We stayed there for three nights and housekeeping did not come once. I asked the front desk four times in three days and although they assured me they would drop by they never did. I had to go down and ask for replacement towels. Another problem with this facility is that although you are across from a number of convenient shops, it is across a busy expressway with no crosswalks. Cross on foot at your own peril or get an Uber. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel. It is not a convenient location, service was poor, and the breakfast was very meager and cheap. I hate giving poor reviews but this one needed it. read more

Definitely a little "appearances are deceiving" on the boutique hotel vibes once you realize the shower is a plastic wall like a dorm and the sink isn't completely staying in place. The biggest plus for this hotel is the free parking. Most places charge $30 or more to park in an outside lot without security. The room was fine, and the amenities were good if you are into working out and swimming. I usually spend the nights at a hotel and visit my son and his family. They serve a breakfast with two warm items: a sausage biscuit with egg or an egg omelet with cheese. There are plenty of outlets for all the gear one must travel with. If you like dudes taking selfies, most pictures are of a guy posing and not showing the business. I reported them to no avail. Back when Yelp was more relevant, they would take these pictures down, but Yelp is beginning to fade into darkness. read more

My spouse and I stayed here 3 nights for a mini vacay. I chose this hotel based on its proximity to O' Hare airport, the age of the hotel, and the free parking. Our flight was earlier than the check-in time but I called them and they allowed us to check-in. Employees were friendly. Hotel was very clean; there was an indoor pool and a workout room for guests. I do wish that the rooms had a microwave. Breakfast: I was not a fan of it but it consisted of a veggie omelette or sausage omelette, oatmeal, cereal, fruit, snack bars, coffee, juices. My spouse said that they had the best coffee! Location: Minutes from the airport; Target and Ross are right across the street. There are many restaurants nearby as well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and though this hotel is a little far from Downtown Chicago, I would definitely recommend staying here. read more

Would never stay here again the front desk receptionist was unwelcoming and rude upon check in. I felt like I was being scolded cuz she felt the need to tell me I was early for checking in I am fully aware of what time it was. Did me a "favor" to let me check in without charging me $50 I was actually willing to leave and comeback later. In all my travels in my adult life have I ever been unwelcomed up checking into a hotel and all have been more than happy to let you check in as long as a room was clean without reminding you that you are early and charging a $50 fee. So if we stay there again we won't waived the fee I was informed. This is the first and last time we would stay there just the same. I went there cuz I had an early class in the morning and didn't want to fight traffic. Should I have the need to stay in the area I would most definitely not stay there. The room has broken light fixture and covered with electrical tape. Mind you it's a new hotel and there's only a few cars in the parking lot. This was the best room they had to give me, yeah no problem. I won't be staying there again and highly recommend people to avoid this one. One of the most cleanest hotels I have ever stood in. I arrived around midnight and was quickly assigned a room on a comfortable king-sized bed. Front desk clerk was friendly and so were the staff. Not so much of a view, and o can say that I slept peacefully every night. Complimentary good coffee and tea and not to mention the free breakfast every morning. There was a room temperature pool onsite, along with a workout room. Overall, the best experience any hotel can offer. read more

I booked a night stay with avid hotel Chicago O'Hare - Des Plaines, so that I would not have to drive late in the evening after attending WWE Hell In A Cell at Allstate Arena. I was drawn to its colorful appearance, and its new vibe which led me to choosing it over a previously booked hotel in the area. My experiences with the receptionist behind the desk were nothing less than professional. Since my room was already paid for, the only thing check-in consisted of was a verification of my information, a short briefing of what the hotel offers, and giving me my room key and an overnight parking permit. For your information check-in starts at 3:00PM, and check-out ends at 11:00AM. Aww, I absolutely adored seeing my name on the television screen with the "Welcome to Des Plaines, Thomas" message. The room itself had this cute color combination that matches the hotel's exterior. On top of that I loved the design of the furniture in the room which brought a different style of appearance in comparison to the average hotel. The room met my cleanliness standards! I had no issues whatsoever sleeping in the king-sized bed during my overnight stay. Not once did I wake up as my head was engulfed in-between the comfortable pillows. The shower was okay! I was not too fond of the water pressure, but I did feel clean after utilizing it. And the Wi-Fi internet was easy to connect to with no connectivity issues during my stay. The avid hotel as expected appeared to be in mint condition! The gym was a complete ghost town as like most are appearing unused! On top of there being dumbbells, yoga balls, mats, treadmills, an elliptical machine, an upright exercise bike there was also a TRX Strap, and a Battle rope set-up which I thought was impressive. If you plan to stay at avid, the hotel does have a pool. During my stay, swimming in a pool was the last thing on my mind, so I did not utilize it, but I did catch a glimpse of it while touring the hotel after getting settled in. It was a relief to have the breakfast option in the morning because I did not have to worry about it prior to checking out. If you wish not to eat breakfast at the hotel, Rosemont Market Place is within walking distance and has an IHOP, and a Steak 'n Shake within the shopping center. I would surely book with avid hotel Chicago O'Hare - Des Plaines again because not only did the hotel meet my comfort needs, but its location is also within an accessible distance from Allstate Arena which is likely why I would stay again. ~Blessings~   Thomas G read more

The hotel is fairly new. The staff is helpful and friendly. The room is clean with Dove amenities for bathroom. Iron and hair dryer are provided. No fridge or microwave in the room. The hotel itself is very nice, fresh, quiet and comfortable. The staff this past weekend, on the other hand, were incompetent. My granddaughter got sick, was coughing up blood (she is fine), and it was on all of the bedding. We stopped by the front desk (9:00am on Saturday) to let them know what happened, and requested that they at least change the sheets that day. We were told it would be taken care of. I stopped in twice between 9am Saturday, and 11am on Sunday (the baby had spent the night in the hospital) to grab a few things for my daughter. Still not clean. It took them 27 HOURS (and a strong request for a full refund) to change the bloody sheets !! read more

I wouldn't stay here !!!! They were ridiculous rude ! Checking in and checking out was terrible . Not to mention when staying I was told there's a $50 deposit for pets that's refundable after the stay . Then I never get it ! When I called to see if maybe it was just taking forever to come back they said it's a fee not refundable ! Then the employee on the phone wanted to be rude and interrupted me every second I tried to explain what was going on ! And when he wasn't being rude he was being very sarcastic ! Then eventually he hangs up on me . Upon calling back they continue to put me on hold as they do have caller ID and know it's me ! We made a reservation weeks ahead of time, but when we got there they didn't have a room. They sent a text, called, and emailed a message at 9:20 pm the day of our reservation saying they didn't have a room due to "maintenance issues." Sent us to a different hotel, further from the airport, at a cheaper rate. We waited & took the shuttle to another hotel. Lost 1 hour of sleep wasn't able to sleep in the same bed as my spouse the night before our flight -- hotel arrival was late & the hotel was further from the airport but had a shuttle. Why did they wait till after 9 pm to contact us? Very upset & frustrated, but I'm sure they did the best they could. The hotel appeared clean & the staff was very nice! read more

This has been probably one of the worst hotels I've stayed in. The tv didn't work. I asked for a room for my handicapped friend and the accommodations were not up to part. The hotel was clean. So that was a plus. But there was no microwave in the room. The Wi-Fi didn't work. And also there was no chair. And or couch. read more
