The staff was nice, check-in was easy, and the room itself was clean. The air conditioner also worked really well, which I appreciated after the show. They have a mini fridge in the room, an airport shuttle, and a little grab and go marketplace with snacks and drinks, which ended up being really convenient. We also checked out the pool. It was definitely a little cold, but it was clean and looked well taken care of with lots of available seating and towels. My only real complaint was the shower temperature, which kind of did whatever it wanted and seemed to change its mind mid-shower. Other than that, it fit the price point and did exactly what we needed it to do. I'd stay again for a quick overnight or concert trip.

Likes - The bed was comfortable and had a balcony. Dislikes - The room did not have coffee machine, even though it said it was in the closet, but when you open it, no coffee machine. The room was dated. If they remolded and upgraded the bathroom, replaced the carpet with wood flooring, etc., the rooms would looks a lot nicer. More channel option for the TV would be an added +

Holiday Inn Express Chicago NW - Arlington Heights by IHG…read more So far. Nice. Clean. This Holiday Inn did some major light updates. Nice blue lights. Normally it's green. Great breakfast. I feel I should mention that our room was almost perfect. We had an ant issue. While we were in our room, a large group of ants invaded our room. We were at level 3. They mostly attacked my open coke pop can and they crawled all over my wife while she was sleeping. I told the front counter and they gave us a replacement room, but the replacement room had cigar smells. It was a handicap room, but the person before us clearly was smoking a lot. Other than those two issues, the hotel was fine. Highly Recommended.

Extremely disappointing experience and a serious failure in communication and guest privacy…read more When I checked in, no one told me there was any construction happening at the hotel. After getting to my room, I heard constant knocking and construction noise for hours, so I called the front desk myself to ask what was going on. They told me there was construction and said it should last "just an hour." It did not last an hour. The noise continued for around five hours. More importantly, no one ever told me that the construction would move to my floor or directly affect my room. What was even worse is that the hotel apparently did not tell the workers that someone had already checked into my room. I was sleeping when a worker entered my room without knocking or asking permission. This was completely unacceptable and a serious privacy and security concern. Even after I told the workers that I was exhausted and had been sleeping, they still insisted on continuing the work. If the hotel had simply been transparent at check-in, I could have requested a different room or made a different decision about my stay. Instead, I was not informed about the construction, was given inaccurate information about how long it would last, was never told it would affect my floor and room, and then had a worker enter my occupied room while I was sleeping. This is far beyond normal construction inconvenience. The lack of communication, coordination, and respect for guest privacy was unacceptable.

I mean, I guess if you're the type of idiot anti-masker who enjoys exposing themselves and others to potential illness/death, then this might just be the place for you! Seriously, if you view a 4 inch piece of fabric as a violation of your rights, I'd rather you go to places I won't, so that I don't have to tolerate your stupidity. The staff claimed they were unable to enforce mask wearing, as though they are not able to just, you know, ask them to LEAVE THE PREMESIS. Instead, they think you should just deal with it, because they are not willing to do anything to enforce this, beyond signs at the entrance. Furthermore, front desk staff will just tell you there is nothing they can do about it as they stand there maskless themselves while you admonish the maskless people in the lobby to wear masks. Shame on these people. I checked out of this cesspool and into the Wingate by Wyndham next door. If you're staying in the area, please do yourself a favor and just stay there instead. I should add that this place needs a serious DEEP CLEANING. The elevator was gross.

Free parking, a rare commodity in an airport area hotel. Lots of dining options within a 1 to 2 mile radius. Right off the Arlington Heights tollway exit, great location. Why do I say "was", you might ask? Because as of today (7/21) at noon they are closing permanently. You could tell something was up because they've been deferring maintenance on some things. But now it's over. They're going to bulldoze the thing and put up a a data center. You could even see them out surveying the lots and getting ready for the inevitable. Sad to see it go, but we'll find another place.

First and foremost, the staff here were super nice and friendly! Fast check-in, the one of the two main elevators was out of commission for an upgrade. Was told to use the service elevators as the main one will be busy. The room was large, but the room could use some refresh/upgrade. The French doors could go. The layout was bit weird... the desk was by the window, hard to see the TV while working and the TV's can be upgraded to more modern sets. I liked that the room had a small fridge & a microwave - two important items for me. The bed was bit too soft for me. Two major issues that I had during my stay. 1. The heater wasn't working. It was just blowing cold air. The next day I brought up the issue and it got fixed by the time I got back into the room. It was nice to come back to a warm room :) 2. The flooding :( When I took shower, the water leaked into the bathroom floor... once ok, twice, no good, third time, yeah not good. I finally figured out how to avoid this during my stay.
