The room they were originally gonna have me in had over 5 huge burnholes in the bed bigger than a cigarette can do and the night stand that was supposed to be mounted on the wall by the bed was completely broken and just set back up to look like it was stable. After that I request a new room and they moved me to the second floor which has mold growing all over the windows blatant to see, a broken tv, no wifi connection and the ac/heat is broken. They say they are pet friendly but threatened to keep my deposit if I brought my dog in my room. They give off a very shiesty vibe like their setting up new tenants to have to pay for room repairs. This place should not be up and running and is a health hazard, they do not keep up with motel 6 franchise expectations and demands. I would give this motel 6 a 0.01 rating if I could. The pillows are those infallible jail house plastic pillows that go flat when you rest your head on them and the room smells like shit mixed with humidity. read more

Clean and comfortable beds. Not fancy but friendly staff. Guests were quiet and working class. I would choose this property again. Refrigerator and microwave available at extra fee, when available. Pets allowed with only a deposit, no daily fee. This is huge if you travel with pets. In the middle of a commercial district, there is no city or expressway noise. read more

This was the worse hotel experience I've ever had. The room was filthy. I had to kill several bugs. There was a huge one in the shower. The toilet had poop smears from a previous guest that were not cleaned and the shower was dirty. A dirty used towel was left on the sink counter. The front mat inside the room looks like it has never been cleaned. There is debris all over the floor it obviously was not swept. The curtains were falling off. I do not recommend staying here. I'm thinking all they did was make the bed and not even clean the room. I'm really hoping at least the sheets were changed. It gets worse and worse. I'm sitting on the bed and have gotten up to kill 4 more bugs then I see 2 huge roaches running across the floor. There's so much I hate about this place. It is disgusting, dirty, in poor shape and NOT SAFE! Here's the worst of my list: -Trash, including broken glass everywhere. I hated taking my dogs for a walk because there was no safe ground to walk on. -Noise all hours of the day, people drunk and fighting. Don't expect to sleep. -Bugs and gnats constantly coming out of my sink -WiFi doesn't work. Don't select the pay option. So, I'll explain my stay. It was for around 30 days due to work. It was ok at first. Then crowds of people checked in. I'm 99% sure it's a group of Romanian Gypsies. Just look at the pictures I'm posting. They are everywhere! They let their kids run around all over the place, banging on doors and windows. They congregate, and when you try to walk through, they won't even move to let you by. They are loud. Constant yelling, fighting and no regard for others. They have way too many people per room. Beds pushed together and 6-7 kids sleeping while they leave their doors open. The drunken fights started just a few days ago, and I feel more unsafe than ever. I have to walk through the crowds with my 2 little dogs and get yelled at when the dogs bark because the kids are trying to grab them. I know it's not Motel 6's fault for the people who stay here, but there needs to be some control over these issues. It isn't worth saving money on a room when you have to deal with the stress of this. read more

Do not stay here, after waking up in the middle of the night I was greeted by cockroaches in the room I was able to kill one get a picture and they would still not issue a refund. The front desk was argumentative and said no refund they don't care how disgusting the room was . Other than cockroaches it had mold and was disgustingly dirty. Don't. Just don't. Thank me later. I have traveled frequently all over the country and this by far has been the most disgusting and utterly horrifying place I've stayed. Not only is it uncomfortable beyond belief, I do I not feel safe in Room 115 of this building. In fact, due to the sheer severity of uncleanliness in this motel I would feel safer sleeping in my car and that's saying something. At least I know that much is clean. I rarely complain and after driving 10 hrs with a cat at 2am I didn't have much choice and was too tired to fight it. I almost went back to the front desk to request a clean room but was so exhausted I just stayed dressed and tried to fall asleep. This place should be inspected for what I assume are numerals health code violations. I took pictures and video of everything this morning, including but not limited to; smears, stains, tears, and crumbs in the beds, on the nightstands, countertops; some dark liquid dripping from the walls in multiple places, broken lamps/shoddy electrical work; musty dust and smoke smell blasting through the vents; and worst of all, broken hinges on the doors. The metal hinge lock AND the dead bolt hardware was nearly pulled clean off. I will never, and I mean never, stay at a place like this again and not even entertain another Motel 6 no matter how desperate the circumstances. I feel cheated out of 70 some dollars because it didn't even do its basic function of providing rest for a weary, cross-country traveller. In the morning I also realized the TV doesn't even get a signal. Don't waste your money, I'll take my chances in the car next time, beats leaving with bacteria and bugs. read more

Right off the bat pulling into the parking lot I noticed a lot of noisy people who appeared to be living there long term. Children riding on scooters who were swearing at us as we got out of the car. Staff seemed friendly enough, and check in was easy. Got to our room and it appeared neat at first glance. Then we noticed the counters and tables were falling apart, the microwave had bugs in it and the shower had sewer flies. We checked the beds for bed bugs and luckily it looks like we managed to avoid that. There was old toilet paper stuffed into corners in the bathroom, almost like paper mache in an attempt to cover something up. The towels were threadbare and all we got was a bar of soap. Honestly we could have dealt with all of that for the few nights we spent there but on the second night a cockroach crawled out from under the microwave and went INTO IT when I went to take my food out. We noped right out of there, and getting a refund was easier than I thought. They didn't even seemed fazed. I guess that's what we get for trying to save a couple bucks!! read more

I've stayed in 3rd world Countries with better hotels than this one. no water pressure for the plumbing. 1/3 of my television stations were not available whatsoever. No refrigerator of any kind and no microwave oven in room. large outdoor swimming pool was closed and probably has not been opened in years as it was completely run down and falling apart. Bedspread with multiple large and visible burn holes in it. No bathtub, concave shower only with shower head at the entrance which also had absolutely zero water pressure. when I asked for a partial refund for all the deficiencies, I was told the manager would only be there at 3 AM in the morning. If I had a dog for a pet, I would not even allow it to stay there one single night as opposed to a kennel. They refused to provide me a military discount when I asked for one and stated it would be applied during my next reservation. Laughable! Bruh. I get that this is a MOTEL 6. But this is really bad. I'm usually a cheapskate, scratch that, I try to be conscience of my money, so I figured for $41 my expectations were not high. HOWEVER, I did expect my room to be vacuumed but it definitely wasn't. This is how my stay went..... I checked in at 5pm on Sunday November 15,2020. They put me on room 134. The floors were gross and obviously not cleaned. Okay whatever, I'm not sleeping on the floor anyways, I'll let it slide. As I'm inspecting the rest of the room, I find more debris, dead bugs, spider webs, dust, etc. The thing that turned me into a Karen, and complained to the front desk, was when I found a BED BUG in my room. A really live bed bug. I was disgusted, immediately went to the front desk and told him my findings, he was extremely dismissive, almost annoyed and gave me a new room. No apologies, no nothing. Just "you're in room 221 now." Okay.... thanks, I guess? I go to room 221, and it's even dirtier!!!!! Not sure if it was rodent poop but those little dark pebble looking things was all over the floor. But no bed bugs in that room. Okay whatever. It's freaking 28 degrees outside and I'm trying to turn on the heater, but guess what? IT DOESN'T work! So, I had to take my cold ass back to the front desk and tell him that my heater wasn't working. He rolls his eyes and says "come on, I'll help you," as if I'm too stupid to use a GD heater.... he gets to the room and starts pressing all these buttons on the heater and he still can't get it to work. He stared at it puzzled and then finally offered me a new room, again, for the 3rd time. Room 347. Not as dirty as the other rooms and the heater actually works this time. I finally feel okay to grab my bag out of my car to bring it into the room. I go get it, come back, and MY CARD KEY DOESN'T WORK. I had to go to front desk AGAIN to tell the front desk my key isn't working. The lady(at this point, there was a shift change), puts the card into her machine and hands me back the same card. I go back to the room and the damn key STILL doesn't work... I had to GO BACK TO THE FRONT DESK, and she had to escort me to the room with her master key. She tried the key she gave me and it still didn't work. So I am key-less. It is now 1am and I am cold, annoyed, and exhausted. PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY, TIME, and SANITY AND STAY SOME WHERE ELSE!!! Nowadays, it is hard to find a truly "unique" hotel experience. The whole industry has shifted towards a single concise formula without opposition, and it takes away from the excitement of staying in a new place. Every city has the same Hilton hotels, with the same clean beds, friendly staff, and room necessities, which is why when I first walked into my Motel 6 location I knew I was in for an adventurous night. Walking into our room we were initially greeted by many friendly critters which I realized would make great food for our included pet spider. The shower was covered in mysterious liquids and stains that kept us on the edge while taking what would normally be a relaxing shower, and what was best is that they implied that we should check out some supermarkets as they did not include any soaps or clean towels. The experience was so different in fact that we obliged in not partaking in an overnight rest as we felt that we were not worthy enough, so instead we migrated over to the trunk of our Honda HR-V. Overall I definitely would recommend staying at this motel 6 location to those seeking an alternative to the typical, boring, and clean hotel experience. read more

I asked to borrow a pair of scissors to just cut tags off my shirt and the man at the desk said no, which is hard to believe considering its a motel with an office and scissors are a basic tool for anyone to have. I then said, "you don't have any scissors in this entire hotel?" And the man replied no. Yeah right!! Lazy, stupid works who don't care about guest service. They just want your money which they barely deserve from the service provided. Furthermore, the employees were having a passive aggressive argument in front of us while checking in about giving rooms away to walk-ins instead of people who made reservations. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. The staff was rude from the moment I checked in. My partner and I stayed for 3 nights, after the second night I asked for clean towels and they said "there's a washing machine in the vending room". We asked for 2 rolls of toilet paper and they only gave us one. They advertise on their LED sign, as well as online that they have a pool. Their pool hasn't been open in years, weeds are growing as high as the building inside the pool area. The gap under each rooms door allows for bugs to get in, must have killed probably 5-8 during our stay. I had to go get candles for our room because the smell of old nicotine in the walls and mildew all over the bathroom walls. This location is an utter disgrace for this hotel chain. We actually left this motel 6 and went to the Motel 6 just down the road at 441 W Algonquin Rd. It's 100%x better with friendly staff and CLEAN rooms. I will also be notifying Motel 6 corporate to hopefully either get this place up to standards or take their name away from the owners of this dump! read more

We should have moved hotels after staying one night in this hotel when we came back to our room after a long day and our keys no longer worked in the door because they forgot to activate them for our entire stay. Then in our 4 night stay we never once had our sheets changed even after my husband specifically asked for the service and towels. We were only given extra toilet paper and towels once even though we called to ask for this as well. Our trash cans were overflowing after the second night since no one came into our room to clean anything, which was very disappointing. After our second night the elevator was marked as "out of order" for the rest of stay which made getting from the third floor with three little kids difficult. Not to mention the overflowing outdoor trash cans on each floor and glass on the ground. Overall our stay was far far below satisfactory and we will not return to this hotel. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone in the future unless serious changes are made. read more

My room was still dirty after they "cleaned" it they gave me dirty towels and I basically had to wash up with a dry towel! They fixed my beds and left dirty sheets on them! Carlos at the front desk was patient and understanding; conversational and accommodating. His manager Anete was also very kind and focused on whatever comment or criticism was employed by the guests. Arrived from a 6hours drive to find that 4 rooms later I still had pubic hairs on the sheets, pubic hairs in the shower and the attendant did not care for the picture evidence and never apologized but just kept switching my rooms, and the 4th room had a roach crawl from the bathroom, I killed it and leaving it there for the housekeeper, and tired of getting my room switched yet again, this is a horrible stay and I will be calling corporate for a full refund. Inspect your beds and showers for hair before you accept to stay in any room there. read more

This is a hidden gem at 45.00 a night. Hidden off highway. No signs yet. Rooms have been redone. Brand-new air conditioning heat units in walls new curtains, new lights, new beds, new mattress, new bedsheets, new tables, new sink, new shower, new toilet, new tv. everything is really really nice. Rooms are superclean they really put their time in this it's it's awesome the area the neighborhood is good it's it's in like manufacturing places there's no homes nearby. Tthere's no restaurant nearby and you could drive you can't walk to one and it's nice. this is a great deal near Chicago it's awesome. Internet costs 2.99 for 24 hrs. No breakfast but they do have coffee in the morning. If you want breakfast in the morning at a hotel/motel there are hotels near here about a mile at 145.00 a night. The room I have is a single room I was traveling alone so. Check price for two people. This is very very close to woodfield shopping mall. Within 2 miles. Have fun and they will leave the light on for you. make reservations because the lady down there told me they fill up every single night so call first. read more

Very bad. Might be cheap, but it's still not worth it. It can get super annoying when people keep constantly yelling and fighting on the property when your just trying to relax. The rooms smell bad since they allow people with 2-3 dogs to stay long term in any room. The renovations where done so poorly. Cheap materials were used, measurements weren't taken properly so doors and such would hit other objects, it was just terrible. The worst part is that they will lie and blame you for things you never even did. For example, we had to move rooms cause they needed to fix some things in the room we were staying in, so we moved rooms. After they finished construction, they told us to leave because there was a smell in the room we were in. We went in that room, and all it smelt like was construction, like they had to pull some drywall out. The manager said it was a cat smell, which it clearly wasn't. Then we asked if we could go see the room next to it, and the room smelled EVEN WORSE, and the manager said it smelt fine. Worst Motel 6 so far. I wouldn't ever spend your money on this dump. And if you are unfortunate enough to have to find a place to stay long term, they won't even let you stay for more than a month, and if you want to get a refund if you pay for the extra week and you were forced to leave, too bad. They take it and you cannot get it back. Find somewhere else. read more
