I hate to leave a bad review and rarely ever do but I feel I needed to share my experience working at the Moth Hole. Looks can be deceiving. The store from the outside is beautiful and elegant, when u walk into the store, the merchandise and clothing are all great as well. The outside and inside look appealing but the truth of the matter, the ladies working the moth hole aren't as nice and cheery as they come off to be. While working there , their behavior isn't genuine, and many of the customers they are nice to in person, right as they walk out the door, all the moth hole ladies are rude,shallow and start bad mouthing and talking poorly about that customer. For people of color who don't look like u have much money or don't dress like one of the ladies working at the moth hole, get ready to be judged and ignored if you decide to walk into their store. This store only caters to the rich and wealthy to be honest. I'm middle class and not poor at all, I like nice things sometimes and have fashion sense, but I still will be reasonable with that what I choose to spend my money on. I c no value in over priced designer clothing and bags and shoes, working for them was a complete nightmare and if u don't care about all that materialist crap they sell, then don't work there or better yet don't shop there. The Moth Hole does have nice stuff and I used to shop there even though their clothes are used and overpriced, but after my bad experience working at the moth hole and being bullied and harassed as an employee, my view definitely changed about them since I saw first hand how the store is run and got to see how these ladies working the Moth Hole interact with other customers, with me and with eachother. It was like walking into the world of the plastics with Lauren the owner as Regina George from mean girls and the rest of the gals working including her mother Kristen are all just like Regina George's clan of mean rude girls. Like the other reviewers said, if you don't walk in dressed up looking like you have money, you get no respect and are treated like shit. Seems like other customers who don't dress nice all the time get treated like shit as well. The owner Lauren's husband isn't even that good looking tbh. The women working there are High maintenance women with their expensive designer bags, they should honestly be the white catty plastic snobby bitches of Beverly Hills. They would fit right in there. They all think they are better and are used to getting special treatment everyday and treated like a princess. Everyone working there spreads gossip and tells everyone's eachothers business. Let's just say I found out a lot of personal information I shoudnt of known about my other employees and the owner herself about her employees. The store might seem like a paradise and run by friendly upbeat ladies, but trust me they all wear their masks long enough to hide how fake they are. Most of their customers are fake and catty as well with money so they all get along great and are fake together. If you work for them or stay around long enough, you just might hear them complain about other employees or even their customers if you get lucky. The moth hole is a really toxic environment, I feel bad for each and every one of them since I witnessed them all talk smack and gossip about eachother. And of course when I left they talked smack about me, go figure. The young girl whose younger than me who is their social media promoter named Riley was talked badly about by the owner and especially the owners mom Kristen who complained to me when I first started that Riley was so boring and didn't talk and was so quiet and was uncomfortable to work with since she didn't talk. Later did I know Kristen the mom would do the sale thing about me with everyone else. If you like a toxic environment with gossipy mean catty pretentious snobby folks with designer bags and Prada them this is the place for you. Most of their customers are rude and nasty like the moth hole ladies. But if you value real important things and don't care about all that materialistic crap I'd suggest you do your shopping elsewhere. Yes they do have nice things and they are great quality, but as I said it's way too expensive and the ladies running it are as fake as can be and only care about your money to feed the owner Lauren's already massive ego she has for herself. Unfortunately I chose the wrong place to work, it's Regina George's world at the Moth Hole and now reading other peoples similar experience, I can see I'm not alone in all this. I worked for all of them and wasn't treated with respect either and it hurts me and makes me angry they treats others this way. I'm not surprised others have had similar experiences like my own. When I was just a customer, I was treated just like a dollar bill and was just another piece of money to this sad pathetic business. Moth Hole is a great store, but sadly (management) are all horrible and they all should be replaced! read more

I just wanted to write a small review on how much I love this little shop! The NEW owners super sweet, and will be happy to help you with anything that you need and the new shop is SUPER cute. This is not just a consignment store but they have many many new cute items too, I mean cute, not your typical consignment store extras but brand names that you don't see everywhere. They do still have some of the favorites but everything is on trend. All ages can find great things here, love, love their jewelry, high end bags and much more. The whole staff is great as well. I've been shopping as well as consigning at The Moth Hole for more than 15 years now. It was a nice boutique but two weeks ago I found out not only had they moved right down the sidewalk, they also have a new owners. What a delightful change and improvement! The new owner is so personal and professional. She has made The "NEW" Moth Hole absolutely beautiful. The entire layout of her shop is so welcoming. Everything is brand new. The dressing rooms are lovely as are all the clothes, shoes, bags and jewelry. Her prices are very reasonable as well. I highly recommend The Moth Hole to every shopper! read more

I have shopped at the Moth Hole for 10 years now and recently found out that they moved on the other side of the store that was on the corner. The young lady that bought it worked there for many years and I couldn't be happier to learn that she bought the business and is on her way to being successful. I cannot say enough good things about the Moth Hole. Lauren and her staff are so friendly and helpful, and will take as much time as necessary to help you find that special piece you're looking for. Moth Hole is a fabulous secondhand boutique! I loved the selection of items from clothing, to handbags, shoes, and jewelry. The store is beautifully decorated with a chic, Parisian vibe. I absolutely loved the three-way mirrors and lighting in the dressing rooms. The staff was very kind and helpful without being pushy or overbearing.
