When #2 appointment rolled around she was very rude during their meet and greet hour and kept speaking over my son, not allowing him to speak. I tried a couple of times to tell her what he was saying and she began to silence me by telling me that she can only take answers from the child. To which I advised, I'm only saying exactly what he was trying to tell her. She proceeded to tell me that her volume is all the way up and she hears me clearly, so... It got to the point where my son stop answering her with his words and began using hand signals. During their meet and greet she revealed that she had been a elementary teacher for 8yrs -i cannot understand how. My 9yr old son, who is a people's person with an outdoor personality was very unengaged. She did not capture him in the slightest. She was more interested in using the 45mins they had together to tell him of her trips to Latin America with her family and her love for making music, then to to figure out how to capture my son's attention and keep him engaged. My goodness -I can go on and on about how badly the lesson went. Can you believe this woman began the lesson by yawning and telling my child she was feeling tired from staying up too late the night before RIGHT AFTER my child told her he was feeling EXCITING about starting tutoring. Then she had the audacity to cancel all future appointments with my child at the beginning of their next appointment with NO notice. The experience with this company has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

I called kindercare and Ellie, the director, was always there to support me and answer any questions I had. She assured me they would treat my daughter as one of their own and make sure she was comfortable before making any drastic changes. I was scared to switch her to a new daycare but it was the best decision ever. From her first day in Kindercare, she was eating, drinking her milk, she looks so happy when picking her up, it's so clear that the attention and care she's getting here is what she needed. They've helped her learn to walk, say her first words and she is now transitioning to the toddler class. Everyone from Ellie (the director) to all of her teachers are amazing, down to earth, and so nurturing and loving. You won't regret putting your child here, nothing more important than knowing your baby is being loved and well taken care of every day. - They cook their food there daily, have several playgrounds for the different age groups, and are very secure with two different doors that require a code to go inside. They should have refused him enrollment when I told them he was autistic. In their eagerness they provided a disservice. The major issue that I did have with them is that one teacher spoke in ebonics and wrote assignments using ebonics. I have no problem with teachers speaking ebonics outside of classroom, but inside it should be Standard American English. I only learned this because of Covid online learning. I was shocked at how the teacher could be certified in first place and secondly that administrators did not weed her out.

There are some teachers at this campus that do not grade all the assignments that are in Canvas…read morethat show as work to be graded or they automatically put a zero in Focus even though the work was submitted. They tell the students to turn in the work for a grade but you have to be on top of them to do their job and then they still give you every excuse why they are not doing it. The only one that this is not benefiting is the student as they work hard to complete the assignments and then you tell them you are not grading it. They complain that they can't grade a 100 assignments every quarter but you look in Focus and they only graded 23 test/assignments all quarter. The principal/assistant principal does not hold them accountable. Pines Charter was the only option many years ago but now there are many more Charter Schools in Broward County that would be a better choice to help your child succeed academically.
