I saw Dr. Richard Rolfes saw for the first time for crippling pain in my feet. Here's my…read moreexperience. Crowded waiting room but the receptionist was very nice, pleasant, professional and was patient with each person. Even the patients were nice - telling me about their good experience with Dr Rolfes. I was worried he wouldn't take time with me but I was mistaken. He was pleasant, professional- nice! He took a lot of time with me even looked at X-rays I had on my phone from Carbon Health. He examined me gently, explained things and designed a treatment and looked at shoes I I brought with Me and suggested a supplement to take for inflammation. I liked him- He was personable and hopeful for my condition - plantar fasciitis and noted I also had a bone spur but gave me hope of a quick recovery. I go back in 3 weeks. I left still limping but smiling. Made a follow up appointment with a different health care professional and she too was very pleasant and lovely. 5 stars.

Stay away. Really. Been going there for years. They used to be courteous, friendly and personal…read more Now they have been bought by some corporation that seems bent on destroying the practice. All of the nice staff from before are gone. The two doctors, Rolfes and Sternak are still there and are probably still as excellent as before, but they are surrounded by an incompetent organization. The local staff only have the power to say "no". I showed up for a scheduled appointment and they told me "it was on the old system but didn't make it to the new system. Third time this happened today." No supervisor is on premises. There's nobody to speak to. Nobody to make it right or even apologize for the issues. The lobby was full of puzzled people wondering what was going on. A very unpleasant experience. Dr. Sternak, when you move to a new practice (and I imagine that will be soon), let me know!

This review is for the UCSF labs at lakeshore as there doesn't seem to be a Yelp page for them…read more I've had a transplant last year and needed to go for blood draws weekly, sometimes 2x a week even. Needless to say, I've been a regular at UCSF Lakeshore labs for a few months and have gotten to know some of the phlebotomists here. They deserve more credit than they are given. Despite having a constantly busy influx of people, they are all kind friendly and helpful. I look forward to visiting with them, even for quick pleasantries during the 2 minute blood draw. I've seen how they've grown from being short staffed with only 2/day to 4 or 5. Sure, some days the wait can be really long but I wouldn't blame that on the staff...that's more relevant to the overwhelm of our healthcare system. Here are a few tricks I've learned to beat the crowd: - if you need labs done before work or due to fasting the night before, get there before they open at 8am - avoid Mondays and Fridays as those are the busiest days - have your ID ready to give to the receptionist upon arrival - make sure your lab orders are current to avoid delays/confusion What's also helpful is that the lab results come back within a few hours, a godsend compared to other lab services out there that take days to produce results. Thank you team, you've been key to my recovery!

Absolutely incompetent front desk. Talked with Brandon and he had me going in circles only for me…read moreto have to clarify that he had zero availability for the next two months. Why didn't he just come out and say it? Scratching this clinic off my list.
