I am probably the first person to leave a review of this place without ever staying here but this review is well deserved. So I booked a room on a website that said I would not be charged until I checked in. Turns out motel 6 charged me even though I never checked in. When I called to inquire about it they gave me a reason that was unacceptable. When I asked for a manager they told me there was none available. I then asked for a number to their corporate office and after saying there was no corporate office they finally gave me a number to medical and fake name of the person I talked to. He said his name was mark but then when I called back no mark worked there. Stay tuned. read more

This hotel is rather comfortable but not the cleanest. The hotel rooms have little furniture and not enough room to unpack at all. When you think of motel I understand you don't think of 5 star, room service, and hot breakfast, but you think of a nice place that is clean and nice. Including someplace to store your clothing. With the two bed rooms they have one nightstand shared and it is tiny. Wouldn't you like to have a place that you don't share to change your electronics or place a book you are reading. Cleanliness isn't that bad yet there are still spots that are dirty and haven't been cleaned for a while and you can tell. read more

The only reason this place is even getting 2 stars is because of the extremely nice and helpful lady who checked us in. My room did not smell as bad as the others we had booked But...there was blood stains on the comforter and the bathroom door had a giant crack in it like someone kicked it. The wonderful lady came to change our sheets even tho offered to change it ourselves. The room itself needed some sweeping and dusting. And it smells like an ashtray so if the smell of cigarettes bother you i suggest booking elsewhere!!! One of the other rooms had left over food in the fridge, trash all over the counter and a bag of trash on the table with cigarettes and swishers. Our third rooms bedding was so disgusting there were food crumbs, oil stains and "other" stains on the sheets and comforters. It also smelled like someone was JUST smoking in there. The lady gave us a bottle of febreeze to spray around as needed. Again she was pretty amazing for even taking time to do any of this for us seeing as shes not part of the house keeping staff. 2/10 Do NOT recommend. For the price per room that was paid i suggest spending a little more for a better place. read more

It's no surprise that this place has a two star rating. Booking.com made my reservation for me and I prepaid the reservation in hopes that everything would be smooth sailing, however they would not honor the reservation because my wife has an expired identification. It was clear from the very start that their issue with her was that she was of Hispanic descent, and made several snide remarks, and I am utterly horrified that this is something that happens in California of all places, they have no reason to require any form of identification from her to begin with, as I paid for the room, had all the proper identification, paid with a credit card, and I guess it just doesn't matter, even in southern California there are those who find certain human beings to be illegal, and as a veteran, I believe in the freedoms of all people, and motel 6 of Menifee clearly is stuck in the stone age... read more

Whoa-- we weren't murdered in our sleep, so I guess that deserves a star, right? I will say that the morning/afternoon staff were nice, but the night shift guy (or maybe random creepy hotel guest) not so much. The room itself was ok, other than it wreaking of bleach/lysol, but the overall experience was horrendous. Also, who has smoking rooms anymore unless you're in Vegas? The motel is full of drug dealers and shady people walking around and yelling at all hours of the night. There were obvious drug deals being made in one of the rooms and then there was a woman screaming on the other side of the motel. While we were out at a local dive bar, someone called the cops and the Sheriff showed up around midnight to check out the situation. I'm grateful we missed that fiasco. We did not sleep well at all. It was very loud next to the freeway and the guests in the room above us were jumping around, yelling, and partying until almost 4am. We did not want to complain or say anything considering what we saw earlier-- snitches get stitches. After a few hours of sleep, we checked out pretty early and got out of there. If I could leave a 04 this place or a negative number I would do that this was the worst check-in experience of my life I was told that I couldn't go there to visit my boyfriend without an ID which is ridiculous so even though he had a guaranteed reservation and everything was paid for they wouldn't let us check in because I didn't have an ID I wasn't even the one registered to check inn. The reservation was under my boyfriend's name why would it matter if I had ID or not. There's no way you can sit there and tell me that you check every single person's ID that goes to visit a guest. This place is absolutely disgusting. We had checked into the room the other night just to stay for an hour until we noticed there are bed bugs coming out from all over the bed. On top of that there were pee stains on the mattress, and dirt marks on the pillows, ceiling, and the floors were black as if they haven't mopped a day in there life in the room. We contacted front desk and they told us to wait one more day so they can "call the exterminator" to see if there are really bugs in their facility which is a complete lie because there shouldn't be bugs here period if they just kept up with the place. I get it being in a motel isn't the most glamorous but come on at least have the decency to upkeep your establishment. Fast forward they are wanting to issue out a partial refund for our 1 hour stay. I don't frequent motel 6. I stayed at one for an emergency and it was a nightmare. We choose to stay here last minute and our stay was for 6 days. For a 2 star hotel, I was pretty blown away by the decency! Don't get me wrong, it's VERY basic and ye there could be some sketchy business going on there but the room was modern and though it showed signs of being well lived in (like scratches on the table, wear & tear on the walls, etc), it was clean! I know this because it is covid time and I personally wiped down every surface. I was even impressed with the cleanliness level of the pillows. I always look through the bedding of lower ranking hotels for signs of previous use, dirt, hair, bugs etc. Like others said, no shampoo/conditioner. Not even a clock or paper/pen. The pool is super tiny. The parking was only extremely full on one night of our stay. We could smell smoke through the walls one day but we just got a 99 cent air freshener. There is a small strip of grass for dogs but it's also right around the corner from a nice little park. (Also, Wendy's breakfast is the best) We did not get charged anything extra. Though a few of the front desk ladies are a little on the stern side, I feel we received basic customer service. Would I ever stay at a motel 6 again? Not my first choice lol BUT this experience has given me a new respect for motel 6. read more

I have NEVER experienced such rude and disgusting behavior from a front desk lady. She threatened to put my staffs luggage on the streets. She canceled my reservations without any notice. Stood here this past weekend and I had a good nights sleep on a firm comfortable bed. Stayed in room #225 which was the farthest room on the top floor from the entrance. Sasha was at the reception desk when we arrived on Friday night and welcomed us warmly. We were out the office in under 5 minutes with key card in hand. This motel has the upgrades that I have seen in the last few years at motel 6 brand. Fake wood floors and new bedding plus updated flat screens, our room came with a mini fridge and microwave. On Friday night I did hear some noise but then again its expected since some people travel in groups and hang out outside their room and kinda party. But I was so tired and needed to wake up early the next day that I fell a sleep and I was good. I'm sure others would complain but hey it is what it is. Left early the next day and didn't get back to my room until close to midnight and fell right to sleep, luckily the party people were away and standing in another building closer to the entrance, when I say party people I mean people that are outside smoking or having a drink and just chatting not spring breaking party people. Try them out, decent rates from other places in the area and only a 10 minute drive from temecula where prices are doubled maybe even triple the price. read more

These people forced to come "check" our room, and then the lady who did so finished by REACHING OUT AND TOUCHING MY CHILDS FACE. She had no mask or gloves on, but that's irrelevant CAUSE YOU SHOULDN'T TRY AND TOUCH PEOPLES BABIES FACES OR THEM AT ALL!!!! Then they proceeded to put us on the DNR list after we tried to check in again. (Had reservations). Then the managers and employees at this site DID NOT WANT TO GIVE THEIR NAMES. Each room we were in HAD BUGS! Coming out the bed and coming from under the sink. A absolutely crazy fly problem, it felt like an infestation because we could not come in or out our room with out a hall of flys trying to attack us. The water did not get hot at all. I had to bathe my child in a luke warm bath. They complained about us having dirty towels as if it's not their job to clean the towels, this is where I felt racism kicked in, CAUSE THERE IS MULTIPLE PEOPLE RESIDING IN THIS MOTEL 6. This hotel was HORRIBLE, the managers are HORRIBLE, Pete and his wife (she didn't want to tell us her name) they will knock on your door every hour and not let you sleep, we told the wife how it's been a horrible stay and it was noisy, she said "it's not our fault, sounds like a issue" managers are usually suppose to help their guest and make sure they have a great stay right? These people are rude, and to top it off our t.v didn't work, we called to get it fixed, they didn't come till 3 hours later and they knocked on our room while we were getting our little bit of sleep after Coachella. Our sheets were dirty, they said "they don't have a do not disturb sign" it was just horrible horrible Stay, I WOULD NOT recommend. Save your time and money and get another hotel read more

Looked under pillow case, YELLOW Old pillows , Room so dirty I went to check for bedbugs because I'm very allergic, & I found a open condom wrapper stuck behind the headboard, that was the last straw for me I called Orbitz & asked -"what do I do" -because I paid them, they put me on hold, & would call the front desk at the hotel for me and see what they could do . RUDE Mr. Patel was saying he would just give me another room(another dirty room) & orbitz couldn't do nothing for me except after me $50 off my next booking, they both brought up the deadline for the cancellation , but I explained WE as customers don't know what we're getting -til we walk in the room & it was disgustingly filthy UNSANITARY & the condom wrapper was just the last straw for me nobody wanted to give me a refund, now ill try& dispute charges. I wish I had known better. I stayed here a few nights then checked out & returned for a few more nights only because the place is close to my storage & I'm in the middle of relocating. I had my dog staying w me & she's often a conversation starter. I chatted with a kid (maybe 20yrs old) for a bit while feeding my dog and an hour later mr.patel walked up on myself and two other guests having our own conversation. He began to berate me for being friends w the kid and told me he wanted me out. He said I don't stay in my room and I walk around his property tales to this guy and woo woo that guy. I was appalled. The next day he harassed the entire last hour prior to check out time and threatened to call animal control to take my dog if I didn't get out by 11am. Yeah I'm giving Motel 6 a 5 star. Because from 8am-4pm we needed to be out of our apartment with both cats and they accept animals. Any employee I talked to was sweet and did their jobs happily. We also needed a room for the morning and they said they could do an extremely early check in. Room was small but clean, the hard floors were a plus for the cats in case they had an accident (they did not). No bugs (although my cats would have loved that), bed was big enough, we had a table and chair too. I don't have complaints. I reserved this room for the night before my wife and i ran a tough mudder event in vail lake. It was a great price for a saturday night and it was about a 35 minute drive from the event, which was much better than driving 3 hours from home and having to wake up at 4am the morning of a race. I accidentally reserved a smoking room, but they changed it for me during a very friendly check-in process. The room was recently redesigned and much nicer than what i'd ever expect from a motel. Flat screen tv, modern design, clean hardwood floors, i was very impressed. The room faced the freeway but it wasn't so loud in the room that it was hard to sleep. The toilet in our room wouldn't flush, the chain in the tank had become disconnected. I called the front desk and they apologized profusely and offered me a discount. I feel like when you stay at a motel you need to have different expectations than when you stay at a hotel, and base your review on that. This Motel 6 exceeded my expectations for a motel and i would definitely stay here again. read more

I got the last room available, there was "liquid" in the the trash can that resembled apple juice, there were multiple droplet spots on the floor from the bathroom area to the bed, I used a washcloth to clean it, but of course it wasn't disinfected. There was a strange odor in the room that permeated my clothing, hair in the bathtub and sink, broken TV remote. I checked in well after mid nite and left by 5:00 AM with very little sleep. Good price if you just need a place to sleep. Wifi is terrible and no breakfast. Free coffee offered in the lobby. Very loud. You can hear everything as the walls must be paper thin. They do have a nice flat screen and updated decor. Shower was nice with tiles and updated curtains. Microwave and fridge made this a steal. No lotion or shampoo here. Wendys restaurant in the parking lot is convenient. Very close to the freeway. Bed was hard as a rock. Pillows were nice and fluffy. Ceiling was dated and looked damaged. Omg...... how can someone make you fool like this. While making reservation I told them on phone that I ll be checking early am at 2 on Sat and check out on Monday 1am. The final charge says $227. And even the notes are written on my confirmation, guest arriving at 2 am sat. But when I show up to check in , they want to charge me for another night because I came early am. I told them then why dint you mentioned the price on confirmation that you ll charge me more for coming early. They don't want to go according the confirmation they gave you,.
