Then headed off to the rooms. We got 2 rooms... each room was the same... Extremely hot ..extremely dirty ..extremely disgusting... bugs everywhere... didn't want to complain right away. So waited about 20 mins too see if the AC would even cool down the dirty rooms.. but they failed .. so went down to talk to the Indian guy that was still on the phone. Tried to ask for our money back or even half. Please keep in mind we didnt stay longer then 20 mins there. But the Indian guy said it was too late to get our money back . He Said we should of told him right away. So Basically I use the two rooms for 20 minutes to find another hotel nearby which we ended up staying at the Holiday Inn. So might I suggest if you need to stay in barstow, fork out 20 more $ and stay at the holiday inn. And for some reason if your still staying here at nites inn.. please use caution. Bring your own pillows, towels, blankets, bed, and your own Air conditioning unit. Ps. Dont forget the bug spray. I don't imaging this place staying open much longer.

I think it came in from a gap in the seal of the housing for the recessed "canned" spotlight in the ceiling. It's been cold and raining, so it was probably seeking warmth. I aired out the room at arrival and played ambient music at bedtime to drown out/mask the sound of the passing vehicles on Main Street plus the loudly talking hobos.

I was greeted with all smiles by a very friendly and accommodating staff. Maria was very helpful, making sure I got everything I needed. On my first stay I was unhappy with the room, it was so hot and the AC unit just wasn't doing it for me. The room wasn't cooling down until about 2AM which made my nights rough working in the heat all day then coming in to a hot hotel room. The second stay was a complete 180! The room was far more spacious and the AC until did what it was supposed to do. The gym was nice and clean The room was quiet and very clean. Checking in and out went smoothly and had no problem whatsoever. Plenty of good eats in the area. If I'm in the area I look forward to booking another stay with this hotel.

The upside is the rates are pretty good! I got my room for about $130 booked the day of. The next closest Hilton was $166. I am traveling on business so I was unconcerned with particulars. I think they are getting right. IMPORTANT: they have these sharp guards for the mattress that aren't flush with anything and trust and believe SOMETHING will happen to hurt someone's leg. This dude cares about the guests, knows the short comings of the hotel (motel?) and shows grace and honestly. If you own this (motel?) please promote him, and if you own a local business...I will vouche for him! He deserves better! 2) THE BAD - literally everything else! The motel was HOT. I arrived nealy 11pm in March. No A/C blowing. In the desert. They couldn't make me a key...the machine was broken and outdated. They took me to my room. it was HOT! The A/C...a relic from the 1970s was not working as more than a fan. (also, the room was not like it was pictured. It was so old and worn out) We are in the desert. The heat had been warming the place all day. And they didn't have the desire to turn the A/C on in the rooms they sold to keep the guests from passing out. I went to the front desk to ask about the A/C - fan. My boy Servando did everything he could. He verified that it was hot af and suggested that he would turn an A/C on in another room to move me there. I thought....ugh. I haven't touched anything, this room and motel are sketchy af, and it's almost midnight. Maybe I should just switch hotels. I didn't touch ANYTHING in the room. Take me to the room where you turned the A/C on for me and I will try that. Room was HOT AF! 1970's A/C machine was tempermental and turning off and on at it's own discrection. I started looking around and there was sh*t in the toilet, everything was worn out and dying, the place was just gross. Finally. I grabbed by stuff and decided to leave whether I got my refund or not. I had an important meeting in the morning and fighting sleep was just not worth it in this flea bag motel. I never touched the sheets. the bed, the towels, knowing it would be harder for the staff. Servando pointed me in the direction of some better motels. I ended up at the HILTON HOME 2 SUITES. More expensive...but the A/C worked and I got a good night's sleep and a decent bfast. I am telling you...do not stay at the BAYMONT. Pros 1) Our room was clean. We got 2 bed. 2) There are all the normal room amenities such as: shampoo, conditioner, liquid body soap, liquid hand soap, lotion, hair blow dryer, toilet paper, facial tissue (stiff and hard), coffee maker with room coffee and tea. There's clean white towels, small closet with an ironing board and iron, AC/Heater, dresser, night table, mini fridge and microwave, TV. 3) they have big parking spots for trucks with trailers (they made a section in their parking lot for it) as well as parking spots for smaller/normal size cars. 4) there's a pool, guest laundry room (3rd flr) and little gym (1st flr). 5) there's an ice machine and vending machine. 6) breakfast here on 3/14/2026 consist of premade sliced French toaste, waffle, boiled eggs; 3 different kind of cereals, peach and strawberry Yoplait yogurt, bagels, orange and apple juice options, fresh oranges and bananas, coffee and tea and a few other items. 7) there's a little sitting area within the hotel by the lobby where you can sit quietly to enjoy your meal. 8) there's a small room by the lobby if you need to print something out. There's a computer, printer, and small counch. 9) there are electric charging parking spots. Cons 1) not a big deal. But there's no bible in the room. I miss the days when there were bibles in hotels so you can read it when you're bored. Conclusion I didn't get to interact with any staff, so I have no review about customer service. But our room was clean upon arrival. I'm super grateful that they provided shampoo, conditioner, liquid body soap, towels, liquid hand soap and lotion, etc. Im just thankful for a bed to sleep on, breakfast food they provided, & shower to wash up. These little things makes me happy. Thank you to this hotel.
