We are travelling with our dog and this hotel takes dogs. We called ahead, checked on the phone to make sure they'd allow the dog to stay with us, and were quoted a price. When we checked in we were told that the price did not include the dog fee -- an extra $75. Not only is $75 a much higher pet fee than other hotels charge; this was also a classic bait and switch. We did stay there -- only to be awoken at 1:30 a.m. by another guest, about four doors down, standing in the corridor and shouting obscenities at the top of her lungs. We called the front desk, but no one answered. The obscene yelling went on for quite a while. read more

We stayed for one night on a Saturday at Hampton Inn at Randhurst Center. Check in was fast and friendly. The gentlemen at the front desk were helpful and welcoming. They explained where the secure underground parking was. The room was clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. One night double queen was just over $200. tax included.. The hotel was full yet the hotel was for the most part quiet. There is a large breakfast buffet free to the guests in the morning. They have a small pool but we didn't have time to use it. No hot tub. A well equipped fitness room. I believe a few rooms are pet friendly. There is a small but fully stocked snack pantry for an additional charge. We walked around the center. There are three or four restaurants in the center that are easy to walk to and an AMC Theater. We would absolutely stay again. read more

Rude front desk receptionist on.. drove almost 8 hrs and decided to have some rest here with my family, reserved two rooms right next to each other ahead of time, only to get there that night and find out they were not.. asked for an explanation in a polite manner, received a rude ass reply by whoever was in the lobby and then an agressive hang up of his phone.. asked for towels and had to go down there for them. 2 toilet paper rolls bedding and towels had hairs all over them. breakfast was over cooked and mushy and lady taking care of the breakfast area was complaining and mumbling profanity about the customer traffic and mess made. read more

One of the better Hampton Inns I have stayed at. New-ish property with large, clean rooms, a very big fitness center and a pretty good dining area. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Located in a leisure center so there is plenty of shopping and dining options around the property. Close to our office so I will be staying here again. read more

A nice hotel overall. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The area around the hotel is great for shopping and there are plenty of dining options. The only downsides were that the pool was cold and you have to pay to park in their garage. Other than that it was a great stay and I would choose this hotel again in the future. read more

It's a pretty standard Hampton Inn. Underground parking available for an additional fee, which is great when snow is in the forecast. What's not great is that they plow ALL. NIGHT. LONG. Plow sounds are to be expected in Chicago area winter but the constant beeeeep beeeep beeeep of the trucks backing up is unbearable. Considering leaving at 3am rather than lay here another 4 hours. Unfortunately the rest of the Chicago area likely isn't quite so on top of their plowing, so the roads would be dangerous. But the parking lot is not! read more

Hidden and tucked into Randhurst Mall lies this gem of hospitality. I have stayed in a far range of hotels, some ritzy some not, but this location specifically has some of the best service I have ever experienced. Robert, the front desk manager, leads his team in such a way that regardless of what my day has looked like, they always radiate the most positive and accepting energy. I have been in between hotels looking for affordable and sustainable permanent living, but Hampton Inn truly embodies the Hilton standard of "home away from home". Hampton Inn Mount Prospect has been truly been so accommodating and pleasant for myself, my partner, and our fur baby. The rooms are always clean, spacious, & comfortable, stocked with the basic amenities that complete your stay. If I could give them a million stars, I would. I am an entertainer, so I do a lot of traveling. I've stayed at many hotels around the world, and I don't give a review unless I feel the hotel offers a fantastic experience. The Hampton Inn in Mount Prospect is such a hotel! I really enjoyed staying there! The best thing about the hotel is the friendly staff. Everyone on staff is cheerful and friendly... from the front desk team to the cleaning crew. Everyone seems to love being there. That says a lot about the management... Nicoleta is the general manager. She is cheerful, kind and very attentive to every situation and request. Robert is a wonderful front desk manager and is as friendly and attentive as he is helpful and considerate. Jakob is also very friendly and responsive, as well. If you deal with any of these representatives, you can be sure you will obtain courteous, ultra high quality service. The hotel itself is wonderful! it has a swimming pool and a breakfast room. Every day, they add some new surprise item to the buffet, and the breakfast is always tasty and nutritious. The hotel is perfectly located inside of the legendary Randhust Village which has so many great restaurants and stores. It even has a movie theater. I'm glad I found Hampton Inn. I'll be staying there anytime I'm in Chicagoland! read more

Stayed here for 2 nights and really liked its location within the Randhurst Village shopping center, which offered plenty of places to shop and dine while I was in town without having to drive around. The hotel has it's own underground parking garage that you access using your room key (hint: you insert your room key at the bottom of the unit with arrows facing up). If you are checking-in, then simply press the call button and give them your name, and they will raise the gate for you. I was told parking was not free, but it also didn't wind up on my bill either, so not sure what the real story here is. The room was very clean and included the usual amenities you would expect to find along with a mini-fridge and microwave. The complimentary Wi-Fi was adequate for general web surfing and email, but proved problematic for streaming Netflix or Amazon videos. There is a paid version available that I assume would have worked better, but I just ended up using my phone as a hotspot when I wanted to stream something. I liked the fact that outlets and USB ports were easily accessible from the night stands. The bathroom was nice and big and a full length mirror hides the decent size closet. The work area was adequate and I was able to fully close the drapes to keep the morning light out. A pool is available on the first floor and a gym is available on the lower level--neither of which I used. I prefer to run outside and there were plenty of places to run around the complex or even in nearby business parks, with sidewalks always available. I was unable to "check-in" on Yelp as it said I was too far away. For some reason, Yelp thought I was over a mile away from the hotel even though I was standing inside my room. All in all, a wonderful stay and would certainly come back here the next time I find myself in Mount Prospect. read more

This hotel is great. My family and I stayed for 4 days, and everything was perfect. The breakfast is nice in the morning, and pretty much has something for everyone. The pool was the best part according to our kids. You have to park underground at night. The hotel charges 8.50 a day to park, which is not bad, considering we paid 22.00 to park at the museum of science and industry. The room was very clean, and quiet. i would recommend this hotel to everyone. We will definitely use this hotel next time we come to Chicago. I used expedia to get my reservations which saved me about 50% on our bill. There are all kinds of things to do and eat around this hotel as well. Great Job Hampton Inn. read more

First thing to note - the map on yelp will not take you to the right place, so don't rely on that. The hotel is pretty nice. I had a king suite and it was spacious with a little kitchenette, including a refrigerator and microwave. The location is great for shopping and some chain restaurants. There's a chick-fil-a and a Starbucks just across the street. Drive a couple miles down the street and try Pita Inn for dinner. It's delicious read more

Four years later, I am still calling this hotel my second home. Glad to say that they now have a fridge and microwave in every room! The one constant here is the quality service provided by the staff. Even the newer staff members are exceptional. I realize that should be a standard in the hospitality industry but we all know it isn't. They do a great job here, even when something goes wrong and I am a little frustrated. The housekeeping staff is also very good and I have never been in a room that wasn't spotless. This is my favorite Hampton and tops the majority of the Hilton properties I frequent. They also have underground parking which changed my life the first time I had to spend winter here. (I live in Arizona) The location is close to shopping, dining, the gym and some great nail and hair salons. read more

We stayed at this Hampton Inn last month for two nights. It's right in the middle of an outdoor mall (meaning, to me, no roof connecting all the businesses), which seemed odd at first but turned out to be good because of the various restaurant choices and lots of sidewalks for walking off dinner. The hotel itself is very nice. It has underground parking (accessed with your room keycard), a little bitty pool (the only thing I'd consider a drawback and still not enough for me to knock off a star), a fantastic breakfast (oatmeal in a crock pot! heaven), and our suite was colossal. We had the three kids with us so I knew we'd want a little elbow room. Our room had two queens, a couch that folded out to a nice-sized bed, a desk area with a tv with a wall mount that could point in different directions, and two sinks (one near bathroom, one in kitchen area near microwave and minifridge). The closet was large, too, but we didn't need any of it with all that floor space. Right by it is a movie theatre, too. read more

The staff has been very nice and helpful, which is a surprise because usually Chicago service is rude from my experience. The only thing that I would rate poorly would be the breakfast. If they had regular syrup, I would be satisfied. Instead, all they provide is the nasty sugar-free stuff. Eggs Benedict was Luke warm, and the pastry I did have was tasteless. read more

This hotel went above and beyond for us and I am so grateful!! The staff was EXTREMELY helpful. We came in from NYC for a friends wedding, and I am a fitness competitor coming up on a show so traveling is very difficult. (I definitely called like 4 times before we even got there to make sure they had microwaves, fridges, a 24hr gym etc and they were so nice about it every time).The staff graciously helped store the meal prepped food I had delivered, held it refrigerated till I got there, then had it immediately brought to my room so I could eat. They even let me use the front desk scale every morning so I could keep sending updates to my trainer. Our keys also kept deactivating because we have charging phone cases (so they are magnetic) and they were available at all hours of the night to replace them, even got me back into the gym at midnight after I went to the restroom and it wouldn't let me back in. They also held our leftover food AGAIN for a few hours up front while we went to the after wedding brunch. The only complaint I have is that a friend of mine checked in late at night after the wedding, and she had trouble getting a key. It took almost an hour to get her a key when it took them just a minute to replace ours, so not sure what happened there. She waited in our room and we called down after a while and the man we spoke to took care of it and got her in her room within a few minutes. Overall I'm very happy with our trip! I was so nervous to travel this close to a show- but the staff went above and beyond for us and made our trip so much easier than expected! read more

Absolutely love the room, came for new year's eve. Very Spacious. Clean beds and Kitchen. Breakfast was amazing and I recommended the the smoothies. But this was all ignored but the service from the front desk. Antonio was who served us for the majority for the night. We had several issues with our key cards. We were locked in the garage two times throughout the night. Waiting till someone could come down the stairs and open the door for us a let us in. We confronted the desk and got new cards. The we were locked out again this time from our rooms and the garage. Luckily we still had family in the hotel. The second time we confronted the desk we were told not to put our phones next to our cards?? Something i've never been told by ANY hotel. Later in the night we needed more sheets and blankets this was around 3 am. We came to the front desk requested more blankets and received attitude. This was from your front desk employee Antonio. We were asked "Why are we still up? " and large amounts of muttering after asking for more blankets. We were very dissatisfied with this service. Although the morning employee was very nice and greeted us politely when checking out. The service is what made my review a 3 star. Other than that The hotel was very nice. read more

It is a very nice Hampton Inn. The staff was very friendly and professional. If you ever come here during winter, they have one of the greatest perks. The garage is heated! You do have to pay, but Chicago can be very cold, and with our two little ones, it was nice being able to get them and the bags out of the car without freezing. The breakfast was really good, and they have, what I consider, real pastries. Not the ones that are generic, but I believe they get them from the local bakery. Awesome! read more

The manager quoted me a rate before they opened this property and said to call back in two weeks when his computer was up. I did. He didn't remember talking with me, refused to honor it, said I must have misunderstood. Ironically, the rate he refused to honor is HIGHER than what's offered on all the major sites. This is an excellent HAMPTON Inn - the rooms good sized , very clean accommodations. They communicate with you right away to find out of you are satisfied. The breakfast options were not typical, but fantastic for individuals on a restricted diet . Perhaps offering soy or almond milk would be great for coffee service - well done ! read more

This might sound like a good review but if your a business man or have kids who like Netflix this is not the place for you. It's clean. It's comfortable. The hospitality wonderful. However, the WiFi is atrocious. The direct to the wall connection internet is capped at 1MB. After testing the WiFi I found the 1MB is all your going to get. So let's say you pay for premium. What are you going to get. 3MB if your lucky. So let's assume you think this is an isolated hotel with a problem. You would be wrong. It turns out the Hampton Inn now sets all of their guest Internet speeds at 1MB and their premium Internet at 3 MB. We always loved staying at Hampton Inn's across the country, now, not so much. read more

WORST hotel I've EVER stayed at!! Absolutely the worst experience with staff and it is not the first time. I've been here twice already and both times it has pretty much been a disaster. As we were sitting down watching tv the security guard came banging on the door saying we would get kicked out because we were loud. This is definitely the nicest Hampton Inn that I have ever stayed in. We stayed for a wedding on June 22 and had no trouble parking or checking-in and the room was fantastic. We did only receive 1 key at check-in despite both of us checking in, which proved problematic later, but I would just be sure to ask for 2 next time. My only complaint is that the elevators are stupid slow. We ended up taking the stairs to the 4th floor every time because the wait was just too long. The location is great though and walking distance to a few bars, restaurants and a movie theater. Would definitely stay here again. read more

I've stayed here three times, and have been very pleased with the hotel each time. The hotel is clean, the rooms are wide and spacious, and the front desk folks are pleasant. This Hampton Inn is situated in a shopping center, making it easy to find food or clothes you forgot to pack. The icing on the cake is the secure underground parking lot, which is important to me as a female solo business travelers. The parking lot is super bright with high ceilings, and very safe. Ive stayed here twice during the winter, and having zero snow on your car, and not getting into a freezing vehicle was a nice perk! read more
