Found out about Great Jones Distilling on pulse when they were running a deal that I couldn't pass up; so glad I didn't. The interior of the restaurant easily gives 5 star energy. We had the option to seat where we wanted, which was nice and decided to sit in the middle of the room so we could be close to the live music but far enough away were we could hear each other talk. For starters I got the mimosa and my friend got the old fashion, both were made very well. For the entrees we both ordered the Short Rib Benedict, which was by far the best benedict i ever had. Every component of this dish was created perfectly. I cant speak enough about how good it was. With the pulse deal we got to sample out a flight of whisky. Each glass was alike a shot size and the flavor was described exactly to the taste. So good. For dessert we ordered the monkey bread...Which again, was the beeeest dessert I've had in a long time and the best monkey bread ive ever had. I couldn't stop eat it. I can't wait to go back and try soemthing else off the menu. Sooo good!

For food, we had the BBQ Wings (huge!), Shrimp & Grits, Burger and Short Rib Benedict - all good. Great decor, friendly staff and the live music was a nice touch.

Widow Jane Distillery delivered exactly what a bourbon hunter hopes for when a distillery visit…read morelines up with travel. As someone who always looks for a distillery stop when paths cross, Widow Jane did not disappoint. The space has a great industrial, Brooklyn-cool vibe, from the tables to the shelving to the bar itself. It feels intentional, hip, and still very much focused on the whiskey. What I really appreciated was the flexibility of the experience. You can order cocktails, flights, and even single or double pours, which made it easy for our group to explore the lineup in different ways. We ordered different flights across the table so we could sample broadly, and that approach paid off. They also offer a small but thoughtful selection of food items, perfect for pairing with tastings and taking the edge off while you explore the lineup. Nothing heavy, but exactly what you want when you are spending time with good whiskey. Two pours really stood out. The 10-year distillery-only release was excellent and worth the visit on its own, and the Black Opul 20 Year was something special. On the nose it leaned heavy into mature oak with some dark chocolate and dried fruit, and once you sipped it you got caramel, toasted nuts, a little leather, and a finish that just kept hanging around in the best way. It is one of those pours that makes you slow down and really appreciate what is in the glass. The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff knowledgeable, and the experience approachable without being dumbed down. A great stop for both casual fans and serious bourbon drinkers alike. Glad we made the stop, and I would absolutely return.

You don't think that NYC would have a top notch bourbon distiller but they do with Widow Jane. I took a tour last week while visiting and had a good time. Ryan, the tour guide, is also an employee in the distillery. He was informative and the story behind how Widow Jane started was fascinating. They are now affiliated with Heaven Hill which gives them national exposure and distribution in all fifty states. I came here because one I was in town and two a neighbor gave me a bottle of WJ bourbon as a gift a couple of months ago and I really like it. I had no idea they were in Red Hook and he told me that they are in Brooklyn. Anyway, I stayed after the tour and had a couple of cocktails at the bar. The Sazerac and Old Fashioned were top notch. Definitely pay Widow Jane a visit if you happen to be in Red Hook.

She was really knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the distillery. So fun to talk to, would come back

From interior to glassware,to actual locally distilled spirits and super welcoming staff as well as modern ambiance inside,I love everything about this place. The cocktail selection-from seasonal to classics-is impeccable (I personally love seasonals as it always surprises me with distinct flavors),and there's a food truck nearby,as well as an option to order food from a nearby venue (you scan a QR code and pay the bill separately from drinks ordered through the waiter, then they bring it to you). As you can tell,I'm a big fan and highly recommend anyone in the area a visit (or several!).
