But, I've decided that this place is just too good not to share! I have been attending Windhorse Yoga Studio for about 1 year. The yoga classes are very good and available for all levels of students. I've been to other yoga studios (in other cities) and I typically have a particular instructor that I prefer over the others; but not at Windhorse. I have now taken a class from each and every instructor, and I have to say, they are all good. The instructors are different in their style and methods, but this is positive because I like the variety! I am so grateful to have such a wonderful yoga studio in Tyler!

The entire studio is naturally lit and has wooden floors throughout. It has a very warm and soulful, presence to it. I enjoyed all of the instructors, and they all have considerable knowledge and experience with yoga. But I am pleased to say that I have found my favorite yoga instructor EVER here. Here name is Beverly Massey and is the cutest little yoga instructor in Texas. Think the voice of Dolly Parton with the humble spirit and humor of the Dalai Lama. My yoga practice has bloomed under her instruction, and I am deeply thankful for finding her and all that she has taught me. I weight train twice a week and cardio 6x a week but wow does barre teach you things about your body that other forms of fitness never seemed to surface. My instructor was Laura who was very supportive and patient with me as the moves were quite testing. Overall I love the vibes in here and the low pressure environment. The cancelation policy is a greedy joke. I came in on February 26, 2026 which is before the 30 day window. The manager AND Jake the managing partner informed me because my last payment is March 7, 2026 and within the 30 days of the annual fee, I have to pay both?? I tried to ask for the annual fee to be waived since I won't have access to the gym these next 12 months but was informed they cant do that for me. I feel ripped off. The gym, while clean, is not worth these unreasonable, greedy policies.

The classes and instructors at Club Pilates Tyler were great, but unfortunately, the billing…read morepractices and lack of communication completely ruined my experience. For nearly a month, I called two to three times every week trying to speak with a manager before my next membership payment was due. I could not log into the app to update the credit card on file, and I specifically asked them to stop attempting to process the automatic payment until someone could help me. Despite all of those calls, I never received meaningful help or a return call. Almost a week later, after I deposited money into that account to pay bills, the membership charge was pushed through and left me in a very difficult financial situation. I called multiple times afterward and even went to the studio in person asking for help, but nothing was resolved. They also processed an additional charge of approximately $20 just a few days before the monthly membership payment was taken. My mother also prepaid more than $400 for private sessions. Her health has significantly declined, and she has Parkinson's disease along with other medical issues, so she no longer feels Pilates is a good fit for her. She called repeatedly for weeks trying to speak with someone about transferring the prepaid amount to me, either toward my unlimited membership or so I could use the private sessions. After receiving no response, I obtained the phone number for the instructor who was supposed to work with her. My mother finally explained her health concerns and asked again about transferring the sessions. She was told the matter would be looked into, but she never heard back. Another major concern is that, even with an unlimited monthly membership, members can be charged approximately $15-$25 for missing a class. I understand having a cancellation policy, and I did not have an issue with the 12-hour cancellation requirement under normal circumstances. However, illnesses do not always provide 12 hours of notice. The studio understandably tells members not to attend when they or their children are sick, but members are still financially penalized for staying home. As a single mother who drives at least 30 minutes to attend classes and who has also been traveling to MD Anderson for medical care, there were occasional mornings when either my child was sick or I was physically unable to make it. These situations were not frequent, but I often felt pressured to attend while feeling unwell because I could not afford another charge on top of the monthly membership. I was also charged twice for a pair of socks purchased at the studio. I was told I would receive a credit, but that credit was never applied. Again, the instructors and the actual classes were wonderful. My negative review is based on the billing issues, the difficulty reaching management, the lack of follow-up and the inability to get problems resolved despite repeated calls and an in-person visit. I would not recommend signing a membership agreement here if you have children, health issues or any chance that you may need flexibility. Even keeping detailed records of your calls and charges does not help much when no one follows up and the issues still are not resolved.
