Great spot to pickup unique plants! Appreciated the greetings by the workers and depending on what you're looking for, I'm sure you can find something in your price range.

Huge selection of plants

Mother is one of my favorite stores in the Cities; it's gorgeous & their selection is incredible. Walking in to the store, you're immediately immersed in a desert-y, plant-y paradise--this store is BEAUTIFUL. There's a little seating area at the back, which I want to copy-paste into my house. There are tons of plants I've never heard of before, along with a nice mix of your standard fare. The selection of accessories (pots & saucers, spray bottles, supplements, potting mix, tools, incense, etc.) is fairly large, with everything they offer fitting the southwestern flare & vibe (aka they're really pretty, functional items). Any time I've had questions on a specific plant, its care, etc., the staff have been super knowledgeable & helpful. My literal only complaint is that things are a bit pricey; this definitely isn't a Menard's-tier price point, but I'd say it's definitely worth it. You can tell that all of the plants are well cared for, you don't have to worry about bringing bugs home with your new baby :)

Amazing plant store just north of the North Loop. This place is nothing short of stupendous. We came in to get some plants for our apartment and were blown away. This place has an awesome collection of tropical plants and cacti carefully grown and ready for your home. We got a few plants and some pots, too. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about the plants and plant care, too. They also do potting and home delivery. I am definitely coming back to get more plants!

With that being said, I finally made a visit here Sunday late afternoon on a whim. I started outside before heading inside to see all the other plants and things. Quite the selection inside and outside. I purchased my first hanging basket ever. I'm such a flower person and the hanging basket I got was so pretty. Inside has many different things from bird feeders to nick knacks to pots and candles and many different types of plants. It's well set up and I witnessed staff answering customers questions and offering their assistance. Cost wise I would say everything is fairly priced and some of the plants are so unique that it's a given you need to pay for something like that. Staff I engaged with were nice. Parking is street parking but there's plenty so not stressful. When it's time for me to look for a plant, I'll have to come back.

Then, I asked what type of soil, and they looked up the plant in a database and and gave me a suggestion. I ended up getting my pots, soil, and a new plant (because of course) and they walked me to my car to help me carry everything even though it was cold out. Amazing service, great selection, and a gem of a small business!

As loving parents, we want to help them furnish their home with furniture they will cherish. Repurpose Republic has the best stuff and the best prices in the city. I know, because we spent all day checking out consignment stores in every nick and corner of the Twin Cities. (They're certainly not identical twins!) The proprietor Doug is engaging and informative. He has an eye for a pieces that are architectural beauties. Yet, he can also turn that basement throw away into something that should be displayed in the Museum of Modern Art. Repurpose Republic is the kind of place you want to return to often, just to see what new beauty shows up on the showroom floor. Unfortunately, Repurpose Republic was our first stop, and I was exhausted with all the wasted hours visiting other consignment stores. Save yourself some time and just "hit up" Repurpose Republic. It's the best.

While driving past after hanging out with my mom, I slammed in my brakes and whipped a U-ee. Lucky me with my good parking juju, I was able to pull in right out front. I love a good repurpose store and now living in NE I'm in need of some lighting that fits the whole cool Nordeast vibe. This store is chock full of mid century/retro/some redesigned stuff all without that old people basement smell. (Thank God!) This place has more mid century lamps in one store than I've ever seen in my life!! There are a few super groovy ones that would be a blast to have just for conversation it would conjure up all on its own. The con: maybe it's my jacked up NE Mpls rent I'm now paying or my lack of experience on the cost of retro lighting but I'm not sure I can afford these prices. Boo...because I had a good 5 different lamps/lamp sets that my heart was pitter-patterning over. I was able to chitchat with the owner for a bit before there was a sudden Saturday afternoon rush that poured in. I had asked "if it was consignment? Just him buying/reselling? Buy from others that bring things in off the street?" He responded with "All three" and let me know that he also has some local artist work displayed for sale as well. (Ya, this girl is totally into the whole "support local" thing!) I'll definitely be back to see what cools finds get added...and probably be back for a few lamps...after payday.
