We used Motor City party bus for a friends Bachelorette party on 5/19/18 and I cant say enough how positive our experience was! John our driver was the best! He made sure we had everything we needed and even offered to let us stop and use restrooms if we needed(our bus didnt have a bathroom; which was totally fine) John even got a bottle of wine for the bride! The bus was extremely clean, had a great stereo system, plenty of room for our huge group and all of our coolers. Can i give this place zero stars? HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The fact that they are hiding all their bad reviews says it all- and it's just laughable. I'm sure mine will "not be suggested" as well. We booked this bus for my birthday party. We originally booked it for 20 people. At about 2pm that day, they called us to tell us they were upgrading our bus to a 25 person bus, and to invite more people to fill it. We invited 5 more people. The bus shows up around 9pm, and surprise! It's the 20 person bus! I call the company and they said that they changed their mind- NO ONE called to tell us so. So we had 5 people that we invited, that we had to leave behind. Talk about totally putting a damper on the night. When I called to complain the girl I spoke to was so ridiculously rude. Yelling at me, even cursing, saying there was nothing she could do for us and to send the 5 extra people home and it "wasn't her issue"- mind you this was the same girl that called us earlier about the free upgrade. I've never been spoken to like that before, especially by a "professional". When we got on the bus, which was extremely tight for 20 people, even the bus driver said "I'm pretty sure I'm going to quit tomorrow, this place is awful". You know its bad when the employees expose how horrible your business is. If you want to make sure you have a great night, DO NOT hire this company. Horrible in every single way. Normally, I keep the bad reviews to myself. But because of the rudeness of the employees and how horribly the situation was handled, I'll be sure to tell everyone I know to stay away. read more

I have used motor city party bus a total of twice in the past year, The most recent being December 14th 2018 for my company holiday party. They are on time, courteous and really make the night fun. Our driver was awesome and she recommended a couple fun bars in Detroit. I wouldn't use another company and am actually getting ready to book another night for my husband's 40th birthday in May. read more

We used Motor City Party Bus for transportation for our bridal party for our February 9th 2013 wedding in Brighton, MI (reception in Hartland). The bus was for the bridal party only and took us from the hotel to the ceremony, to our photo locations, and finally dropped us off at the reception. They could be a little difficult to reach in the office at times but were always prompt in returning voicemails and emails. Their rates were reasonable and absolutely worth the service we received. The bus was clean (inside and out), classy, and spacious with music hookups for an ipod. Our driver was very friendly and personable, dressed professionally and drove safely, he also stuck to the itinerary and was very conscientious about getting us to/from our destinations on time. We rented a limo from motor city limo for 12 people for a concert. The company told us we might receive a free upgrade. Who wouldn't want that? When they arrived it was a school bus converted to a limo. Still ok, however then the driver couldn't figure out how to back -up the limo. We had people go out and help her, and she kept asking if she was ok and said if I get stuck you don't go out tonight. Umm, maybe we needed someone who knew how to drive that big of a bus. She got stuck at another location we had to go out and help again. Then we proceeded out to notice that it had no heat. We were told it was on and would work. We had a moment that it improved but then started blowing cold air. So all in all, we tried too make the most of it but in the crazy cold winter with no heat doesn't help. We called and talked to the office. Their answer was sorry about your luck!! I can't stand businesses who treat their customers like this, so think twice before you book with them!! read more

Yikes! Be careful booking with these guys. Get a written contract (seems logical, right?). Make sure you are not signing up for a drop off/pick up. Even though our written agreement said we had a bus from 6pm-12am, with written confirmation, two different buses were sent and we had to make a transfer. Not that bad until you find out the transfer is 2 hours later. Worst customer service I've ever encountered. The only saving grace was two nice drivers. Owner is very rude and condescending. Motor City Party Bus was the limo company we choose to do our wedding and the service was fantastic. While Tim, the owner, may be a little hard to get in touch with at times, he was very accommodating for some of the special circumstances for my wedding. On my wedding day, October 26, 2013, Dan, our limo driver, was 25 minutes early. He called me to let me know that he was there and to make sure that I had his phone number for the day. Our experience was amazing. From the red carpet rolled out to Dan ensuring that my dress did not get dirty getting in and out of the limo. Thank you for making our wedding so wonderful! read more

I booked with this company as a favor to a friend. I booked two buses for a corporate sporting event, only one bus showed up. Half of the people had to drive to our destination because of this, including the owner of our company. I have 27 documented conversations on trying to get my money back on the vehicle that I paid for that never came. There was always an excuse. After 7 months, I still haven't seen a penny of the refund that was promised to us. read more

Be ware of the cancellation policy, because they never told us it was only 48 hours after reserving. We had to cancel three weeks before the event. We cancelled a 10 person bus and a 30 person bus was reserved by the group of people that were supposed to be with us. - the reason for the cancellation. When I called to explain this, he basically hung up on me and said he had to take another a call. Very poor customer service and greedy. read more

Driver was AWESOME and the bus was good....However when you are given a verbal quote and they say 20% gratuity is included be sure to have the contract sent to you before the night of your event! Lesson learned.....IT IS NOT included! that is just the drivers wage for the night. My driver was almost out of a tip because of the false information given by the company when I booked the bus! The drivers wage should have been paid out of the $ that was quoted for the number of hours we had the bus not out of the additional 20%....POOR SERVICE on the company's part! read more

Decided to use this company to do my daughter's sweet 16 birthday on one of their party buses after we used one for an adult GNO on one that went very well. My daughter's party did not go quite as smoothly. The office manager called me three times after I had already given my credit card info and date/time to ask me if I had decided upon using them and for what date. Made me very nervous that anyone was even going to show up since she wasn't organized enough to have it documented after the first time let alone the fourth. I called the day of just to confirm so i didn't have twenty 16 year olds standing around waiting for no bus to show up. The bus shows up and three things that were promised were not there: Party Balloons, bottled watter, and a red carpet as they entered the bus. I would have brought these things on my own had they not been promised and was very disappointed that the bus didn't have balloons! And it was too late at that point to even do anything. It was a hot date so I brought a cooler filled with our own bottled water. I wish that was the end of the issues, but there's more. The driver was upset at how many stops we were asking to make, even though the office did not say there would be an issue with that many stops. The DVD/TV player wasn't working in the bus, the driver didn't know how to turn it on, and while the driver was messing around with it, a fuse blew so that all the party lights in the bus went out. So an hour in to our party bus experience we had no party lights. The girls ended up using strobe lights on their phones for the rest of the night while we listened to music. This party cost us over $500 and the owner was aware of the issues that occurred that night, as the driver was on the phone with the owner explaining what was going on, and they did not have the courtesy to call me after it occurred to offer any money back, apologies or anything. I did not want to make a big fuss of it while we were on the bus since my daughter and her friends were having a good time making the most of it but that was alot of money to spend and for so many things to go wrong and the owners to do nothing about it was wrong. I do not recommend using this place for special occasions that could become memorable for the wrong reasons. read more

Bachelor Party. First of all, the driver was thirty minutes late to pick us up. That was fine cause she said she would give use extra time. We arrived at our first stop, she said she was going to her friends house a few blocks away, which is fine. But when we called her to pick us up, it took her thirty minutes to get there. I told her we were waiting for thirty minutes and she said "no you weren't". On our way to our next stop, I almost fell out of the bus because she left the door to the bus open (on the freeway too). The door is in the middle of the bus so it was very dangerous (I believe she was using drugs and was pretty messed up). Again when we called her to pick us up at our next stop, she never answered. I called her three times and so did a few other people. She finally showed up after we were standing outside for 45 minutes. She was upset with us on the way back and would not offer our request to turn the air conditioning on. Detroit to White Lake is about a 50 minute drive and it was really hot in the bus. Overall, this was the worst experience I have ever had. The following business day I went up to Motor City Party Bus to discuss the issues and the doors were locked. I called, left a message, and no one ever called me back. Motor City Party Bus should not be in business. read more

I would not recommend this company. We used this company for a night out. There were 9 married couples. The driver had a horrible attitude from pick up. We asked her to swing by the next court over to pick up a friend and she had a problem with that thinking her boss would charge her extra for gas but it wasn't a problem for her to drive 2 miles down to the gas station while she was waiting for us to get her a drink after we offered her a drink. She was rude and disrespectful. Our home was 45 min from our outing. She wanted us back to the limo 1.5 hour ahead of time. We told her we would be back 45 minutes before since that is how long it would take to get back. And that is what we paid her for. The problem is we paid her upfront with $100 tip. So what happened. My husband told her we would take care of her even more at the end of the night. So we had the limo til 3am. The driver called her boss and told him that we were staying later and we told her we would stay as long as we wanted without paying her. So he told her to call us at 1:45 and let us know if we are not out in time that she would leave. Well we went out at 1:40, 1:45, 1:55, 2:00, 2:15. There was no sign of the driver nor did we receive a call. Not only that. We had our belongings in the car. The limo driver made up lies about us. On top of that it was a rainy night and water was leaking through a window the whole drive all over a couple. But we didnt complain. We are not that type. The worst part about it is that the owner Tim defended her story. He stuck up for her and did not resolve the issue. Regardless of the situation we paid tiL 3am. She was gone before 1:30. We were 45 min away from home. We told her we would be out at 2. She insisted 1:30. What giver her the right to cut our night by half hour after we paid her. And her boss told her to call us at 1:45. We did not get a call. He was lying for her all along. I highly suggest you use a different limo company if you don't want to get stranded. And we had to all pay for metro cars to take us home.
