Dirty. They will low ball you on your item. Barter with a guy behind glass and then they Make you sit there while they check it in. Charge you a storage fee and then give you the wrong item back. Then they will call you weeks later telling you they made a mistake. 1st time ever, but yet they are not willing to fix the mistake. They think giving back the original correct item is a fix. No I payed for my item, and you charged me for the item. No refund no storage fee refund. Nothing. They threatened to call the police, and threatened to give my item away to another customer. 1st time ever I highly doubt that. No gas compensation, not even a legit sorry.what if I had sold the item on eBay of FB would I be on the hook legally!? Or just have to get a bad review? At what cost? pawned my Xbox and acoustic electric guitar, upon finding the time to get around to my belongings, found an account added to my Xbox;"which was no big deal, It was still functional, so no worries," but the guitar however was missing a bag with new strings in it, and upon speaking with management was told basically there was no way it was removed from their establishment, yet I strongly remembered showing the representative the strings where upon was told the only thing that wouldn't be expected is the amplifier because of surface issues with the box. Management shut the idea down that over the time it was in their custody that it could have been removed and was dismissive to my concerns. I patronized this location for years and only had one other issue that was resolved immediately, but this time the dismissive attitude and basically telling me I was in error is just to much. I hope whoever acquired my strings really enjoy them, and as far as motor city pawn; a rating of one I feel is truly generous considering having a customer for years and losing said repeat customer along with accompanying family, friends, recommendations, etc is a heck of a way to do and lose business... read more

These guys are awesome! Always give you great loans at super low interest on literally almost anything! I take in some tools when I need a couple extra dollars till pay day and they give you about 25-35% about of the value on loan. Very friendly too and they have a lot of great stuff for sale too. Never going back. Treated like shot when trying to purchase a t.v. the tag clearly read " WITH REMOTE" WHEN I ASKED for the remote the guy was so rude and told me that t.v didn't come with one. (After he rang it up) so I asked for a return which he did with much anger. So much so he gave me too much money back. I politely told him he gave me to much money even though I felt like taking it for his rude ass behavior. As he hands me my correct change I said thanks and started to walk away as he yelled " appreciate ya doe" as soon as I get my 1000 dollars worth of stuff out of pawn from here I will be using a different pawn shop from now on. read more
