather. Next, the bad. Do what you have to do before, let's say, 3pm. Because after that, the FREAKS come out at night. Many wanderers vacillate through the property...some on bikes, some on foot, some on drugs. If you don't get an early swim in at the pool, then it gets crazy at night. NO diving is allowed but that rule is thrown out the window. People off the street that are not room renters begin to invade the property. Loud cars, drug deals, and prostitution after 3pm! While we stayed, some of the residents or street people, we couldn't really tell since they all look alike, began to have a bbq in one of the parking stalls. Young men with tats and tank tops crowded around looking like they were gang banging! It seemed as though management either left or took the night off. This happens nightly! We were awakened by a solicitation refusal near our door in the wee hrs of the morning! I was going to book another day but chose not to. This place sucks after 3pm, they need to hire security. I like this motel 6. This is the first one that I have been to that offers king size beds!!! The rooms have been upgraded, all new!! Comfy beds, very clean. The pool was nice and clean. The entire place was so clean. The ac was blowing cold. Had a small fridge and microwave in the room. No coffee pot though. Has to walk to the front office to get morning coffee. I think that was the only draw back about this place. The front desk clerk was nice and friendly. Checked me in quickly. Overall this is a very nice motel 6. And for 55 bucks for the night u cant go wrong!!! The area around the motel was quiet. Didn't see any bums or hookers around at all! Shopping and food are close by. Great motel for a cheap stay on your road trip!!!!! Oh yeah the other thing I didn't like was u have to pay for Wi-Fi if ya want it. But that wont stop me from staying here again. read more

Ohhhh...... You get what you pay for..... $50 for a room.... Recently renovated huge room, in a what appears to be a rapid and careless fashion. We had a smoking room, it was abused. Bed cover was stained, the toilet seat was burnt, walls were colored on in places and the floor was very dirty when we arrived. They had a Quartz or similar type counter in the bathroom, and a granite or similar type shower wall. The beds were comfy, the room of course smelled terrible like smoke... No effort to air out of air freshen.... It was freezing when we got in there even though we reserved the room over the phone for a 3 day stay.... We left after one night, did receive a refund for the 2 nights we didn't stay. Our dead bolt didn't lock, and we had a room with a parking lot entrance..... In the "long term area" it appeared.... It was soo dirty outside the room... And a neighbor informed us when we arrived to the room that she was waiting for the cops because her truck was "broke into"..... Needles to say we barricaded ourselves in the room.... Had some weapons near by.... Attempted to sleep... A man & woman began fighting in reality tv fashion around 10-11 pm, I called the desk to complain about half an hour in, they kept at it for over an hour. In the morning while checking out I was told that the church paid for their stay..... and I wasn't the only one who called to complain. I have recently stayed at this Motel 6 and I do not recommend to stay here. There was blood stains and burns in the sheets and blankets. The walls are paper thin and it sounded like the guest upstairs were going to come through the ceiling. The only good thing about this motel is the location and the staff. read more

Each time we visit MANTECA we stay at the Motel 6 right off Hwy 99 and Hwy 120 they ALWAYS have clean rooms and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. They even allow us to bring our small doggy with us so we don't have to board him. They are friendly and Fun you can tell each of the room hostesses enjoy their work they are always laughing and visiting while working hard we HIGHLY recommend this motel when traveling just save me a room for the I am passing thru Also ; are several restaurants near and adequate shopping read more

Nice place to stay for the price. Room was clean and big. No coffee pot in the room, but there is a free machine in the lobby. It also has Trailer parking if you are towing someting. Maybe 3-4 spots and I think a giant lot in the back for Semi trucks. Friendly staff and friendly guest. I will agree with Zena that people may be living in the hotel, but they were nice. Needed to book a place for the day for a friend who was having an extended stop during his road trip. So, I googled prices and the site said it was $57. When calling in to inquire about a room, they told us the room was $70something dollars with tax included. We mentioned that the site said it was $57, and they lowered it to about $65. This was a little confusing, but it was nice of them to change the price despite the site saying a different one. The room was nice, except that one of the sheets had burn marks and dark red stains. The worst part and the reason why this review is a one star (And I would give it zero if I could) is that, upon returning to the room in the evening to rest, there was someone else OCCUPYING THE ROOM. They CHECKED OUT my friend without notifying him, and under the knowledge that he was to have to room. Not only that, at some point in the day when they did this, they let someone else in the room to have it. Not only is this ridiculous, but absolutely unethical and unsafe. We are fortunate that my friend did not leave any belongings in the room, because those could have potentially be taken, etc. It's also fortunate that nobody was in the room when they had these other people come in, because that would be scary and dangerous. (Although it was both frightening and dangerous enough to come back to the room, and see people in it.) He DID NOT check himself out, and even had the key on him. The hotel management unceremoniously and unprofessionally did all this. We will not be coming back and we will tell anyone else interested in staying in this area that Motel 6 is NOT the place to go. read more
